Chapter 7

I'm grounded for a whole month. That means I'm not allowed to go anywhere but school and the library, although my dad has this brilliant idea of transforming one of the spare rooms into a library that way I won't have to leave the house at all. Fantastic. He might as well hire teachers to teach me at home, have me home school, so I won't have to leave at all. I will be trapped in this huge mansion like Rapunzel, but I won't have a charming prince to save me. And the ridiculously long hair.

My parents were very, very upset-no, they were furious with me when they found out I skipped school. They still are mad at me but not like when they first found out. It was the first time I ever saw them that mad. My dad had come home from work immediately after my mom told him and I had a very big surprise after I arrived. They were waiting for me and prepared with their lectures. I listened to them quietly and didn't try to explain myself or anything because that would of had only extended my punishment. And, I can't tell them I skipped school because Louis Tomlinson, the son of their biggest enemies, sort of kidnapped me but at the at end I agreed going along and spent the whole day with him.

My dad has taken my phone, laptop and iPod. The phone and iPod are held hostage just for two weeks though. It really upsets me that he took my phone because I finally got Louis' phone number and he said he'll text me. I was really looking forward it. The only people I text are girls and Marcus, and I was looking forward for a change. I'm terrified though, I'm terrified Louis will text me and my dad will see the text. I saved him as Louis, no last name obviously, but my dad is smart and can put up puzzles.

I stare at the ceiling of my room and let out a loud sigh. I'm really bored and want to listen to some music. Especially to the new songs that Louis has recommended me to listen. I really want to see him. He probably has sent me a text and is waiting for my reply but I will never know until I get my phone back. This is so frustrating, especially thinking about it so much.

I should of had known my school would call to my mom and tell her I have skipped. After all that's the first time I have ever not gone to school. I had a perfect attendance until yesterday. I don't care about that, because I'm happy I have skipped school and went with Louis. I am upset I got caught, though. I'm relieved to the fact they don't know I was with Louis because that would of had cost me my entire life. They didn't question the shirt I was holding, Louis' shirt, and I'm glad they didn't notice it. My punishment is not that bad after all.

My bedroom door opens and I raise my head to see Mary holding a tray with a bowl of fruit. She sets it on my bed and I thank her before going back to staring at the ceiling. I'm not so hungry. I rather go back to the lake with Louis, even the pub.

"Where should I put the young man's shirt?" My head shuts up and I look at her with my eyes wide opened. I gulp and she grins.

"Wh-what?" I stammer.

"Louis, I believe is his name." She innocently says and I sit up. I look at the white shirt in her hands and then look back up at her. I'm so getting grounded for the rest of my life and my after life.

"How do you know it's his?" I mumble and she sits on my bed, beside me.

"I won't tell your parents, don't worry." I let out a long sigh of relief and feel like the stone has been removed from my heart. "I know it's his because I saw you together." She says and I gasp.

"You did? When? How? What?" She chuckles.

"Breath Juliet, breath! Right after your mom left I went to get the mail and I saw you walking together, and he was wearing this shirt. My question is, dear, why do you have it in your possession?" She asks and I sheepishly smile. I can't believe how carefree we were that we didn't double check if anyone else was watching. Some neighbor could of had noticed us. Everybody knows about our families.

The reason I have Louis' shirt and I haven't returned it to him is blackmail and a promise. On our way home he kept teasing me about being a dork because I do nothing on Friday nights, so I told him he better shut it if he wants his shirt back. He didn't. But then he promised me an unforgettable Friday night. My assumptions are that he is going to take me watch him preform, being the cocky guy he is, he put it that way. He told me to keep the shirt until that Friday night.

"He told me to give it back to him some other day." I reply, leaving out the details. She doesn't need to know.

"He was walking around shirtless then?" She asks and I awkwardly chuckle.

"Uh, did you bring me some yogurt with fruit?" I change subject and she takes the hint, so she hands me the shirt and leaves my room, chuckling. I'm glad she finds this amusing.

I look at the bowl and it suddenly does look very appetizing. I take a piece of an apple and eat it. I happily eat when suddenly I hear a noise from outside, my window. I bite my lip as a smile tries to appear and get up from my bed to head to my window. Louis is looking up at me with a scowl and I furrow my brows.

"Can you come out?" He yells and I thank god for my parents not being home right now.

"Uh, I'm grounded." I reply and he laughs out loud making me glare at him.

