Chapter 2 - Carn-Evil (1/???)
Ever since Y/N started to live with Cuphead, Mugman and Elder Kettle, days on Inkwell Isles looked normal
Like back on Earth, where he "lived"
But today was the day, when Y/N, Cuphead and Mugman, thanks to Cuphead himself, started to have their first problems
Morning...
The day started with Elder Kettle making breakfast
What was funny enough, was the fact he was using the actual kettle, that had pancake mix inside it
That's not how Humans back on Earth were making pancakes, Y/N knew it, cause has experience in making them for breakfast
Elder Kettle poured the mix into a grill, making a sizzling noise at the same time.
He flipped the already cooked pancakes, and threw them behind him, except for the last one – it was thrown towards the brothers and the young man thanks to the whistling onto it.
Cuphead was reading a comic strip called "Adventure Comix".
He used his left leg to kick a plate that is next to him, grabbed it, and caught the pancakes Elder Kettle threw before.
He looked away from the comic strip he was reading, to look at the pancakes with a happy expression.
His brother, Mugman, wasn't so lucky: he rose his plate too high, making his pancakes hit the wall, then falling onto the floor. He sighed and made a sad expression.
And Y/N, he was able to catch his pancakes, after what offered them to Mugman, but not before cutting half of them
And Cuphead, he offered syrup to his brother, after putting it on his own pancakes
Y/N chose to eat his pancakes' remains without syrup
Mugman tried to put the syrup on his pancakes, but for some reason, nothing came out, only a fart noise was heard
A/N – L-logic.
He gave his brother a bothered expression, but Cuphead ignored said look and, with smile on his face, ate his pancakes completely, his face covered with syrup
Y/N could tell the way Cuphead and Mugman, plus Elder Kettle, are acting, is different from the Game
And...
Maybe it's good?
That it is normal to see your favorite Сharacters have differences?
- Cuphead! Mugman! Y/N! – that's when Elder Kettle said their names
-Yes, Elder Kettle? – the three asked together in unison, brothers were smiling
- Today, you three are in for a real treat! – Elder Kettle told them, he was smiling with them
But Y/N started to believe this treat won't be what brothers are expecting, even if they actually are
He was silent, while the brothers asked, they had a surprised expression and voice tone:
- Really?!
- You get to... – Elder Kettle pulled out two buckets of white paint - ...paint the fence! Y/N, yours is already at the door – he pointed at the third bucket
The result was: Cuphead and Mugman's enthusiasm completely faded away, leaving them with a bored and stressed expression. A cup crack could be heard.
- "Figures" – Y/N in his mind/head – "Some things never change, even if it's a different World/Universe. And... Is it just me or a cup crack really was heard?"
