The flight went by quickly and before we knew it the fight attendant announced that we were landing.
We got our luggage and I had to go get Burnie.
I put his leash on and made my way to the airport.
Jaiden and Brendon were waiting for me at the entrance.
Jaiden was talking on the phone to her mom, "We're over by the entrance. Where are you?",she spoke to her mom.
Her mom spoke for a few seconds.
"Oh okay we will head over there",Jaiden said.
We followed her though the crowded air port all the way to her mom.
Jaidens mom squealed when she saw us.
"My babies",she said running over to Brendon and Jaiden hugging them tightly.
She stood up and made her way over to me, "Awe look at you, you're so handsome",she said squeezing my cheek as if I was a child.
I chuckled, "It's good to see you too Mary".
"Well let's go to the car, and on our way to the lake you guys can tell me all about LA",she said excitedly.
~skip car ride~
"Well kids here we are",she smiled.
Jaidens cousin Ashton was already setting up tents.
Ashton is 19, him and I have never really gotten along. He absolutely hates me but I was never sure why.
I climbed out of the car walking up to him, "Need help?".
He froze at the sound of my voice, "Wow I can't believe you actually came".
"I wouldn't miss it".
"Well I mean I know that you just filmed a movie. I figured you'd be 'too good' to come here",he said sarcastically.
I shrugged, "Here I am".
He threw a tent at my chest, "Go set that one up,Hollywood".
I rolled my eyes, "My names Matt".
"Whatever",he mumbled.
I chuckled at his attitude before walking off to find a spot to set up the tent.
Jaiden pranced over to me, "Is Ashton already giving you a hard time?".
I shrugged, "Yeah but it's cool, I'm used to it".
Jaiden pulled the instructions out of the bag the tent was in.
"We don't need those",I said taking them from her hand.
"You said that last year and it fell down in the middle of the night",she stated snatching them back.
"Good point",I laughed.
After an hour of fighting with the tent we had finally set it up.
Ashton and Brendon's tent was done forever ago because Ashton was good at it.
I laid on the ground exhausted and stressed.
Ashton came and crouched down next to me, "Welcome to Texas".
I rolled my eyes and sat up, "I really don't like you".
"Feelings mutual",he said walking off.
I turned to Jaiden, "Would you be mad if I fought your cousin?".
She chuckled, "Matt, I know he's annoying but don't let it ruin this week".
I sighed, "I won't".
I started standing up, but of course my foot had to catch the gravel and I fell right back on my butt.
But even worse I grabbed Jai in the process of it bringing her down with me.
I felt so bad, I was expecting her to get mad at me but instead she started laughing.
"I'm so sorry, are you okay?",I said now lightly laughing also.
"Yeah I'm fine",she said flashing me her beautiful smile.
Neither of us moved.
Neither of us said anything.
We were just sitting there staring at each other.
I was praying this would be like the movies where the girl realizes she had been in love with the guy the whole time.
But instead she punched my arm lightly, "You're such a klutz".
The arm punch, really?That's literally the biggest sign that I just got friend zone.
I guess life isn't like a movie.