"That's not funny." I groan and go back to my bed. Jerk. He is lucky he has finished school and is a "grown man" so he can't be grounded, but that doesn't give him a right to mock me.

I continue eating my fruits, annoyed, when suddenly I see a leg, then a full body enter my room from the window. I should of had closed the window. He smiles and sits on my bed. I stop eating and glare at him as I see him take my grapes. I slap his hand as he goes to take more and he chuckles.

"My parents are home." I lie.

"Liar. Their cars aren't here." He takes a strawberry.

"They sent it to-uh, repairing." I answer and he rolls his eyes. My dad has actually taken it to this place to have it cleaned and it hasn't returned yet.

"Why haven't you been answering my calls and texts?" He looks at me actually offended and I scrunch up my nose. I'm happy to know he did call and text. And I'm actually happy my dad took my phone because that made him come to my house, but I'm scared my parents will come home now, at this moment.

"I told you, I'm grounded. My dad has taken my phone." I tell him and he huffs.

"You are eighteen! You shouldn't get grounded." He laughs and I glare at him.

"Don't be such a jerk!" I cross my arms over my chest, while letting out a huff, and he frowns. He takes my hands from my chest and places them on my bed.

"I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at how messed up this is. This is ridiculous. I wouldn't ground my eighteen year old son or daughter." He still holds my hands and looks at me with a sincere look.

He pokes my nose as I'm scrunching it and eventually smile. "Try tell that to my parents." I say and he tilts his head to the side.

"If I come nearby one of them I'll be found dead under a bridge. As appealing as that sounds, I'm good." He says and I laugh.

"So, how was school today?" He asks after I stop laughing. I look at him puzzled and get up from my bed to take the tray to my desk but leave the bowl on my bed.

"You sound like my parents." I chuckle.

"Oh shit, that's the last thing I'll ever want to be." I shake my head and go back to bed.

I lay my back against the headboard with the bowl on my lap and Louis joins me, laying beside me.

"It was okay, you know how's College." I answer his question. "How was your day?" I ask.

"It was terrible. I kept texting and calling this girl who gave me her number so we could meet, and for a second I thought she gave me a fake one, but then I remember calling it to check it at first, so then I thought that she is ignoring me, but I just heard from her that she is eighteen and grounded. Now I'm feeling better because I'm with her." He looks at me and I feel my cheeks flush so I look at the fruits. I see a red apple and I'm pretty sure it resembles my cheeks.

"That's nice." I mutter.

"You look cute when you blush." I hear him say and feel my cheeks turn into a darker shade of red. "So, where did you want to go?" I ask referring to what he said earlier about wanting to meet up with me.

"At first to the park but then I really wanted to go back to my kingdom, the lake." He says and I laugh. I look up at him and see him eating my fruits.

I take the strawberry from his hand and eat it. He playfully glares at me and I stick my tongue at him, while taking now a grape. We finish eating the fruits and I frown when there is no yogurt. I meant it when I asked her about the yogurt. I get off my bed and look at him.

"Do you want anything to drink?" I ask him and he nods.

"Yes, thank you for finally asking! I would like a martini, please." He bats his long lashes and I roll my eyes, amused.

"Funny. I'll get you some yogurt." I walk out of my room, close the door, and head to the kitchen.

I see Mary is cooking something and the smell of it makes me close my eyes and just savor the delicious scent. I don't know what she is making but I want to eat all of it. Now! I stand behind her and look over her shoulder, making her jump.

"Juliet, my dear, you scared me!" She places her hand on her heart and I sheepishly smile.

"Sorry, I was trying to see what you were making." I mumble and she smiles.

"I'm making a surprise for you. Now, what are you doing here?" She asks as I widely smile. I love this kind of surprises.

"I came to get some yogurt." I tell her and she nods.

I open the fridge and take two small yogurt bottles. She looks at me confused and points at the bottles. "Two?" She asks. Oh.

"I really am craving for some yogurt." I say and she slowly nods, looking at me a bit suspiciously but then just ignores it.

I quickly get out of the kitchen and go back to my room. I open the door and tilt my head to the side when I don't spot Louis on my bed. I close the door with my foot as I step inside my room but he is nowhere to be seen. Frowning, I place the bottles on my desk and head to the window to see if he has maybe left. No sight of him, so I just grab one bottle and drink it as I sit on my bed. I wonder why he left and didn't say goodbye.

