"Sure sure. But when you come whining to me about being "fat" and how i shouldn't have given you sugar im going to show you this conversation."
So basically my friend was telling me about how she was starting a diet (which I think no one needs to diet, you're perfect the way you are) and how I wasn't allowed to give her ANY SUGAR.
Ironically the next day my mom made brownies. My friend ate three of them.
So anyways, sorry I've been gone! I had PARCC testing the past two weeks so ugh. But, I noticed you guys have been reading and voting! You literally have NO idea how happy that makes me! I'm probably boring you now, so I'll continue later ;)

Recap:
I'm about to fall asleep when I hear a knock on the door. I can tell from the scent it's Xavier. He smells like pine needles and apple pie.
"What do you want?"

Mallory's POV
Xavier's eyes are bloodshot, as if he had been crying a river of tears moments ago. His shoulders are slumped, and his hair is tossed everywhere. My wolf aches at the pain we have caused him, but I remind her of the pain he gave us. The only difference, my pain was mostly physical, his was emotional.
"I...I just wanted..." His eyes meet mine for half a second, and I instantly feel even worse. "Never mind. I just came to make sure you were settled in." He slowly turned around, and began to walk away.
My wolf took over me, hating seeing her mate in pain. I, or should I say she, ran over and hugged him. Xavier's body tensed at my act of affection. I was about to pull away, feeling embarrassed that he hadn't returned the hug, when I felt two strong arms rap around my body.
"Thank you." I heard him whisper. My wolf just sighs in contentment. I, on the other hand, am contemplating whether or not to run away tomorrow.
"I need to get to bed." I say, attempting to pull out of the hug. Attempting being the key word. Xavier growled lowly, and I growled back. "Cole needs me. I'll be in my room. We'll talk about this tomorrow." I said, walking back towards the door.
Once I'm laying down on my make-shift floor bed, I hear the door creak open, followed by a thump and muttered curses. I silently giggle at the foolishness of Xavier. The next thing I know, the same arms are rapped around me and I feel a warmth from behind.
He came in for us, he obviously wants us to stay. My wolf speaks in my mind.
SHHHHHH. IM TRYING TO SLEEP!! I say back to her childishly.
Geez someone needs a chill pill. My wolf says.
What I need is sleep, now be quiet Emily. I tell her. She moves to the back of my mind and I drift off into a deep sleep.
So I was going to end it here but I'm feeling nice ;)
When I awake, the strong arms had disappeared. Not that I care. Nope, no cares at all. I silently walk over to Cole, and I see tears running down his cheeks, eyes open wide in fear.
I carefully pick him up and rock him. "What's wrong baby?" I ask him quietly.
"I had a bad dream."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Knowing that not all dreams want to be shared.
"Mom and Dad are gone, right? And Evers?" Another tear escapes his eyes. My heart breaks at the sight of him.
"I don't know bud." I continue rocking him as my mind takes off in thought. Should I tell him what I saw? No, he's too young. I sigh. "Hey Cole, do you want to go get some food before we leave?"
"You're not leaving." I hear a deep voice say from the doorway. Startled, I jump. Glaring at Xavier, I speak to Cole.
"Lets go get some pancakes. You can shower and then we'll go, okay?"
"Okay." Cole whispers back before Xavier slams his fist into the wall.
"NO! YOU ARE NOT LEAVING." He yells. I ignore him, pushing past him with Cole in my arms, heading to the kitchen.
"Mal, he's scary." Cole whimpers and I hear Xavier stop chasing us. He's waiting for my response.
"I know baby, that's part of why we're leaving." I give him a small smile.
