Church of the Beast

I felt my knees finally give out and Father catching me. "It's time to go home. All of us."

"I second that." Emerald said as she walked in drenched in blood.

(AN-I'll let you imagine how she got covered in blood)

"Yes, the Demonic game is over." Ciel stated as he stared straight into my eyes.

"He's finally gone." Emerald and I said in unison. "What a relief."

Once everyone had recovered we began leaving the town. But not before we set the town ablaze so no one else would find it ever again.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I hummed as I work on the deceased man's body. Poor guy was killed and his corpse was beaten and mangled severely. "Papa what shall I do with the wounds?" I asked. He happily walked over toward me.

"Oh now, this my dear is a perfectly mangled corpse. Instead of hiding the wounds, you dye them pink." He replied placing a hand on my head.

"Oh, so it looks like flower petals!" I exclaimed.

"Exactly my dear." He said walking over to a bowl of water and dipped his fingers in. "Now lets see, who do we have next." My father suddenly frowned.

"What's wrong Papa?"

"Oh, I don't like this one bit. This is most unsatisfying. Not a single wound anywhere on the body." He replied. I saw a a piece of fiery red hair. "How pathetic."

Send me a pair of black gloves hands wrapped around my father's neck and started to shake him. "Excuse me, but what did you just say?" Grell 's voice yelled.

"Grell stop it!" I yelled getting up from my seat and grabbing his arm only to be pushed to the ground. I got back up an tried again. "Grell!"

Next thing I know I'm being shoved into a coffin and the lid was slid shut. "A little mouse shouldn't interfere in a cat's business." I heard Grell say along with Aaron growling from his cage

"Grell! Let me out!" I yelled pounding on the lid.

I could feel my heart start to beat faster as Sebastian and I stood outside Undertaker's shop. 'This is no time to be thinking of Lena. I'm here on business.'

I nodded to Sebastian and he opened the door. "I'm coming in." I announced.

Undertaker stood there with his back turned. He was laughing as he said, "Welcome little Lord." I glanced around to see if Lena was around but didn't see her.

"Listen up Undertaker. I have something to ask of you." I stated.

"In that case," He turned to reveal that it was not Undertaker, but Grell. "I demand only the best loving that Bassy has to offer." He yelled as he ran toward Sebastian. Sebastian only moved to the side causing Grell to run straight into the wall.

"Wait Grell?" I asked.

"Hello my Lord." Undertaker's voice said from a pot.

I walked over to the pot to see Undertaker inside buried in what looked like salt. "What are you doing in there?"

"The bounder side he wasn't afraid Grim Reapers  so I buried him in salt." Grell said.

"Yes, he did. All the moisture in my body is being sucked out of it as we speak. It's a great feeling." Undertaker said.

"An interesting opinion." Sebastian said.

Then I heard a loud banging. "Would someone be so kind as to unlatch the latch on this damn coffin already!" Lena's angry voice yelled. Sebastian walked over to black coffin with roses carved on it and opened it. Lena jumped out and dusted off her dress. "Thank you." She said.

"My pleasure." Sebastian replied.

She calmly walked over to us and sat down on the coffin that rested beside me. I noticed she had a faint blush across her pale cheeks. "Hello Ciel." She chirped

"Yes, hello Lena." I replied, then turned to Grell. "Tell me, what are you doing here?"

Grell shrugged. "Will gave me a job to investigate. That's all, but I couldn't find any information. It was getting late and I was tired. So I laid down in a field of flowers. The next thing I now I'm waking up in this shop."

Lena sighed. "You should really be careful in the future not to stop breathing when you sleep. Especially when a random stranger can find you."

He gave Lena a pout and said, "But I was waiting for a certain Prince to come and revive me with a kiss."

"So what are you investigating?" Sebastian asked.

"Oh, nothing much. It's The Grim Reaper's store of cinematic records. Some of them have been stolen."

Undertaker frowned and Lena spoke up. "What! Stolen?"

"Cinematic records? What are they?" I asked.

"Not something a kid needs to worry about." Grell replied.

"They are reels of film containing all the memories of somebody life time." Lena and Sebastian said at the same time.

"Grim reapers extract them from the 'To- Die' list." Sebastian said.

"Then we decide where the person goes from there." Lena stated as she got up and walked over to her father.

"That's basically it, but you should be aware that you humans can only see them when you die." Grell said.