I then notice my walk in closet's door is half opened and chuckle. I get up from my bed and go inside of it to see him checking every piece of clothing I own. I clear my throat and he looks at me, suddenly a goofy smile appears on his lips.

I approach him and take the dress he was holding back to its place. He stands behind me and I turn around, looking up. "I thought you left." I say and he shakes his head.

"Nope, I'm here." His hand raises and his thumb slowly caresses the part that is on top of my upper lip.

I scrunch up my nose and he then sucks his thumb making me feel a bit weird and awkward. "You had some yogurt there." He answers my unspoken question and I slowly nod.

"Oh, ok-okay, than-thanks." I stammer and finish my yogurt, making sure to clean my upper lip.

"Why are you in here?" I ask, trying to change subject.

"I was checking your room and this is part of it. I wonder why you didn't put me in here the other time I came." He says and my cheeks flush a bright shade of red. I should of had thought of that.

"Spur of the moment." I quickly mumble and he laughs.

"Juliet? Where are you?" My eyes widen when I hear Mary's voice and immediately cover Louis' mouth with my hands.

I feel him pout and pucker his lips against my hands and I step on his foot, making him groan but luckily I'm covering his mouth so it was barely audible. He glares at me and I beg him to keep quiet.

"Juliet? Are you in here?" I see the door slowly open so I push Louis into the clothes and catch my breath as I notice I have been holding it.

I pretend to look at some dresses when she comes in and pray she won't notice my state. I turn to look at her and fake a big smile. "Yeah?"

"Why didn't you answer when I first called you?" She asks.

"I did." I lie and scrunch up my nose when I hear my high pitch voice.

"What are you hiding?" She comes closer to me and I step back to where I hid Louis to try and cover him with my body.

"Nothing." I quickly answer.

"Whose shoes are those?" She points between my feet and I look down to see Louis' sneakers. I'm dead.

Suddenly I'm pushed away to the other side and Louis is sticking his hand out for Mary to shake. "Hey, Mary. How are you?" He smiles at her and I look at him with my jaw at the floor. Oh no!

Mary looks at him startled but then returns the smile with a very sweet smile. She takes his hand and shakes it. "You came to get your shirt back?" This causes him to laugh but I still look mortified at both of them.

"No, not yet. I just came to see a very beautiful girl," He says and I scrunch up my nose as I feel my cheeks turn into red. I really do need to check this up. I need to stop blushing.

"I came to see you Mary, but this obnoxious girl didn't let me and trapped me in her closet." Louis shakes his head and Mary giggles. Oh, that's embarrassing.

"That's very sweet, but we all know about who you are really talking about." She winks at him and leaves. Oh.

I look down at my feet as I awkwardly play with my fingers, and then see the same sneakers that because of them I got caught. He lifts up my chin, so I can look at him, and smiles a very cute kind of smile. He bents his head down to be the same level as me and kisses my cheek, which causes me to let out a gasp.

"You are beautiful."

"I'm sorry to ruin this but, your dad is home." We both freeze in our spots and I can actually feel my heart beat so hard that it's about to burst out of my chest any second now.

I grab Louis' hand and drag him out of the closet. I look over the window and see my dad is next to his car talking on the phone, looking very upset, so Louis can't go from the window. "Oh my god!" I gasp. If he finds him we are all dead.

"Are there any other exits?" Louis asks, sounding as scared as me.

"Uh, I can't think of any." I'm too nervous and scared to think straight.

"There is the back exit, the one for the pool and backyard, and the principal entrance. None of them is safe." Mary quickly says and Louis groans.

"You live in this enormous mansion and there are only three exits you know of?" He runs his hand through his hair and looks again over the window.

"Where is he?" My eyes widen and then we hear the entrance door slam.

"Shit!" Louis groans and Mary frowns.

"Language!" That causes me to laugh and they look at me puzzled. At this very tense moment she still has the time to scold him for cussing.

"I'll go from the win-"

"Juliet, could you please come to the living room?" I hear my dad. Does he know? Oh my god!

I whimper and Louis grabs my hand and kisses it. "Go! I'll see you another time. I had fun today." He smiles at me and I smile back.

"Okay, dad! I'm on my way!" I yell back and stay to see Louis climb down the window and land safely.

He sends me a kiss and I widely smile at him. "He is very cute." Mary mumbles and I nod. He is very, very cute.

"Juliet!" I cringe at the voice of my dad. I'm in trouble.
