Back to Cuphead, Mugman, Y/N and the crowd at Carn-Evil.
- Cuphead, maybe you should quit while you're ahead. – Mugman was trying to tell his brother, but Cuphead's answer was obvious:
- Double down!
He threw the ball, it bounced off of the machine and The Elephant's bottom into the winners hole.
The Incidentals started to cheer
- Thank you! – Cuphead loved the fact he's getting the attention from the Inkwell Isles' citizens
- If you won't stop right now, Cuphead – Y/N started – we will be- - he couldn't finish
Why?
Because The Devil appeared, his appearance made the sky fully dark
- The Devil! – The Elephant pointed at him, after what he screamed in fear and, as he was fleeing, the other citizens, who didn't lose their souls, did the same
- My fans. – The Devil wasn't paying attention to them - They love me.
Y/N knew there's no escape now
The Devil walked up to him Cuphead and Mugman.
Mugman, like Y/N, noticed the Devil and now was scared, couldn't even move
- Hello.
At first Mugman was stuttering, but then found strength to say brother's name:
- Cup... Cuphead!
But in the process, he patted Cuphead's head good enough for the latter to accidentally toss the ball into the loser hole
- Watch it!
- LOSER! – the Machine said and it was easy to say, that Cuphead lost
- Aw, heck. – Cuphead was angry now - Now look at what you made me do!
- You seriously are still thinking about the fact you lost, when there's THE DEVIL IN FRONT OF US?!? – Y/N asked him with anger
Mugman pointed at The Devil, confirming Y/N's words, and Cuphead started to stutter
- And that's game~
The machine sucked Cuphead's soul into the Winner's hole, but Mugman ran up to the machine, pulled out Cuphead's soul, and patted it back in.
Cuphead inhaled heavily and exclaimed:
- RUN!!!
Cuphead and Mugman started run for it.
- Ooh, I love it when they run. – the Devil said with a smile
- There's no way you'll get Cuphead's soul – Y/N told him with serious look on his face – You'll fail. Like how you failed, before sending me here, to the Inkwell Isles
Y/N was happy the brothers can't hear him, they already were on the good distance from the Devil, believing they lost him
- We'll see about that – the Devil answered back – You owe me a Soul yourself, if to be reminded – he was ready to get the young man's soul, but Y/N was ready
He grabbed the Devil's hand and the latter was shocked
- Yowch! – he exclaimed in pain
Y/N showed him the mini stun gun for handshakesъ
- What was that? I owe you a Soul? – the young man asked the Devil – Not happening
- Don't think you can escape from me so easily! – the Devil said back to him - Your and that Cup's Souls belong to me!
Instead of continuing to talk, it was a waste of time, Y/N grabbed his pitchfork and fired at the Soul Ball Machine, freeing the Souls, that were caught so far by the Devil
He was shocked
- You... - the Devil couldn't find the words – WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?!
- Catch me, us, if you can! – Y/N, along with Cuphead and Mugman, left the Carn-Evil
Or better say, they ran away
- You don't just get to run away! – the Devil exclaimed, but the Main Trio already was far enough to hear him
Henchman flew over and said:
- Wow, boss. I never saw you let no one escape before.
The Devil answered to him with anger:
- They didn't escape! One of them played the game. And lost. Their souls belong to me. – he pointed at himself - I'll get those Human and cup...
- Head?
The Devil whacked Henchman on the head with his pitchfork.
- Oh, shut up.
He then started to think hard
- "Getting Human's soul will not be easy... I believed getting his and that Cup's soul will be as easy as stealing a candy from a baby... Who could think I'll be wrong?"

Elder Kettle's house...
The Main Trio was fixing the fence
- What an amazing day. – Cuphead was acting like nothing bad happened - We rode rides.
- You call it amazing?! – Y/N asked him with anger – You, to your information, could lose your soul!
- You owe the Devil your soul. – Mugman added, confirming Y/N's words
- We played games. – but of course, Cuphead was ignoring them
- And you owe the Devil your soul. – Mugman repeated
- We're even almost finished with this dumb fence!
- You're not even listening! – the young man yelled at Cuphead
- And you owe the Devil your soul! – Mugman did the same
- Eh. I ain't too worried about it. - Cuphead attempted to use the cannon again to paint the fence for the second time.
Elder Kettle, it's the second time, once again prepared to walk through the fence with a similar line:
- Hey, boys, how-
The cannon exploded all over Elder Kettle and the fence again
- Still too much gunpowder. – Cuphead said, he looked disappointed
- And you still owe the Devil your soul. – once again, Mugman repeated
- "Something tells me" – Y/N told himself – "Life here on Inkwell Isles won't be full of boredom"
