Mallory's POV:
I've decided to leave Cole with a nice married couple here. It's safer for him, and then I can go give myself to the rouges...hopefully they'll stop their horrible actions. I found a nice woman and her mate, they already have a pup of their own, and said they would be willing to take Cole in as their own.
It's heartbreaking to leave Cole behind. I really don't want to. I want to watch him grow up. Maybe one day, if the rouges don't kill me, I can come back, see the man he will have been shaped into by the loving people I'm giving him to.
I just hope he won't resent me for leaving him. That's got to be my biggest fear with this process. Well, and when I'm telling him that I'm leaving. Those are my biggest fears.
"Cole, buddy. Are you awake?" I whisper to him. It's 1:30 in the morning and I told his new family I would bring him over around 2. Luckily, they didn't question my timing.
"I guess so. Why do I need to be?" My heart breaks. Its time to tell him.
"Cole, baby, I have to leave." His sweet little face scrunches up in confusion.
"What about me?" I sigh.
"Baby, you're going to live with some very nice people here. I'm sorry but I can't take you with me. I love you so much, but it's not safe for you."
"But........I wanna go with you!" He starts to whine, and a tear drips down his face.
"I'm sorry baby, you can't. But you'll have a new friend to play with, his name is Kyle, and he's your age. Now we need to go, I'm dropping you off at your new...family's house."
"No! You can't make me! Please!" He cries loudly, and I shush him.
"Shh, baby. I wish I could take you. Now come on, it's time to go."
We get up and silently walk to Cole's new...residence. I gently knock on the door, and look down at Cole. A few tears slip down his face and I wipe them away.
"I'll come back, I promise." I've never broken a promise before, and I don't want to start now, but I might have too, for his sake. "I love you Cole, so much."
"I love you too Mal. See you soon?" He's being so brave.
My voice cracks as I say, " Yeah buddy." I carefully hand him off to the lady that opened the door, and mouth a thank you. She nods, and closes the door. A tear slips down my face, and I quickly wipe it away. I love Cole, but it time to go. I put my hand on my backpack and run into the forest.
WAIT. My wolf howls. I skid to a stop.
What? Oh right, I forgot the spray! Thanks for reminding me!
I grab out the spray that will mask my scent, and begin squirting it onto my body and the grass as my wolf talks again.
NO! Are you really going to just leave our MATE, and BROTHER behind because of your selfish wants?
I cut her off. I can't deal with this. I need to focus. It's already 3:00! I only have four hours until Xavier wakes, which means three and a half until I need to be across the border. Great.

Sorry I haven't updated, I'm SUPER stressed with all the tests and finals and projects lately.
But I'm babysitting (the kids are asleep so no judging) so I was like HEY. WHY NOT WRITE?!
But seriously have you guys seen Pitch Perfect 2?!?! It's literally the best movie EVER. I've seen it twice already and I'm going again in a few days. Just in case you have NO idea what I'm taking about, I put a trailer in the side (or at the top for all dem phone readers). But yeah, you should watch it!
