Episode 12
You awoke from the darkness completely drained. Exhausted, you looked around to find yourself still strapped to the chair and Kylo Ren crouching in the corner, shaking, his back facing you. The walls of the room were glowing dimly with fresh cuts made by a lightsaber. The melted, snaking paths in the walls were almost beautiful, even if they were spawned from fury.
What struck you most about this scene was that it was identical to the first dream you'd had about him.
"Why did it have to be her," you heard Kylo whisper suddenly, before he stood and stormed out of the room. You sat silently for a moment before you looked down at the chair. You could probably use the force to escape the room, but you had no idea where you would go after that. You closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and felt the clasps that kept you on the chair release. You rubbed your wrist, noticing the red marks where the restraints had been.
Standing up quickly, your vision went fuzzy and dark and you got dizzy. You stumbled, then stepped back, as your vision gradually returned. You hobbled towards the door, determined to work through your unimaginable fatigue.
You staggered and reached your (non dominant) hand out towards the wall to catch yourself, only to grab an area that was still sweltering and melting from the lightsaber gashes. You felt a searing pain and smelled your skin burning. Yelping, you drew your hand back quickly and held it close to your body, feeling the burns already forming.
You used the force to push the door open, causing agonizing pain to shoot through your skull. You squinted your eyes because it felt as if the hall light seared your eyes. After stumbling out of the room you nearly collapsed from exhaustion, and you were thankful that no one was there to see that.
Suddenly, you felt something beckoning you. You closed your eyes and stepped along the path that you felt was right. It was as if someone was pulling you along, trying to show you something. You took so many turns that you lost count, but you still felt an urgent need to scurry blindly towards whatever you were being led to.
You halted, eyes still closed. The feeling of being led somewhere was gone. You slowly opened your eyes to see an enormous set of doors. You put your ear against the cold metal and closed your eyes, tuning into the force and listening through to the other side.
Kylo Ren, if you don't calm yourself I will personally make certain that you lose more than that harpy of a wench.
You heard a low growl come from Kylo Ren and felt his fury, but he was trying to contain his rage.
"Supreme Leader, if it is true that you don't want her near me, then why is she here at all?"
Hux received word that she will be important somehow. As long as you now know of her presence, you will train her in the ways of the dark side.
"No."
You were shocked at the defiance in his voice.
Excuse me?
"I only joined you to keep (Y/n) away from you and out of this war. I'm afraid that I cannot bring her into this."
She's just a girl, and one that you haven't spoken with in ten years. You will obey me, or I will dispose of that scum so that she cannot interfere with our cause. Do you understand me?
"I understand, but I've been loyal to you for ten years to keep her safe. Can't-"
Kylo's voice was cut off by the sound of gagging. Feeling his pain, you burst through the doors and weakly made your way towards him. Your physical strength was completely depleted, but you held your hand up and managed to cut off this man's force choke on Kylo, causing him to fall to the ground. You held your hand up to the blue hologram of a man sitting upon a gigantic throne. Even though you saw your fingers shaking, a rush of adrenaline kept you powerful. He was trying to pull your limbs off, but you were not going to let this giant, hideous monster hurt you or Kylo. Now that you knew that he had thrown his life away to keep you safe, you were more inclined to help him.
"Greetings, Supreme Leader, fantastic to finally see you. May I say that you look even more horrendously evil than I expected?" Your voice was obviously shaking, even through the mask, but you felt Kylo smile I'm agreement with your overly cocky words.
I thought that I warned you about eavesdropping.
"Well, I thought that for someone who is supposed to be powerful, that for an untrained, completely weakened girl like me it would be more difficult to stop you."
What did you wish to say, harpy?
"If you even think about hurting Kylo Ren ever again, I will 'interfere' until I take my last breath. If you think that you can hide behind a hologram, you are wrong. You touch him, I will hunt you down. You harm him, I will tear you to pieces."
Do you see now, Kylo? She has plenty of darkness within her. Are you sure that you won't train her?
"Positive." Kylo had stood up and walked to stand behind you, which made you more terrified than the over inflated mole rat of a man sitting in front of you.
I'll give you one week to decide. You know perfectly well what punishments await you if you choose to disobey me. Now, the harpy is about to collapse, so I suggest you keep her from using any more of her power.
He was right. Your head was spinning and your body was shaking violently. You felt Kylo force his way into your mind, which wasn't difficult in your weakened state, and cut off your power. You instantly fell, and he reached his arms out and caught you. Kylo carried you out of that room as fast as he could, but before he used the force to close the massive doors, you were able to look back and see the Supreme Leader smirk, before his image dispersed, leaving an empty throne.
You were dizzy, too nauseous to speak. You heard a door slide open quickly and Kylo rushed you inside a dark room and laid you down on a bed and kneeled beside you. Your vision was still spinning, but when you looked up, you were still able to see his unmasked face, streaked with drying tears.
"Why didn't you wait outside the doors? I wanted you to hear that, but you shouldn't have put yourself in danger. I was fine on my own," Kylo whispered, reaching out to caress your face.
You moved away from his hand instinctively, and Kylo let his hand fall onto the bed next to you.
"Of course you were fine, I know how strong you are. You forget who trained me. He just needs to know that I'm not simply some harpy, as he put it. He needs to remember that you saved my life by joining him, so I still owe you mine," you said with a trembling voice.
Tears were streaming down his face, but instead of speaking, Kylo got up, put on his mask, and left you alone in the unfamiliar room.