"And these records, how exactly is it that they were allowed to be stolen?" Sebastian asked.

"Well you see, they're stored in the library when we're not using them. Good and evil, the full past of everyone who is destined to die." Grell got cut off.

"All of their lives are stored in the form of books." Lena said. "That still doesn't tell us how they were stolen Grell."

"So you reapers have a group of books in preparation for doomsday?"

"Yup." Lena muttered.

"This is something you've heard of before, isn't it?" Sebastian asked.

Undertaker licked the salt. "Undertaker, Lena, if you will there's something I need your help with."

Undertaker chuckled."Well then, you do know the price for that don't you." Lena bent down and whispered something inaudible to her father. "On second thought, I guess I'll do it for free."

"What's your plan Ciel?" Lena asked.

Then I began to explain.

Father and I sat in the front of the cart while Ciel, Grell, and Sebastian his inside the coffin we were transporting. Once we got to the gate my father and I got off and walked to the man that stood there. "May I help you two?" The man asked.

"My daughter and I are here to deliver the coffin that you've ordered." Papa said with a small chuckle.

"Coffins? Are you curtain sir? I don't believe I've been informed about a delivery like that."

Papa began to 'look' for the delivery slip. "I have the order right here." He began pulling stuff like prayer beads and wooden stakes out of his grey sash. "My oh my, where did I put it?" I heard the others get out of the coffin and into the bushes.

The man smiled. "All right then, perhaps you should come in after all. Your friends over there are welcome as well."

"In that case, I believe I'll take my leave of you. I've accomplished what I came here to do."

"I understand. Thank you for all your hard work. I wish you only the best. May your soul be truly cleansed."

~

"Hey, I thought it was suppose to be difficult to get in here." Ciel said.

"Yes that is what I thought as well."

Three people were walking on the path in front of us. A three has smiles that seemed perfect as they stopped and bowed their heads to us. "They have such perfect smiles, don't they."

"Perhaps you should be learning from them, considering you forgotten how to smile yourself." Sebastian said.

"Fake smiles." I mumbled earning the attention of the two.

"Lena, what's wrong?" Ciel asked.

"I don't like the vibes I'm getting." I said.

Grell stopped me and made me look up at him. "Reaper green." He commented. I knew he was talking about my eyes so I covered them with my bangs.

"Come on." I mumbled.

~

We walked into what looked like the main worship area when Ciel suddenly ran until he reached a certain stain glass window with Sebastian in toe. "What is it my lord?" Sebastian asked.

I quickly reached the two and interlocked my fingers with Ciel. "Are you okay?" He only tighten his grip.

All of a sudden I heard laughter and three boys ran in. "Good evening!" One called.

"Good evening!" Another said.

"Another gorgeous day today wasn't it?" The third asked.

"Oh, well look aren't you just the cutest things. I really don't do well with kids though." Grell said.

"Hello there unclean one." One boy said as they stopped in front of Grell. "I can see every bit of your impurity."

"Say what?"

"What's wrong? Is something bothering you unclean one? Are you not feeling well?" A second asked only to be hit by Grell.

"You brat! What right do you have to be calling me unclean?"

The boy screamed. "An unclean one touch me!"

"We need to go and be cleansed!" Another yelled.

The all ran as Grell chased them. "Honestly Grell." I muttered.

"Ah! Another unclean one!" The last boy yelled as they ran out.

A woman with auburn hair and sea green eyes stood in the door. "I'm sorry about that. After a certain age everyone is considered unclean." I saw her looking at each one of us and stopped at Ciel and I's interlocked fingers. "I see from your clothing your new convent. Don't worry, if you study the teachings of our leader, then you too will be cleansed."

"What? How dare you!" Ciel stepped forward slightly only to be stopped by Sebastian and I.

"Unclean, what a bazar thing to say." Sebastian said walking toward the woman. "I can't believe a lady as beautiful as you is impure." The woman ended up backing up to the door with a dark blush on her face. "we really don't know anything about the religion of practice here. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to tell us a little bit more about yourself."

"Yes. But..um..what are you doing here?" She asked.

Sebastian hit the door next to her head causing her to jump. "There was a bug." He said blowing a small black bug from his gloved hand. "Now you'll tell me everything I need to know, won't you?" The woman gave a small mood as she trembled.

~

I sighed as Ciel, Grell, and I waited for Sebastian to be done. Grell was shaking in anger. "I've never known him to use this approach before." Ciel mumbled.

