They were all lounging in the kitchen with Olivia munching on spinach and Owen texting with a cheesed look on his face. He was basically glowing with joy once he looked at his phone.
They noticed and raised their eyebrow.
"Who's that?" Odette questioned, knowing that everyone was about to ask anyway. She was leaning against the counter with a new book she was reading.
He ignored her question as if he didn't even hear it, his attention was on his phone.
"Owen, all McDonald's are closing down and you will never taste the goodness of their fries ever again." Olivia budded in, hoping it would give them a reaction.
He remained undivided to his phone until he looked up at them a couple of moments later. "What did you say?"
They gasped quietly.
"Did he just-" Odette gaped.
"Who on earth is he talking to?" Olivia questioned just as stunned as everyone else.
"Must be special."
Elliot slowly made his way towards Owen who went back to texting and snatched the phone away from his hands.
Owen jumped onto Elliot. "Give it back!"
Elliot hunched over, trying to cover the phone while Owen continued to reach for it.
"Elliot! Give it back!" He shouted with annoyance.
He giggled evilly and looked at the contact name and with that he stopped with a dust surprised look on his face. "No way."
They all looked at him, waiting for the name.
"You dig Noelle?" Elliot questioned Owen once he looked at him.
Olivia's eyes grew wide. "You're dating her? Why don't I know about this?" She angrily asked as she got up. "I should be the first to know."
Owen groaned, covering his face.
"When did this start?" Odette asked, shocked as well.
"This is why I didn't want to tell you guys." Owen told them, removing his hands from his face. "You guys make big deals out of anything."
"Excuse me." Olivia placed a hand on her chest and looked at him with sass. "Are you saying dating Noelle is not a big deal?"
He hesitated. "No-no-I didn't meant it like that. She is a big deal and-"
Elliot wiggled his eyebrows and threw an arm over Owen's shoulder. "You dig Noelle?" He asked again but in more teasing tone.
Owen rolled his eyes and sighed. "Yeah I do."
Odette jumped up and squealed. "My dork of a brother finally has a girlfriend!"
He glared at his older sister.
Olivia pouted. "Why didn't she tell me that my dumb big brother is her boyfriend?"
Elliot laughed lightly and moved his way towards Olivia, helping her sit back down. "I'm sure they were going to tell you soon."
"I'm not her boyfriend." He clarified. "Yet."
"Wait, to be sure though. It's Noelle right?" Odette cocked an eyebrow in pure confusion.
Owen nodded.
"A girl like her likes a guy like you? Doesn't she know that you still sleep with a stuffed animal?"
He scoffed. "She thinks it's cute."
Olivia rolled eyes in disgust. "Just don't kiss in front of me, I don't want to vomit."
"I'm not making any promises." He shrugged nonchalantly.
She grabbed a piece of spinach from her bowl and chucked it at Owen.
He frowned at the spinach that was on the floor. "You and Elliot basically made out at the family party! Plus there were kids there and I was there, we all had to dread those 10 seconds."
Olivia scowled at him but her cheeks became red just the thinking of that moment. "We were forced!"
He laughed dramatically. "It didn't look like it was forced." With that he turned around and mimicked kissing by hugging himself while making loud noises.
Olivia rolled her eyes and tossed another leaf of spinach at him. "You're seriously an eight year old."
Odette and Elliot were giggling while they watched them bicker.
Owen continued while Olivia kept throwing.
"What is going on in here?" Mark bellowed as he stood at the kitchen doorway.
Owen and Olivia immediately stopped and smiled nervously at their father who looked both tired and angry.
