I ran out on the porch, finding Otis running through the field with two men and a boy.
"Dad!" I yelled, running back inside.
By the time I found my father and we got back outside, the men were nearing the porch.
"Rick? Shane?" I asked.
I looked to Rick who was holding Carl in his arms and found that he was unconscious.
"What happened?!" I inquired.
"I shot him. I didn't mean to! I shot a deer and the bullet just went clean through and hit the little boy!" Otis rushed.
"Otis, get inside." I ordered.
I looked to Shane who was almost panicking before looking to Rick who was crying with blood all over him.
"Lay him down here!" My father ordered as we ran inside.
"Danielle, start an IV." He demanded.
I nodded and quickly began to start an IV.
"I got it from here." He stated.
I nodded before stepping back.
"Try to calm him down if you can." He added.
I walked out of the guest room and found Rick pacing back and forth.
"Is he gonna be okay? Is he okay?" Rick asked.
"He's doing everything he can." I replied.
"Dani, you comin' with me?" Maggie asked.
"Where are you going?" I inquired.
"To find their group." She answered.
I quickly nodded and ran out behind her.
We ran to the stable and got two horses before riding them through the field.
Once we reached the group, they all recognized me.
"Danielle! What the hell?" Andrea asked.
"We ain't got time to talk. Lori Grimes, come with me." Maggie ordered.
"Why?" Lori inquired.
"Your son has been shot." Maggie replied.
I thought Lori was going to faint before she jumped up on Maggie's horse.
"What do I do?" I asked.
"Lead these people back to the farm." She replied.
I nodded and watched as Maggie and Lori rode back off toward the farm.
"Danielle?" Dale asked.
"Hi." I replied.
"What happened?" Carol asked.
"My dad's farm worker shot Carl on accident. He shot a deer, but the bullet went right through the deer and into Carl." I answered.
I looked over to Daryl who was watching me intently before I looked away and got off of the horse.
"We need to get back to the highway and get our things." Andrea stated.
"That's fine." I replied.

I pulled myself back up onto the horse before looking back over to Daryl.
"Where's Sophia?" I asked Andrea as she walked over.
"We can't find her. She ran off the highway three days ago." She mumbled.
"Damn." I muttered.
"So, this must be awkward for you." She replied.
"How?" I inquired.
"Lori told me you slept with her husband." She stated.
"How did she even know? She cheated on her husband and still is." I replied.
"Guess Rick told her." She stated.
"We were drunk. It was nothing." I muttered.
"You leadin' the way, Dani?" Dale asked from the RV.
"Yes, sir." I replied.
"Don't call me that, it makes me feel old." He replied.
I laughed and nodded my head.
"You are old, Dale." Glenn replied.
"You can't be mean to your elders." I joked.

"Where's yer brother and step-mom?" Daryl asked.
"Didn't make it." I mumbled, feeling another rush of emotions.
"Oh." He replied.
"Where's Merle?" I asked.
"We went back to Atlanta and he wasn't on the roof. Cut off his hand." He answered.
"Ew." I muttered.
"Why'd you leave the CDC to begin with?" Glenn asked.
"I needed to get back here." I answered while setting up a tent.
"Hey, is that girl your sister?" He inquired, slyly pointing to Maggie who was walking to the barn.
"Yeah. That's Maggie." I replied.
"Oh." He replied.
"She's single." I stated.
Blood rushed to his cheeks and I smirked before walking away.
I walked into the house and briefly looked into the room Carl's in.
I smiled, finding that he was awake and talking to Lori.
"Dani, care to take his vitals?" My father asked.
"Sure." I replied.
"Dani!" Carl exclaimed.
"Hi!" I replied, smiling as I walked over to the other side of his bed.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Better than yesterday." He answered.
"I'd much rather have Hershel take care of him." Lori stated.
I turned around and looked at her, watching as she crossed her arms.
"Is there a problem with me?" I asked.
"As a matter of fact, there is. I'd like if you stayed away from my family." She answered.
"No! I like Dani!" Carl yelled.
"It's okay." I told him with a smile before leaving the room.

I looked up from my basket of green beans before my eyes landed on Blake.
"Blake?" I asked.
"I've been looking for you." He replied.
"You have?" I inquired.
"I came here a few days ago, but they said you never came back." He stated.
"I just came back yesterday." I replied.
"I apologized to your family, and I needed to apologize to you. We need to talk." He replied.
I looked around, finding that there was people pretty much everywhere.
"We can go to the stables." I replied.
"No, that's okay." He replied.
"I know I wasn't fair to you. The only thing I cared about was drugs and whores. I've been clean for four weeks, and I've only been thinking about you. When the apocalypse happened, you were the first person I thought of." He added.
"You definitely wasn't fair to me." I replied, putting my hands on my hips.
"I'm sorry. I'll always be sorry. You didn't deserve any of that. You stayed with me for so long and tried to help me, but I never realized what I had until I lost you." He replied.
I stayed quiet and was actually surprised at what he was telling me.
"I'd like to work this out with you. Maybe we can start over as friends." He stated.
"Okay." I mumbled.

I stopped talking to T-Dog long enough to hear Lori say something to me about getting around.
I had gotten close to T-Dog over the bond of Lori getting on both of our nerves.
"Did she just..?" T-Dog asked.
"What was that?" I asked, my voice loud so everyone would turn around and listen to what was going on.
I took a few steps forward and watched as she turned around.
"Just saying people know how to get around around here." She replied.
"I heard my name." I replied.
"Well, considering you've slept with Shane and my husband, I guess you did." She replied.
"Keep talking. It's a good way to get your ass kicked." I snapped.
I watched as she laughed and crossed her arms.
"I should've kicked your ass for sleeping with my husband." She replied.
"Someone should've kicked your ass for cheating on your husband. Especially sleeping with his best friend after two days of you thinking he was dead. For what it's worth, I gave him more in one night than you have your entire marriage. It could've been because you were too busy with Shane, or because you don't have anything to give." I replied.
I watched as she grew pale and her jaw slightly dropped.
"What?" Rick asked.
"Got anything else to say?" I asked Lori.
"What did she say?" Rick asked, his tone sharp.
I turned around, T-Dog giving me a smile before quickly wiping it off of his face.
I glanced over to Daryl who was leaned up against a tree before I walked inside the house.

"Morning," Patricia greeted as I walked into the kitchen.
What I said to Lori last night was mean, but she deserved it.
"Morning." I replied.
"Shane was looking for you." She replied.
"He was?" I asked.
She nodded and I walked outside and found him over by the stables.
"Patricia said you were looking for me." I stated.
"Yeah." He replied.
"I wanted to talk to you." He stated.
"Why?" I asked.
I figured he would've been pissed and he was planning to kill me.
He began walking into the stable before turning around.
"You coming?" He asked.
I walked in behind him before he began closing the door.
"Why are you closing the door?" I asked, confused as he shut the large, wooden door behind us.
The only light that was in the stable was coming through the cracks between the walls and the roof.
"I think you should let me kiss you." He replied.
He began walking closer to me before my back was against the side of the stable.
"When was the last time you were with Lori?" I asked.
"The quarry." He answered.
I slowly nodded before he inched closer and put his lips on mine.

I know Otis was supposed to die because of Shane, but as y'all know, I don't go by the series haha. Actually, a lot of other things were supposed to happen and I'm not going in depth because I'll get bored with this and I like to change things up.