"That's it! I'm going to put that wench on the to-die-list." Grell yelled, pulling out a book in the process and scribbling in it.

"Calm down will you." I sighed.

"Why did you sound so much like William just then?"
~

I stood behind next Ciel as he interrogated the nun. "The doomsday books of those who live a long life are impure. Our great leader is trying to cleanse the impure passages and make them clean again, but that is at all. Apparently, the doomsday books contain more than a just our pasts, but our future's as well. Can you believe that?" She said.

"The future?" Sebastian said. "Interesting. You don't say."

"It's true, but only the chosen children of the heavenly choir are eligible to hear the words the future written in the books."

"What is this heavenly choir? Do they all sing hymns or something?" Ciel asked.

"Well I'm not sure. Singing might not be the right word exactly. But, I hear beautiful sounds come from our leaders bedroom."

~

"If only boys are chosen for this heavenly choir, that means you're the only one that can get as close to this priest." Sebastian said to Ciel.

"Rubbish!" Grell exclaimed as he pose on a uniform. "Just look at this outfit, they'll let me into the choir for sure." He twirled. "Well, how do I look?"

"Like a bloody idiot." I growled.

"Wah! He's making me impure!" A little boy cried.

"I hate this guy." Ciel muttered.

Then we heard a sound that made me uncomfortable. "The time has come now for those cleansing ceremony!" The kid said.

"Cleansing, eh?" Grell asked making eye contact with me.

"I was right, something here does smell." Sebastian muttered.

"And what is it?"Ciel asked.

I followed Sebastian's line of sight to see someone's silhouette in the window. "Nothing sir. Nothing more than a rotten apple. Dead fruit from a fallen tree."

"Let's go." I said softly as I grabbed Ciel's hand pulling him slightly. "I want to see this cleansing ceremony."

~

We sat in the very last pew. Everyone had their heads bowed and face the front. In the very front there was an altar with two lit candles and three different stain glass windows, in the middle window was the picture of an angel. The Priest walked up the stairs to the altar. "Tonight, the unclean will become pure again. It is time for the cleansing." A man and a woman we brought before the priest with nothing on but cloaks. But those were soon removed as they knelt down. Showing the thick black marks on their backs. I felt Ciel's hand grab mine as he gently squeezed it.

The priest was handed two books. "I suppose those books are cinematic records." Sebastian said.

"I'm too far away to tell." Grell replied leaning closer to Sebastian.

"I shall read the doomsday books of these impure, lost children." The priest said. "First, Jill Peasant. The second daughter of a farmer. She conceived a child in sin." The female began to weep. "Then, we have Thomas Atkins. He has committed no evil deeds Per say, but he spent his life meaninglessly, and that is a grave sin to us." Both were crying now. A black aura surrounding them causing them pain.

Then the middle window began to glow. "I say!" Ciel said. In the window we saw a glimpse of the man and woman's past. "What's happening?"

"Snuff out the unclean! And the unwanted! And the unnecessary! Snuff them out! All of them!" I heard Ciel gasp next to me as his grip on my hand became tighter. The images shattered and the two people screamed in agonizing pain, causing me to turn my head away. Then the light faded. "And now, despite what they have done, these people are no longer unclean. Our brother and our sister as pure as snow!" People cried out to the priest as the two were taken from the alter.

~

Grell pulled me closer to him as I curled up to him slightly. He had insisted I rest because he knew something about the ceremony freaked me out. "Somethings wrong here. Those books the priest had..."

I cut Grell off. "Those were definitely not cinematic records." I said as Grell ran his fingers through my hair.

"They weren't? Does that mean he doesn't have the power to see the past or the future?" Ciel asked as he looked at me with slight worry showing in his visible eye.

We were all silent. "Ah, your still here! I'm so excited! The heavens have truly smile upon you two this day." The nun from before.

"Two?" I asked sitting up to look at the woman.

"Yes. Our leader would like you to join as well, Miss." She said happily. "He says your too pure not to."

"What?!" I yelled.

~

"Please s-stop... I can bathe myself!" I pleaded as the two woman tried to take off my dress.

"Nonsense. You've been chosen to speak with our leader and see the doomsday books, even though you are not part of the heavenly choir!" One said.

"Yes, this is a great honor! So we must cleanse you from head to toe." The other said as the two women accomplished undoing and removing my dress and undergarments. I tried to cover as much of my flat chest as possible. "There that wasn't so hard, now was it?"

