Imagine #6: Bucky&Loki

For SpiderGirl24!

As annoying as it was, it wasn't abnormal for me to wake up to Loki and Bucky fighting. For some reason, unknown to me, they absolutely hated each other. They used to get along pretty well. Now, all they do is fight.

I walked into the kitchen, grabbing some cereal to eat. Bucky sat next to me, earning him a glare from Loki. I raised an eyebrow at them, sighing.

"What are you two fighting about today?" I asked, taking a bite of my cereal.

"Same thing it is every day." Bucky muttered. I sighed.

"Which is?"

They both stayed silent. I shrugged, finishing my meal. As I stood, Loki and Bucky rushed towards me, both grabbing an arm.

"Y/N, I-" They said simultaneously. I laughed, wiggling my arms out of their strong grasps. They glared at each other.

"Y/N, I was wondering if you'd like to go out to dinner with me." Loki said quickly.

"Or." Bucky interjected. "You go to dinner with me."

I sighed, rolling my eyes. "Or, I could go with both of you. One tonight, one tomorrow night?" I offered.

They groaned, but nodded nonetheless.

"I'll write your names in a hat and pick randomly." I informed them, walking off to grab a hat, and paper. I closed my eyes, grabbing the first paper I felt. I opened it, smiling softly as I read,

"Loki."

Loki smiled triumphantly, while Bucky glared hatefully, walking off angrily. I sighed, smiling as I looked back at Loki.

"Well, what did you have planned?" I giggled.

Loki smirked gently, walking towards me. "You'll see. Just dress your best, which shouldn't be hard." He winked, placing a kiss on my cheek. I blushed, looking down.

"Surprises, huh?" I teased. "Alright, well, I'll go get dressed."

He nodded, watching as I walked off to my room. I quickly curled my Y/H/C hair, applying a little bit of gold and brown makeup. I picked out my black maxi dress with a slit, something I had been saving for a special occasion. This was the first date I had been in for quite a while, so i didn't really get too dressed up often. I finished off the look with black pumps, smiling proudly in the mirror. About an hour later, I walked out into the living room. There, on the couch, sat Bucky, Loki, Tony and Natasha. Nat saw me, standing and rushing over to me.

"Oh my god, you look gorgeous!" She squealed, hugging me tightly. I smiled, laughing lightly.

"Thanks!"

Loki stood, gaping at me. He was dressed in a black tux, with a green bow tie. "Y/N, you look beautiful."

I blushed, smiling widely.
"Thank you. You look really handsome." I said honestly, my voice small. He blushed, kissing my cheek.

Soon, we had left after a little bit of small talk. Loki and I walked down to the beach. As we got closer, I noticed there were little lights hanging from something. Loki looked to me, smiling lightly.

"Do you like it?" He asked.

I smiled widely, unable to take my eyes away from the scene in front of me; there on the beach was a little table with a canopy hung around it, fairy lights strung around the entirety of it. Loki lightly held my hand, leading me to the table. He held my chair out for me, letting me sit before he sat himself. The rest of the night, we talked, laughed and we even danced. Once I realized it was one o'clock, I decided we should pack up and head home.

--------

I had barely gotten any sleep, but it was definitely worth it. The date went amazing, but I still had Bucky's date to look forward to. I woke up around 9:00, groggily walking downstairs.

"Y/N!" Bucky smiled. "Are you reading for our date? I have everything planned."

I yawned, giving him a tired nod.

"Tired, hm?" He asked playfully, glaring at Loki.

"A little." I spoke up, shrugging. "I'll be find for the date, don't worry."

He smiled, squeezing my arm lightly. "Be ready at twelve, alright?"

I nodded, mentally groaning. I padded back into my room, keeping myself busy for an hour. Around eleven thirty, I began the long search for an outfit. Finally, I settled on a pastel pink crop top, black skater skirt, and a black cardigan. I zipped up my black boots, grabbing my purse and walking into my bathroom. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the clock read '12:09'. I groaned, quickly applying some light makeup, pinning half of my hair up. I practically ran out of my room, running straight into someone. I sat on the ground, looking up.

"Hey! Ready to leave?" Bucky smiled, kneeling down.

I laughed, rolling my eyes. "Yes, but a little help would be nice."

He laughed back, holding his hand out. I held it, laughing as my hair blew in my face as he pulled me up. We linked arms, walking out to his car. Surprisingly, it didn't that long for Bucky to learn how to drive again. It seemed he was a natural.

"Y/N?" A voice spoke, snatching me from my little world inside my head.

"Hm? Sorry." I mumbled, buckling my seat belt.

"I asked you to put this on." He smirked, holding up a blindfold. I playfully groaned, sassily grabbing the blindfold from his hands.

