Chapter 14: Action!
Lux's POV
The former senator stood at the boarding ramp of the "borrowed freighter" waiting for Ahsoka and Rex to arrive so they could depart for Coruscant. As the duo walked through the door into the hanger, Lux smiled to himself at the sight of Ahsoka. It had been so long since they had last seen each other and only by her coming to Takodana had his feelings for her blossomed once again.
"Alright, let's go" Ahsoka said already boarding the small ship. The ship was fairly small compared to pretty much every other ship in the galaxy. It only had a cockpit and a common area which was used to escort cargo from city to city or moon to planet.
Once they were in space and the jump to hyperspace was made, the three of them sat on the small couch and talked about their recent missions, except for Ahsoka.
Kanan's POV
"Yes that's it Jedi, explore the secrets of the dark side. Let this holocron be the beginning of a new journey for you, let it mould you in to the person you were always meant to be, let it..." The voice stopped as Kanan grabbed the holocron and threw it across the room so it was hidden, just in time for Ezra to enter. The look on Ezra's face was obvious that he knew something was up but wasn't sure what it was.
"You ok?" The young boy asked,
"Yeah I'm fine, why?" Kanan blurted out a little to quick.
"There's a Star Destroyer in orbit and the whole base is lockdown, they haven't detected us yet so we've all been ordered to shut down any and every electronic signal." Ezra exclaimed as he went around the room turning everything off that would have an electronic signal on it.
"Oh well I guess we have to wait here, right?" Kanan asked, glancing over at where the holocron had landed to make sure it wasn't giving off a glowing signature that it was renowned for.
"Yeah, everyone's been ordered back to there quarters an..." Ezra trailed off making a curious face that he gets when he senses a disturbance in the force.
"I...I fee... I feel something, something strong" the boy said as he looked in the direction of the Sith holocron. He quickly gasped and looked up at Kanan who had ignited his lightsaber.
Rex's POV
"Wait, did we inform command that we left the base?" Rex said suddenly feeling bad.
"Oh force, we didn't!" Ahsoka gasped. They all looked at each other and laughed for a moment before Lux made his way to the cockpit to let Sato and the other know where they were.
"Ahsoka, I need to ask, where have you been?" Rex asked although the look his friend was giving him, made him wish he'd never asked.
"I can't say, a...at least not yet" she stuttered, looking like she might burst into tears.
"Ahsoka I didn..." Rex started, worried he had upset the girl he had fought side by side for so long but was cut off by Ahsoka who all of a sudden seemed fine.
"No no, it fine. Look, it's complicated, things happened that I don't even think Master Yoda has ever experienced. In fact I shouldn't be back here right now but I was allowed this one time. Things are changing Rex, for good or for bad reasons I don't know but that's what I have to figure out."
Thrawn's POV
Thrawn and Vader stood in front of the holo-transmitter and waited for the Rebels to pick up their call. After a few minutes of standing there awkwardly, they answered and the show begun.
"Rebels, I have called you in hopes of being able to defect from the Empire and join your struggle against this unfair Government. I know I have quite the reputation for seeking out and destroying resistance but after a recent mission I endured, I have witnessed the harsh reality that is this awful Empire. To gain your trust I have brought a wounded Darth Vader, which you can see to my left, and offer this."
Thrawn then quickly pulled out a blaster and shot the dark Lord several times in the head and the chest and watched as his now former rival fell to the ground, dead. I've waited to long to do this to you Vader and now that I have, nothing will stop me!
"Help me escape this Star Destroyer!"
Ahsoka's POV
It surprisingly didn't take long for them to enter the atmosphere of Coruscant and make their way though the air traffic to above the Jedi Temple. Lux lowered the boarding ramp, which Rex and Ahsoka would jump off and on to the temple. As they were about to jump, Ahsoka felt a massive disturbance in the force and recognised it as Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader who was lying on the ground in some ship dead. The emotional pain overwhelmed her and she blacked out as she fell out of the ship.
So VADER IS DEAD. I REPEAT VADER IS DEAD.
Has Thrawn gone mad or is he a geniuses? And is Ahsoka falling to her doom? And what about Kanan and Ezra, what will happen with them?
