Prologue: Part 3
Ezra's POV
Ezra activated his lightsaber that doubled as a blaster as Vader's TIE came closer and closer to his position. Vader jumped down activating and swiping his red bladed lightsaber as Ezra backed away. "You have unlocked the secret to the temple, how did you accomplish this?" Vader spoke as he closed in on the boy. "You're smart, figure it out" Ezra snapped back and swung his saver at Vader who easily blocked the attacks. "No matter, the power within will soon serve the Emperor" Vader said in his deep hollow voice, "I don't fear you" Ezra said confidently. "Then you will die braver than most" Vader barked as his attacked Ezra. Ezra blocked the attacks but at the last of his lightsaber being destroyed. "Perhaps I was wrong" Vader said, "It wouldn't be the first time"
Kanan's POV
Kanan was furiously clashing sabers with Maul trying to gain the upper hand because something told him that Ezra had unleashed something bad. "You will die, Lady Tano will die and Ezra will be mine" Maul said as he locked lightsabers in an X formation with Kanan. "Not if I have anything to say about it" Kanan snapped right back. "You won't be saying anything at all" Maul snarled and with that, Kanan was pushed off the ledge.
Maul's POV
Maul had sensed it when he had told Ezra to go and activate the temple but now he was actually here. Vader was going to die.
Ahsoka's POV
"It wouldn't be the first time" Ahsoka said. She watched as Vader stopped right in his tracks and turned around to face her. Does he recognise me?
"It was foretold that you would be here, our long awaited meeting has come at last"
"I'm glad I gave you something to look forward too"
"We need not be adversaries, the Emperor will show you mercy, if you tell me wether remaining Jedi can be found"
"There are no Jedi, you and your inquisitors have seen to that"
"Perhaps this child will confess what you will not"
"I was beginning to believe I knew who you were, behind that mask but it's impossible, my master could NEVER be as vile as you"
"Anakin Skywalker was weak. I destroyed him"
"Then I will avenge his death"
"Revenge is not the Jedi way"
"I am no Jedi"
Kanan's POV
Kanan was lucky to use the force to soften his blow as he hit the ledge below but not even he force could stop the pain from seeping into him. ARGH. Kanan lied there, panting as he let the pain ease. Suddenly his com buzzed and he answered it to hear the buzz of Chopper speaking. "Chopper, follow this coordinates and pick me up" Kanan said into the small device. A series of buzz's followed as Chopper exclaimed what was happening. "What!? Maul's heading up there? Hurry up, we have to help Ahsoka and Ezra" worry started to flow through him.
Darth Vader's POV
He couldn't believe it was her. Ahsoka Tano. She stood right before him insisting that she knew who he was but she didn't know anything, she only knew the old him, the him we wanted to forget so bad, the him that had destroyed the Jedi, the him that killed his wife and lost his best friend, the him that had let her go to easily.
Ahsoka's POV
"I am no Jedi"
Ahsoka then activated her white glowing lightsaber and stood in a ready position, Vader did the exact same. She decided to make her move first and rushed straight at him and had clearly caught him off guard, she whirled her lightsabers in furry and pushed in at every opening she found. She finally got his chance when he swung up to high and she used all her strength to use the force and push him almost outside the temple and onto the terrace. She jumped right at him and hoped to land right on his head but the Sith Lord looked up in time to block her attack and she fell to the ground. Ahsoka then turned around to block Vader's swing and they locked their lightsabers against one another. Vader was clearly the stronger of the 2 and was pushing her down further and further, Ahsoka pushed right back and got him to get off of her. She then started doing back flips to avoid his attacks as he moved closer and closer to her. The 2 then entered a clash of sabers as they both attacked and blocked and before they knew it, they had moved to outside the temple.
Maul's POV
Maul ran quickly up the steps not wanting to miss his chance to take revenge against Vader and Ahsoka bit as he reached the top he was surprised to see that Vader and Ahsoka were already locked in combat. As the saying goes, kill 2 lothcats with one stone Maul thought as he made his way to the 2 fighting.
