Chapter 3
"Come on come come on..."
I watched the tv intently as the black and white jerseys hit each other with an extreme amount of force. The action was just as good on the TV as it would have been if we had been there at the actual game.
"Ha ha!" I shouted.
"Oi not so loud," Levi said sternly.
"Sorry," I said.
I looked back at the tv and saw Carolina ready to kick the field goal.
"Ok so they will have 7 points. Fine fine but we are still ahead," I said.
"Just pay attention to the damn game brat."
I looked at the tv again just in time to see the field goal be kicked. I was thinking 'fine. You guys can have 7 points'. The football was going and going and I thought it was going to go through. But, it didn't. It bounced off of the pole and went spiraling off in another direction. I stood up and started waving my arms from side to side.
"YES!" I yelled ," INCOMPLETE!!!!!"
"Nice job," Levi said ," now I'm deaf."
"Oh come on Levi," I say ," have a little fun. It's the Super Bowl. Our first together."
"Point taken."
I sat back down on the couch and continued to watch the game. We watched all the stupid commercials and the half time show which in my opinion wasn't really that necessary. But when the second half started, I was happy.
"Alright. We are winning and it's the beginning of the second half. Levi we are winning!"
"I know. I'm happy about it too."
"But your face says you don't care. Can you at least smile?"
Levi have a short grunt then looked up at me. And I got what I wanted. He gave me the biggest smile I've ever seen. I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"What do you think the others are doing?" I asked Levi.
"Probably watching the game. It's the freaking Super Bowl. I dare you to try and find someone who isn't watching it whether they are Panthers or Broncos fans or not. It's on pretty much everyone's tv."
"Yeah. I wonder who they all support."
"Well we don't need to care right now because we are Broncos fans and we are winning. That's all that matters."
"Well that's not entirely true Levi. There is something that matters more to me than football and the Super Bowl."
"Now what would that be?"
Now was the perfect time.
"Can you stand up please Levi?" I said.
"Why?"
"Just do it."
"Tch. Fine."
I watched Levi stand up.
"Levi I love you more than anything else in the entire world..."
I got down on one knee and took his hand. I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a small black box.
"...I love you so much and I want you to stay by my side forever so..."
I opened the box revealing the small diamond ring.
"Levi Ackerman...will you marry me?"
His face lit up so much. There wasn't a smile but there was surprise. He was beat red and I could see the internal debate he was having. But it wasn't a debate. He was just overcome by emotions.
His head was now giving a small nod. He nodded over and over again before he finally said...
"Yes."
I smiled and took the ring out of the box. I slipped it onto his finger then stood up. He jumped up into my arms and hugged me. I hugged him back and we stayed that way for a good 5 minutes.
"I love you so much Levi," I said.
"I love you too brat."
