Chapter 10

Lovino had coincidentally left on the day Feliciano invited Ludwig over. Secretly, Feliciano thanked the heavens. After debating on what to do and coming to no conclusion, he took Yao to their base. Now he waited for Ludwig to arrive to his home. He sat thinking about the immense pressure on his shoulders. With such heavy matters, he simply didn't know what to do. Even with the help of Yao. His brother simply wouldn't help. He had never dealt with so much pressure.

Yet, he has dealt with the lives of many just not this many. Though it does excite him. He slightly loves being in control of so many lives, and with one order they could all be crushed. Feliciano could be slightly murderous, but he knows when to calm down.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. He jumped up and went to answer. There stood Ludwig with an amazed look on his face. As if he wasn't expecting a mansion. Then again, no one ever does and it just makes Feliciano laugh.

"Hello!"

"Hello."

"Who are you meeting with?"

"An old family friend, Lukas Bondevik." Lovino said as he lit a cigarette.

"Wait, you're meeting with one of the richest families in the whole world!"

"Correct."

"How-"

"I said he was an old family friend."

"You amaze me."

"Why thank you. I'm flattered." Lovino smirked, "There's really no need to say such nice things."

"Really thou-"

"I really meant that."

"Oh...uh—sorry."

"Damn, you really don't know how to talk to people, and I thought you were our way of information."

"I'm good with people; I just don't know how to talk to you."

"Talk to me like any other person, I may be someone who commands you but I'm a person too. It's not like I'm going to kill you second you say something wrong." He let out a puff of smoke, "though I do have one rule..."

"What could that be?"

"Don't ask me anything too personal."

"Tino! You are no help!"

"I'm sorry Alfred, but I can't give you much. I'm just a bar tender." That was a slight lie. Still, Tino liked acting as a bar tender. He especially like hearing the wave information about what's going on in the city. You could say it was the excitement of danger that kept him there.

"Why not?"

"I hope you realize that there's more than one person that wants to know things."

"I guess you're right."

"Isn't there anyone else you could ask?" Alfred shook his head in response. This caused to Tino to sigh in slight disappointment. Though, it did clear some things that confused him. "Listen, since I can't get the information you want, I can at least point you to someone who can."

"Who could that be?"

"I'll go get you a drink!" Feliciano said cheerfully as he stood. He ran to the kitchen to get some wine. Happily pouring it in the wine glass, and almost running back. He was stopped when he heard a particular noise. He heard the cocking of a gun. He could feel the cold metal of a gun on the back of his head. He froze. "I see." He spoke out becoming serious. "Tell me, how long have you been putting up an act?"

"A while."

"I see." Feliciano sighed. "I have a question before you pull that trigger."

"Alright."

"...Do you take me for a useless coward?" There was slight anger in his seemingly calm voice. "I am one of the leaders of the Mafia," he turned around and grabbed Ludwig's wrist, "I have been trained all my life for situations like this," he gripped the wrist with great force and pulled Ludwig to the ground, "I have killed many people, and I'm not afraid to kill you. When some breaks the simple rules we have, no matter what, I will follow what I stated. Now, why did you do this?"

"I can't say why I did it."

"What a stupid answer. So you're telling me you put up an act, practically betraying me everyday, and you can't even tell me why? That's stupid. Now tell me...were you behind the violence in the mafia."

"Why would I reveal such a thing?" Ludwig stood up.

"There's a simple to that. The fact is you're going to die. I thought I might as well get as much information out of you as possible."

"It's weird...I never thought you would be so sadistic."

"Then I guess you don't know me at all. I thought you would from our talks, but I guess you didn't listen. That's for the best anyway because now I know that people can tell when I'm lying," he cocked the gun once more, "or when I'm telling the simple truth." Slowly, he pulled the trigger firing the gun. He didn't fire just once.
