Matt(pt.2)
We walked into the graveyard.
I guided Matt through all of the tombstones until we reached my moms. The name read "Melissa Anderson-Purvis".
"How did she die?" Matt asked me
"She overdosed. She overdosed while I was asleep." I said crying a little
"I'm so sorry baby!" Matt said holding me and crying a little.
"I love you mom, I'm sorry I wasn't able to spend yet another Mother's Day with you but I brought my boyfriend Matt, who I always tell you about." I said laughing a little
"Can I talk to her, babe?" Matt asked me
"Of course!" I said.
We both sat down in front of her stone as Matt began to talk.
"You're daughter is an amazing girl, even if you never did like her she is truly amazing. She raised herself and you even though I didn't know someone could do that, she comes and talks to you everyday even after all of the terrible things you've done to her. One day I'm going to marry her and I wanted to know if you're okay with that, Ik sorry we never got the chance to meet. I did bring you something though, I hope you like it." He said grabbing an old picture of me and my mom out of his pocket and laying it by her tombstone.
I was now hysterically crying, he just hugged me as we stood up.
"I love you mom, I will see you tomorrow." I said wiping my tears
"We will see you tomorrow." Matt said.
Everyday we walked to cemetery wether it was after school, one the weekends or just because we were bored. We talked to my mom for hours at a time.
*2 years pass*
Matthew and I had walked to the graveyard like we did everyday, this time was different. He had something in his pocket but I didn't know what, he was hiding something.
"I want your mom to see" he said as we got to the enter and of the graveyard.
We reached her stone and he got down on one knee.
I was confused so I said "Matthew stand up"
"Babe, we've been together for a few years now and I was wondering if you would marry me?" He said pulling out a gorgeous diamond ring.
I hugged him while crying and saying "yes, Matthew, yes"
"I wanted your mom to see her baby get proposed to." He said crying a little bit.
"Matt, I love you so much." I said giggling while crying
"Y/n, I love you so much too." He said doing the same
I love this boy.
My mom loves this boy.