The other woman grabbed my arm and rubbed her cheek against it. "Look at how perfect your skin is."

I yanked my arm back and looked at the floor. "Please don't touch me like that." I said softly.

"You don't have to worry, we can touch you."

"We've already been cleansed."

"It's not that...." I said quietly.

"Please just let us cleanse you."  I finally gave in and let them. "Miss you must give up you worldly possessions as well." One said pointing to my necklace.

(AN: Raise your hand if you forgot she had the necklace that she got from Undertaker.)

"Must I?" I felt my body tense. It felt like if I gave the necklace away I would forget everything. "Please don't make me give it up. It's the only thing I have left of my mother. Please don't make me." I begged. "I'll hide it! Please I beg of you!"

I saw the struggle in their eyes. "Alright but you must keep it hidden." One said as she poured water over my head.

"Thank you. I will."

~

I soon found myself dressed in the robes as the others. My silver hair was braided and hidden beneath the cloth they placed on my head. I made sure that the necklace was hidden under the white collar of the robe. Ciel and I were being lead by three women. I sensed Grell and Sebastian close by. We made it to the door. 'Here we go.' I thought before we walked in.

"Leader we've brought them." One said.

The man stood waiting for us. "Well done. You may leave us now." The three women bowed there heads and left us. "You look very clean Ciel, Lena. Very good. Come this way." Ciel and I walked up to the alter with the man.

"Thank you for choosing me, I hear it's quite an honor." Ciel said.

"Yes thank you." I said. "But may I quickly ask, why me?"

My attention was brought to the other hooded figure in the room as he said, "It is rare to fine a person your age with such a pure soul, Lena."

"I see. Then I am truly honored."

The priest place a hand on both of our shoulders. Then removed the hand from my shoulder and turned to the book. "Very good. And now there is something I'd like to read to you two."

"May I ask you, what is a doomsday book, really?"

"For our purposes it is a story I will read to you as long as you want. Tonight's a treat isn't it?" Ciel's eyes widened. "Lena, when you wish for me to stop reading just tell me."

'No he couldn't possibly know she said that.' I thought.

My mother and an six year old me sat on my bed with a book resting in both of our laps. "Lena, when you wish for me to stop reading just tell me."

"No!" I yelled backing up slightly. The priest put his hand on Ciel's head.

I tried to move but I couldn't. I struggled to move until I heard the voice. "Cleanse yourself." Ciel hit the hand away. "Cleanse yourself of the sins you have committed right here and right now." Suddenly the priest grabbed Ciel by the neck.

"No!" I yelled.

"Sebastian this is an order! Kill this man!" Ciel ordered.

"Yes, my lord." Sebastian and Grell came crashing through one of the Windows. Sebastian threw a shard of glass and killed the priest square in the forehead. I felt myself move as the hooded figure ran toward Ciel. Sebastian threw a second shard only ripping the cloak. I looked up. "I thought it was you. And I was right, Angela." Sebastian said to the Angel.

"Uh, Bassy? What the hell is an angel doing here?" Grell asked as I felt an arm wrap around my body. "Lena!"

"Master!" Sebastian yelled.

Somehow the Angel pulled out a real cinematic record from somewhere while holding on to Ciel and I. "Oh, look that's a real cinematic record right there!" I heard Grell say as the cinematic records wrap themselves around Sebastian.

"Do something Grell, use your death scythe!"

"Give me a second okay, I'm working on it." Grell replied trying to cut the cinematic records with even smaller scissors then last time.

"What are those sad things?"

"Well what do you want me to do? Will just took my other death scythes away from me!"

I felt Angela's head lower so we could hear her. "I will show all of it to you. All the light and darkness, every moment of your past."

"No!" I screamed trying to get out of her embrace. Then I yelled something I never thought I would. "Sebastian help us! Please!"

The last thing I heard was. "I cut it!" and "Here we go!" Then everything went black.

************************************************************************************.

Hello everyone......

It's been a long time since I've written this story. I had promised to have this out by January 1, 2016, but as soon as Christmas was over my life turned into living hell with drama and stuff like that. I was depressed and had no inspiration nor desire to write. But I'm getting better so....yeah.

To be honest I forgot about Lena's necklace until I when back and read this entire story so I could get my inspiration back 😓. I feel so dumb.

Anyway I'm gonna try to update as soon as possible.

Bye bye
