Chapter Two
I'm a big girl now! I even go potty on the potty!
So basically before every chapter Im going to put a random text message from an argument with my friend that i find hilarious. If you are uninterested, then skip this part. I just thought it would be fun xD
I also have been forgetting to say who's POV it is in. So im going to fix that.

MALLORY'S POV:
"Okay. I'll just...follow you." I pick up poor, tired Cole and follow the barely clothed men. "Baby, you can go to sleep. I'll wake you if we leave again" I whisper in Cole's ear, rubbing his back.
"Okay" he whispers back.
"We're here." The beta says.
"Okay." I say quietly, trying to let Cole completely fall asleep. The Beta, who's name I never learned, knocks on the door.
"What?!" A loud voice demands. I am immediately attracted to his voice.
"We brought the rouges, Alpha Xavier." The beta says, opening the door. I lower my head in respect, because if I want to survive I need to show respect.
The next thing I know, Im shoved into a wall, and being hit, kicked, and stabbed with a knife I didn't know existed. Shielding Cole, I crumble to the ground, and struggle to breathe.
I look into his cold eyes and my wolf howls. MATE! MATE!
Oh. Great. Im mates with the guy that almost killed me.
I see his eyes soften and sadden when he sees me in pain. Yeah, right. Like he cares.
"GET HER SOME CLOTHES AND GET THE PACK DOCTOR! NOW!" He yells, and i flinch, covering Cole's ear. I want to shush him, but I'm afraid he will hit me again.
He gently picks me up, and i hold Cole closer to me. I look up, and find his eyes staring into mine. Inside his beautiful, brown eyes I see so many emotions. Anger, love, lust, and sadness. Great.
"Baby, whats wrong?" His eyebrows come together in confusion. I just shake my head, worrying that I would wake up Cole. Speaking of the devil, I look down at him, and some of my pain goes away. Only a little, but his peaceful face makes me smile. "You have a beautiful smile." My head snaps back to Xavier.
I get placed on a bed and the pack doctor rushes over. As he's checking me over, Xavier gives a low, protective growl.
"You should be fine. Just ice your bruises and keep an eye on that...stab hole...I stitched it up, but it's going to take a while to completely heal. If you work too hard, it may become deeper, which would be bad."
"Thank you doctor" Xavier and I say at the same time. The doctor leaves and Xavier turns to me.
"I'm so sorry baby..I didn't know and I was ju-"
I cut him off, "Look. You just beat me, and now you're acting all protective and stuff. I appreciate your pack doctors help, but Cole and I are leaving tomorrow. I've always dreamed of having the perfect mate, one that would never hurt me and would love me. But you just proved thats not going to happen. I'm not going to reject you, I'm just going to leave. And don't even try to stop me, because you don't even care. If it was just me, I might stay. Well, no, because I'd be putting your pack in danger. But right now, my decision is based off of what Cole needs. And he needs a safe place where I don't have to be on high alert 24/7 for his safety. So thanks, but no thanks." I stand up, and gently pick up Cole. I walk into the room across the hall, to find a single bed. Sighing, I lay Cole on the bed, and put pillows around him to keep him in place. Then, I cover him up, grab another pillow and blanket and lay on the floor.
I'm about to fall asleep when I hear a knock on the door. I can tell from the scent it's Xavier. He smells like pine needles and apple pie.
"What do you want?"
