"I is a cheese wheel"

Mallory's POV:
As I slowly rise out of my slumber I notice something warm surrounding me. I assume it's a blanket, and peel open my eyes.
It's not a blanket. Memories of last nights conversation come back and I smile to myself. I feel him kiss the top of my head before he gets up and walks out, I assume he needs to pee or whatever. Rolling out of bed I hear my name faintly in a conversation.
"I need you to keep Mallory away from the calling. She doesn't need to be there when we send Jake back out and then pick this years...volunteer." Xavier says as I finish pulling on my black pants and grey sweater that has a smiley face on it. I fume with anger and storm down the stairs.
"You will not send him back and you will not force another person to leave their families. You will bring back the remaining people you have 'called' or whatever you call it or I will leave and free them myself." I cross my arms after I finish my rant and Xavier's beta snorts. I glare at him and he whines. Wimp.
"Look, Mallory I would love too," Xavier starts, and I raise my eyebrows. "However I can't. It took too much bloodshed between our pack and the rouges to get to this time of peace and it's going to stay that way. I'm sorry." He says and he looks away, probably scared of me. I sigh and he looks up.
"Do the rouges have a leader?"
"Yep."
"Will he be here tonight?"
"Yep."
"I'll talk to him."
"Yep...Wait, no! Are you crazy?"
"Probably."
"Promise me you won't talk to him."
"Okay, I promise." Little does Xavier know I'm not planning on keeping this promise. If he wants me to stick around and give him a second chance he needs to stop this stupid calling thingy.

Jake's POV:
I wake up from the first decent sleep I've had in a while and sigh happily to myself. I never dreamed I would get back to May, to my pup. She's almost six now. It's crazy. I regret missing so much of her life, but it's not like I could do anything about it.
"Hey." I hear May breathe and I look down at her.
"Hey."
"I've missed this." Her smile falters slightly so I tilt my head down and kiss her lips lightly.
"Me too."
Soon our pup, Raven, bursts through the door. "MOMMMM I WANT AN APPLE." Her eyes widen when she sees me. "Uhh..mom who's that?" She asks, as this is her first time seeing me.
"Sweetie this is your father." May says, and Raven's eyes scan over me as I sit up in bed. The next thing I know her small figure is wrapped around me. I let a single tear fall and hug her back, using one hand to pull May up and she joins the hug. I couldn't be happier...until I hear the announcement.
"ALL MALES ABOVE 18 REPORT TO THE CIRCLE, ALL MALES ABOVE 28 REPORT TO THE CIRCLE IMMEDIATELY."
It's happening almost exactly like that awful morning 6 years ago. Tears begin to appear in Raven's eyes and I wipe them away.
"Hey, it's okay. I promise. Why don't you and mom go get some ice cream or something?" She nods and hesitantly leaves the room. I then turn my attention to May and the tears pouring down her face." I love you." I say, and she leans presses her lips to mine. I pull away and wipe away her tears.
"I love you too." She whispers before pushing me towards the door. Taking a deep breath I walk out the door and make my way to the Circle.

Mallory's POV
I somehow manage to sneak away from Xavier and make my way to the tent where the leader of the rouges is staying. My plan is to act innocent, and desperate. Standing in front of the tent I take a deep breath and weigh my options. Pros; Possibly stoping this madness. Cons; Xavier. I shake off the worry and push aside the fabric.
"What."
"Hi, uh... I'm Mallory, the Luna. I'm here to talk to you about changing the treaty?" I say and glance up at him. The leader is short, with piercing black eyes.
"No." I realize he won't give in unless I make him, so I change my tactic.
"Let's try this again. You will agree to changing the treaty but will remain peaceful with the pack. You will agree to discuss new terms with Alpha Xavier and the calling will be permanently ended. You will bring back all the wolves that were called or you will deal with me." I slam my hands down on his tiny little desk and he stares into my eyes.
"Fine. Go get your stupid Alpha." I give him a smile before rushing out to the circle, where I see Xavier about to start the calling.
"Wait!"
