Mallory's POV
I cannot BELIEVE he's using Cole to get to me. Well guess what Mr. Stupid Abusive Dude, it's not working.
My wolf is still on the fence about Xavier, but she's starting to want him around. Great, that's just what I needed. We should've left sooner.
We need to leave. It's not safe for us to stay in one spot, not with all the rouges after us. Our old pack was HUGE, and they still defeated us. I don't want to put anymore people, or wolves, in danger.
I have a feeling Xavier would protect me, but I can't have him dying, or anyone else. Even though the pack needs a Luna. I'm sure Xavier has some power obsessed girl that would gladly take my place. See? No problem with me leaving. I'll just be replaced.
Now we're in the car and Cole is singing along to Maroon 5's Sugar. His high voice contrasts Xavier's highly and my wolf sighs in contentment.
Our mate's a beautiful singer.
I roll my eyes at her. I don't care. Don't get too attached. We're leaving tonight.
I close the link before she starts yelling at me for my plan. But what am I supposed to do? Run.
I wonder if Cole would be safer here. If I gave him to someone with a LOVING mate. Someone with pups of their own. I could go back to the rouges, and let them have me. As long as Cole is safe.
I continue contemplating the idea and before I know it we're at Taco Bell.
"I'll have a cheese roll-up and some nachos please!" Cole asks the woman nicely. She smiles at him and looks at Xavier and I.
"I'll have a Taco Supreme." I say, and Xavier asks for the same. Does he not know how to pick for himself?
Or he just likes Taco Supremes idiot.
I ignore my wolf and continue to get the drinks. Pepsi for Cole, Mountain Dew for Xavier, Water for me. I've never really liked pop..or soda. Whatever you want to call it. It just tastes weird.
I sit down in the large booth and the three of us eat in silence. Its seven more quiet because we're the only ones here.
I finish my taco supreme quickly and wipe my mouth. "Okay Cole, time to go back!" I say cheerfully, to trick Xavier into thinking we're staying.
"Alright. Let's go." Xavier says, and I smile to myself. It's time for this plan to go into action.

Sorry its SO short, I've been super busy and stressed lately with all the finals and essays and projects teachers have been slamming us with. I'll try to update one more time this weekend. We'll see...;)
