Chapter 3 - Carn-Evil (2/???)
In the front yard, Cuphead, Mugman and Y/N were painting the fence.
Cuphead even groaned in boredom.
- Jeez... – Mugman said with a sigh - I guess we know what we're doing the rest of the day, huh?
His brother was annoyed
No, not annoyed
- Oh, banana oil! – he was throwing paint around while talking - "Paint the fence, milk the goat, patch the roof...!" It's the same old stuff every day! What we need is a little fun and adventure.
- Come on, Cuphead – Y/N told him – This can't be that bad.
Mugman added, while paint, that Cuphead threw at him, was on his face:
- If we could only speed things up, maybe we'd still have time to squeeze in a little fun and adventure at the end.
- Uh... Mugman, you just gave Cuphead an idea... - Y/N told him and Mugman stopped painting with a "Huh?"
- Way ahead of you, pal. – Cuphead said, offscreen – Y/N, watch it, too! – he prepared a Cannon, the actual one, and putted all the paint inside of it, when pointed the "weapon" at the fence and... "closed" his "ears"
- Cuphead, you don't have ears – Y/N told him – Same with Mugman and Elder Kettle
Only Y/N said the Elder Kettle's name. said Character was opening the door, that was part of the fence, asking:
- Hey, boys! How's that fen--
The cannon exploded all over Elder Kettle and the fence, destroying the fence in the process.

Cuphead, Mugman and Y/N were walking to the store to buy more supplies to fix the fence.
The store, Y/N had a big feeling, is owned by Porkrind
He's an anthropomorphic Pig, who has light orange skin and a black moustache between the nose and mouth.
He wears an eyepatch over his right eye, indicating that something either caused him to lose that eye or his right eye has an astigmatism.
His outfit consists of a grey short-sleeved short and a brown dungaree.
Also, Y/N knows it, It is unknown what shoes Porkrind wears in the game, so it's a good question what kind of shoes the merchant is wearing
Cuphead, while the trio was walking, had his hands in his pockets.
- Boy, was he steamed. – Mugman said, remembering how Elder Kettle looked, after he was covered in paint, plus the fence was destroyed
- Was using the Canon necessary? – Y/N added, asking Cuphead
- Eh. I ain't too worried about it. – was the answer from Cuphead, then said this, getting his hands out of his pockets, caressing his chin and starting to talk in a think tone - You know, that should have worked. If only I used a little less gunpowder... Hmm... – then shrugged and started to talk normally - Oh, well!
Porkrind's Emporium
The brothers and human reached the door of Porkrind's Emporium
- Eh... let's just focus on getting more paint. – Mugman wanted to end it as quickly as possible - And try not to get distracted.
- Agreed – Y/N nodded his head – The last thing we need is- - he couldn't finish, cause Cuphead:
- Mugman! Y/N! Look!
Cuphead's attention was on a Carnival
Y/N had a very bad feeling about this
When it comes to Carnivals in Cuphead's World, you need to expect The Devil's appearance
- Um, Cuphead, I'm not so sure... – Mugman started to tell his brother
- Cuphead, it's a bad idea! – Y/N added, he was with Mugman on this – What if we'll encounter The Devil?
Not too long ago, Y/N got information from Elder Kettle on how The Devil looks like
He looks different, if not too different, from his Game Version:
His looks remain more or less the same, with only a few stylistic changes.
In addition to now always shown as having a tail, his nose has gained a red flush along with having longer yellow horns instead of white horns, and the red irises he is only occasionally depicted with in-game are now a permanent part of his design.
His fur is softer and less scruffy and has also gained a slight blue tint.
Two more notable differences from his in-game counterpart are that he shows a bit of fat with wide hips and his ears are a bit longer and spikier.
Cuphead answered to Mugman and Y/N with a smile:
- You know what I do when I'm not so sure? I double down!
These words caused his brother and human to become lost for a moment
- ...What does that even mean? – Mugman asked him
- Do you understand yourself, what just said? – Y/N added with his own question
- It means we're going to that carnival! – Cuphead told them
Mugman and Y/N immediately started to tell him:
- Absolutely not! There's no way we're go...
- Not a chance! We're not go...
Carn-Evil
But of course, they just had to go the carnival.
Y/N was interested, but tried to avoid the Games, the fun, and even the fact it all can be The Devil's trap for poor citizens of the Inkwell Isles to get their souls
Meanwhile, Cuphead and Mugman continuously were riding carnival rides as well as eating snacks, topping it off with having to throw up in a trash can
