Part 6
The Shadow of the First Man
The Heavens trembled at the weight of Apollyon's voice as he stood before the High Council, his wings, shimmering like molten gold, fluttering slightly with the strain. He masqueraded as Adam, the first man whose sacrifice once halted a war, and now his lie had to save the world again. His eyes, cold and calculating, swept across the faces of the angels gathered around.
"Behold," his voice cracked like thunder, and Uriel's sphere flared to life, displaying an image of Earth. On the screen, Lilith and Lucifer stood surrounded by demons, their shadows crawling across the land like living things. Demons unseen by angels, amplified by empowered sinners after their deaths, their power growing with each passing day.
"They are preparing for a new war," Apollyon continued, his voice laced with fury. "We must ignite chaos in Hell, so they cannot threaten either Earth or Heaven."
Michael, the angel of the sword, stepped forward, his eyes burning with fire. "And how do you propose we do that?" his voice was sharp as a blade.
Apollyon smiled, and there was something sinister in his smile. "We exploit their weaknesses. Betrayal, greed, lust—all that makes them vulnerable. We begin with the Primal Circles, where their power is at its weakest."
At that moment, Raphael emerged from the shadows, his face serene, but a storm brewing in his eyes. "And if they realize it's us?" he asked.
"They won't," Apollyon replied confidently. "We will act from the shadows, as they do."
The Council fell silent, pondering Apollyon's words. Heaven was preparing for a new war, and every angel understood that the price of victory would be steep.
And on Earth, in the darkness, Lilith turned to Lucifer, her lips curving into a smile. "They think they can stop us," she whispered, her voice like a promise.
"Let them try," Lucifer replied, his eyes burning with hellish fire.
A new game began between Heaven and Hell, and the stake was the fate of the entire world.
Around the sphere, shadows thickened, and among them flickered a silhouette—not a demon, not an angel… something else entirely.