Ahsoka's POV
"Let your hatred fill you." That was a saying the Sith had used for thousands of generations and Ahsoka knew that Vader was doing that now, he had clearly been enraged by her actions inside the temple and was using his hate to fuel his strength. Before she had been the one attacking but now she was dodging all the attacks and was lucky if she could even see an opening. As Vader pushed her sabers off of his own, he came swinging down on her and she had to quickly swing her lightsabers down to block them. They both stayed like tart for a moment until she felt a presences behind her. All of a sudden, Vader picked her up with the force and threw her over his head and onto the ground as he blocked a red double bladed lightsaber. As the lightsaber returned to its owner, both Vader and Ahsoka realised who it was, "Maul" they both said. "Surprised?" He snarled at them both, "hardly" Vader said.
Maul's POV
"Surrender now and I promise you a quick and painless death" Vader said keeping his eyes on Maul but his lightsaber pointed at Ahsoka. "No it is YOU who will have the quick death" Maul said charging at Vader. As Maul ran towards the man in the machine, Vader simply moved to the left which lead Maul to clash lightsaber with Ahsoka.
The 3 of the them were constantly jumping over one another as they headed for their target. After what felt like ages they all charged as a 3 and locked lightsabers with each other. "It'd be easier if you both gave up now!" Maul barked. "Not a chance" Ahsoka said looking tired. "Never" Vader simply replied. Vader got the upper hand as he pushed the 2 off, force pushed Ahsoka off the terrace and grabbed Maul by the throat and threw him so far that he hit the electricity surrounding the holocron.
Darth Vader's POV
As Vader threw Maul into the electricity he remembered about the holocron and made his way to it only to find that the boy and his master had it and were heading to there ship. Annoyed at all the distractions, Vader force grabbed them and started pulling them to him but to his annoyance, they were resisting it but it wouldn't be long before they gave up. Suddenly Vader felt a presence coming at him, through his mechanical eyes he saw Maul still passed out on the ground and realised that it must be Ahsoka. He turned around and to his surprise, she was right in front of him. He quickly swung his lightsaber at her but she used on her own to block the attack, stepped up on his knees which made him fall over and swiped at his mask.
Ahsoka's POV
Ahsoka fell to the ground. Weak and tired from her encounter with Vader and from the day as a whole, she lied there trying to catch her breath when she heard Ezra's voice calling her. She started to slowly get up when she heard something,
"Ahsoka"
Anakin. She spun around to see Vader looking down and then his face rose and she saw part of his mask cut off which revealed the face she knew all to well, the face of her former master, her mentor, her best friend.
"Ahsoka"
"Anakin"
They both stood staring at each other not knowing what to do. Suddenly it hit her, Anakin was alive, he had just been consumed by the darkness, something really had happened after she last saw him...and she couldn't help but feel responsible, if she had been there, could she have helped him?
"I won't leave you...not this time"
He stared at her, his orange-yellow eye glaring at her. Maybe he's back she thought, but then he spoke
"Then you will die!" He said activating his lightsaber
Ahsoka stood there not afraid of him, she knew that whatever happened next, wasn't his fault and she was going to help him one way or another. She heard Ezra call for her but she forced push him back as the temple walls closed in. Suddenly, Maul leaped on top of Vader and cut across his arm and almost cut it off. "NO" Ahsoka screamed as she charged at Maul.
That was the last thing she remembered as the temple rumbled and exploded.
Alright, there we go. So Kanan isn't blind, we had an Ahsoka vs Maul vs Vader and Maul is now in the temple as it explodes. And that is the longest chapter I have ever written. It was almost 1600 words. Now, I won't update for a few days because I've been requested by some people to finish a few chapters of The Dark Side Games. So after that I'll come back to this which will only take a few days.
