Chapter 11
Let's talk about death for a moment. If someone says that someone got, let's say...shot. Multiple times even. You would assume they would be dead.
Well that's not always the case. You see, it all depends where you shoot. As long as you nothing vital you're fine. The problem with that is that it's hard to that. But it's still possible. And Feliciano know that.
That's what he did expect with only shooting Ludwig about once or twice. He hit nothing vital and he purposely missed about two or three time. He just didn't want to clean up that much blood. It would be too much of a hassle.
With all the strength he could muster, he dragged Ludwig's unconscious body the basement.
"Damn you are heavy." He muttered to himself.
"It's been a while."
"Yes, it has." The two were quiet for moment before bursting into a fit of laughter. "So how have you been?"
"Eh, a little here, a little there. Overall fine. How about you?"
"Same old, same old."
"Oh so crap?"
"You know me too well."
"Well come on in and bring them." Lukas said as he pointed to the others sitting in the car.
"How are you so calm about this?"
"Well, I never sad I was sane. Hell, I once shot a man just to watch him die! Then again he was an enemy so I had a reason..."He shook the thought away, "What I'm saying is that I'm kind of a sociopath. For example," He took a knife out from his pocket, "if I were to stab you right now I wouldn't care."
"I guess the rumors were true." Ludwig mumbled. Suddenly, a knife grazed his face and landed in the stone wall.
"Don't mention those damn rumors again. Those rumors are nothing more than lies." Feliciano glared.
"So, why'd you come?" Lukas asked. Currently the two were playing chess. It was more of a way to keep anything from getting silent.
"Oh damn, where do I begin?" Lovino replied jokingly as he moved his knight.
"I don't know, the beginning maybe." Lukas moved a pawn.
"Well...the Mafia is kind of in a ditch at the moment." Lovino moved his knight again.
"What do you mean?"
"Some members aren't listening to our commands."
"Sounds rough."
"So we need all the help we can get."
"I see." Lukas moved his queen. "What specifically do you need help with?"
"You truly are a heartless man."
"No, not at all. I just have different priorities than most people. And I know you're just stalling so I can't get information out of you. You do know I have other methods."
"Sure you do." There was extreme sarcasm in his voice.
"Since you're getting sassy I better get to it." An evil grin appeared on his face. This was not good.
"Seems like something I can do."
"Great. Also, checkmate."
Lukas chuckled, "You were always better at this."
"You're damn right!"
"So what's up with your buddies?"
"Just some shields." The other two turned their heads at the statement causing Lovino to smirk. "How's the family?"
"Same old, same old."
"Insane?"
"Yep!"
"I'm home!" They all turned to see Tino coming in.
"Oh hey Tino!" Lovino greeted. "It's been a while."
"Yeah, it has! How've you been?"
"Good. What about you?"
"Pretty good, I guess."
"How's acting as a bartender?" Lukas asked with a hint of a smile.
"Just wonderful! Except for that Alfred guy. He's annoying as hell. Oh, hey Eliza!" Eliza froze. After a few seconds, she awkwardly waved. "I'm going to go do stuff. Bye!" Then he left.
"You know him, Eliza?" Lovino asked.
"Uh...a little bit."
Never in his life had he thought that being tickled would be the worst form of torture he would insure. Then again, he did have a gun pointed to his head. If he were to stop laughing the trigger would be pulled. He didn't want that at all. Feliciano was nice enough to give him a break but still kept the gun in place.
"Why tickling of all things?" Ludwig managed to ask.
"I just think you have a nice laugh." Feliciano chuckled a bit, "that and I'm not the one who kills. I'd rather not kill people it'd just be a waste."
"You're a strange mix."
"Indeed I am."