"You're going to pay, mister." I laughed as I tied the blindfold around my eyes. I sighed, leaning back in the car. It felt as if the car started, and soon enough, I heard traffic. I relaxed, enjoying the (almost) silent ride. I began to nod off, until Buckys voice woke me.

"Y/N, we're here. Just don't take off the blindfold."

I nodded, fiddling around for the seatbelt. "Bucky, I can't really function with this on. Little help, please?"

"Yeah, of course." He said softly, clicking the seatbelt button. I continued sitting, waiting for him to open the door.

"Its open."

I held my hand out, slowly standing once I felt his hand in mine.

"Lead the way." I laughed. I breathed in, smiling once the scent of food flodded my nose. "Mmm. Smells good."

Bucky chuckled, and it sounded as if he opened a door. I followed him inside the building, which I assumed to be a restaurant. I heard faint mumbling, and then a few laughs. Finally, I heard the words I was looking for.

"Take off the blindfold."

I did so, blinking my eyes a few times to adjust to the light. I looked around, gasping as I processed what I was seeing. Bucky and I sat alone in a gorgeous little restaurant, dim mason jar lights strung around the ceiling. I turned my gaze back to Bucky.

"This is amazing, Bucky!" I squealed, laughing quietly as he was interupted by the waiter. We ordered, ate, and talked. I thanked him again as we left, leaning my head onto his shoulder. On the silent drive home, thoughts raced through my mind.

I know I'll have to choose. Do I even want to? Not really. What have I gotten myself into? A mess, thats what. Now I have to clean it up, and it won't be fun.

My thoughts were exactly this, and more, until we arrived back at Stark Towers. I bid goodnight to everyone, deciding to sleep on it. I sighed as I stripped down to my pajamas, closing my heavy eyelids.

----------------

I woke up much later than usual, and I was extremely tired as I sat up in my bed, rubbing my eyes. I yawned, stretching slightly. My stomach churned as I remembered what I would have to face today.

Truth is, I knew for a while both Loki and Bucky had crushes on me. For one, Tony couldn't keep his mouth shut. Natasha was the same; she just had to tell me. As flattering as it was that two very handsome men wanted to date me, there was one problem.

Did I even want to date them?

Bucky and Loki had been my good friends for a very long time, and I didn't know if I wanted to ruin that friendship. Yes, sometimes I had romantic thoughts about the two of them; another problem. If I chose, which one would I pick? Loki and Bucky both had their amazing qualities, but if I didn't choose, I wouldn't get either; friend or not.

I sighed, walking out of my room. I was surprised to say the least as I watched Bucky and Loki have a conversation. A calm, non-violent/agressive conversation. I pressed against the wall, out of sight.

"I just wanted to let you know if she, in some crazy case, picks me, I...I hope we can make amends. We used to be great friends, and I never wanted us to become enemies." Bucky spoke. I smiled lightly.

"I know." Loki spoke. "Its a shame she caught both of our eyes."

They chuckled, silence filling the room. I stepped out from the corner, waving.

"Morning, guys. Wow, you aren't fighting for once." I joked, trying to act as if I hadn't heard their conversation.

The two of them laughed again, nodding. I breathed in, nodding more to myself than to them.

"Alright. I understand I have to choose." I began, making eye contact first with Loki, then Bucky. "Tony and Natasha are both blabber-mouths, so... I uhm, I know."

Loki smirked at Bucky, shaking his head. Bucky smiled lightly, and I could tell he was nervous. Though Loki was too, he was simply better at hiding it.

"Before I uhm, announce my choice, I guess, I want to say one thing. I love you guys, no matter what. You've helped me through a lot, and I guess I just want to say I don't want to loose either of you, because of this. Just because I might not love you romantically, you'll always have a special spot in my heart."

Bucky and Loki nodded. I took another deep breath.

"I choose." I began, but no other words formed. My heart was pounding, and I felt so much guilt. Nonetheless, the one word I was able to form was the only word I needed to say. "Loki."

Loki smiled softly, and it almost wasn't there. He was happy, I knew, but one part of him wasn't. I could barely bring my view to Bucky. He was seemingly calm. I felt guilty as I smiled sympathetically, a non-verbal apology. Bucky was the first to rise, hugging me tightly.

"I will gladly accept that special spot in your heart, Y/N." He mumbled, kissing my cheek. I smiled, hugging him again.

As he left, Loki rose, rushing over to me. He hugged me even tighter than Bucky had, whispering his immortal gratitude in my ear. I giggled, blushing.

"Thank you so much. I know this was hard for you, and-"

"Shh." I smiled, pressing a finger to his lips. "I think I've done enough talking for now."
