Chapter 1: The High Ranks
Darth Vader's POV
Vader limbed his way out of the now destroyed temple. The blast had cut part of his respirator and his leg had almost been completely crushed but he survived, he always survived. And it had all been worth it to see Maul and Ahsoka die in the blast. He finally made his way to his ship and basically fell into the seat, he sat there breathing heavily and after some time, finally activated the com system. "Get me Governor Takrin"
Vader sat in his pod letting the robotic hands fix his broken suit. Tarkin had been on his ship at the time and he had called him to pick him up knowing full well that he wasn't fit for flying. Even a mighty Sith Lord had limits. Suddenly a distant voice came from outside the pod, "Um Lord Vader, The Emperor wishes to speak with you" the nervous officer spoke, "put him through"
Even though his master was just a blue transparent hologram, Vader still bowed before him. "Lord Vader, I take it things went well on Malachor" his master spoke ignoring his apprentice's injuries, "yes, Skywalker's apprentice and Maul have been destroyed" Vader said his head faced down. "And the holocron?" Sidious asked. To this Vader did not reply. "Hm, disappointing" the Emperor barked.
"Due to your failure, the rebels now have an advantage and are still at large"
"But no Jedi can op-"
"SILENCE"
Vader obliged and obeyed his master's command.
"However, I have a solution" Sidious spoke suggestively, "Lord Vader, this is Grand Admirial Thrawn"
Another figure from behind his master appeared, he seemed to be wearing an entirely white outfit with medals on his tunic that clearly showed his rank, he also didn't look human which was surprising seen as there was a strict no human policy.
"Lord Vader, it is a pleasure to meet you" Thrawn spoke
"The pleasure is all mine" Vader said staring at the hologram
"You 2 will be working very closely together" Sidious said and cut the line.
AND THRAWN HAS ARRIVED.
So I hope that's a nice little surprise for you all and yes I know this is a short chapter but trust me, they won't all be this short and remember if you have an idea for this book, feel free to comment it and I could possibly add it in somewhere
