Chapter 9 - Baby Bottle (4/???)
All three were outside, looking for Baby Bottle
Unlike Cuphead and Mugman, Y/N was looking for it to get rid of it
He didn't liked the fact Baby was chosen to be taken care of by showintit love, how Mugman was saying
No, maybe there exist babies, children, who are acting normal and do what they're told to, but in case of Baby Bottle...
- Where'd he go?! - Cuphead asked, he was looking like he was panicking
Oh, wait!
He WAS panicking!
- How should I know?! - Mugman asked him, he had the same reaction on his face as Cuphead
- Stop panicking and- - Y/N couldn't finish
Why?
A blowing raspberry was heard behind them
They turned to find the baby sitting at the doorway, much to their relief
Or better say, the relief of brothers
They sighed in said relief and said in unison:
- There you are.
Y/N started to go towards the baby, but...
The baby, jot wasting time, slammed the door shut, locking it as well
What Baby Bottle did, shocked the brothers
And Y/N?
- Why you little troublemaker!
- Open up, baby! Open the door! - Cuphead and Mugman started to ask him in unison, but no answer from baby
-Mugman, you gotta listen to me. - Cuphead started to tell his brother - Y/N was right! We made a mistake chosing to take care of baby! Not to mention there's obviously something wrong with that baby, we gotta get rid of it!
- Not a chance, Cuphead! - but his brother wasn't planning to give up - Baby needs our love!
- What it needs is a LEASH! - Y/N said with serious tone
- I second that! - Cuphead agreed with friend
- Cuphead! Y/N! - Mugman couldn't believe in what he was hearing - The way you're talking, it's like you never even wanted a baby!
- I DIDN'T! - was the answer from Cuphead
- And as for me - Y/N added - If I'll have a baby, a child, my own, I'll make sure he/she won't be acting like Baby Bottle, who's doing unknown what inside!
These words from Cuphead and Y/N caused Mugman to gasp and feel seemingly hurt
- Oh, well then. - he started to sniffle - Guess I'll do all the parenting myself!
- Be our guest! Hmph! - Cuphead answered back and crossed his hands
- Mugman, you're making big mistake, protecting the baby - Y/N told Mugman
But the latter wasn't listening and knocked on door
- Baby! Would you be a darling and open the door for Mama?
That's when all three heard the radio go on and off, much to their dismay
Cuphead and Mugman (in unison): ELDER KETTLE'S RADIO!/Y/N: The Radio! We're doomed if anything will happen to it!
Not wasting time, they broke the door open and found the baby rocking the radio around, playing with the channels, and - quite literally - beating it up.
- Okay, I confirm this baby is the worst baby I ever met! - Y/N said, but not to brothers, but to himself
Mugman ran and grabbed Baby Bottle to make sure nothing else happened and said:
- No! Bad baby! Bad!
But what happened next...
The baby's face turned a bright red as it formed an angered expression, letting out an onimous...:
- Mama...
Of course, Cuphead and Y/N noticed it
- Uhh... - Cuphead tried to find the right words, he didn't knew how to react - I don't like that crazy glint in its eye.
- You're not the only one - Y/N said back
- Oh, nonsense, you two. - Mygman wasn't losing hope, he set the baby down beside him, patting its head
- But-! - Cuphead started
- Mugman, you- - Y/N joined him, but Mugman stopped them again
- Calm down. - Mugman patted his brother's and friend on the edge of his cup and head, then chose to back out of the living room], while saying - Wait right there.
Y/N, Cuphead and Baby Bottle exchanged a confused look with eachother, or better say, obly Cuphead and Baby Bottle, cause Y/N was glaring at baby with anger, before Mugman came back, with a teddy bear in hand
- I've had this bear since I was a tiny baby, it means the world to me. - Mugman kisses it, after what wind it up] - It was always there to cheer me up. And now, it'll be there for you.
He gave the teddy bwar toy to Baby Bottle
- Mugman... - Y/N told him - Giving the teddy bear was your biggest mistake...
But Mugman wasn't listening, watching how his toy brgan to play a song
The baby became endeared to it
Mugman was having tears in his eyes, he looked at the scene with happiness ...
And this happiness wasn't lasting long, cause what Baby Bottle did....
While smiling, he pulled teddy bear's head off, while looking at Mugman
- "R.I.P. for teddy bear...." - Y/N said in his head
Yes, babies back then, while he was taking care of them, were doing the same thing with their toys
How many toys were broken...
At first Mugman gasped, was shocked, but then becsme furious
- I'M GONNA KILL THAT THING!
It was easy to tell he wasn't seeing Baby Bottle the same way as some time ago, when they were asked by unknown people to take care of him
