Episode 15
Once you heard the door close behind Kylo, you force flung the glass teapot across the room. You heard it shatter, but didn't bother to look at the mess you'd made. Your vision went blurry as tears began to cover your eyes. Now that he was gone, there was nothing keeping you from seeming vulnerable. You didn't want to seem weak when Kylo was around because you still didn't trust him. Now that you'd heard your worst fear escape his lips, you trusted him even less.
There was almost no chance that Ben would ever come back.
Kylo had been trying for years without any progress, and because of you, Ben was gone forever.
The next thing to shatter was the tea cups. Their transparent, elegant frames crumbled against the cold wall.
The tears began to fall. The only sound was made by your tears softly hitting the metal floor. You let out a shout of anguish that was met by the skull splitting shriek of metal tearing and more shattering glass. You looked behind you to find that a jagged pattern was torn into the floor that pointed towards Kylo's hidden door.
*Kylo's P.O.V.*
Glass shattering.
Metal ripping.
An agonized scream.
He moved away from the door to his living quarters and stormed down the hall. He was terrified to admit it, but the dark side was building within (Y/n).
Regret was filling his body as he wandered aimlessly through the barren halls.
Why did I tell her that I was gone... Why do I keep telling her that I'm gone...
You are gone.
Nothing can destroy Kylo without destroying the remnants of Ben.
He shook his head clear of his conflicting thoughts and entered the nearest room and began hacking at the control panels, making them red with scars. He dragged his lightsaber through the walls furiously. He was enraged at himself for being so uselessly confused. He roared with frustration as he demolished the room. With every swing he took at the wall, he felt his inner conflict retreating back to where they could be ignored.
Suddenly, he felt a painful presence in the back of his mind.
Are you ready to reconsider your stance on training (Y/n)?
*Your P.O.V.*
As you took cautious steps towards the door, it was suddenly torn from it's hinges. It landed behind you, leaving the doorway open. Cold seeped out of the room, as if it were filled to the brim with ice. The melted mask still sat on it's pedestal, luring you towards it. As you stepped through the door frame, you looked around. The room was small, containing only the ash covered pedestal, the mask, and a small rack of clothes. Focusing on the mask, you reached your hand out and touched the forehead.
You'd expected something big, but you felt nothing. The sense of being reeled towards it was gone. Slowly, you pulled your hand back. You shrugged and turned around to leave. Standing in the door frame was Anakin Skywalker.
"Just a little heads up, you should probably fix the door before Kylo comes back." He said confidently. Unlike before, he wasn't getting uncomfortably close to you. He didn't seem hostile at all. If anything, he had the expression of an annoyingly cocky teenager.
"Why are you here?" You asked as calmly as you could.
"I thought that we'd gone over this. You have to help him."
"I'm assuming that you could hear us, so you should know what he told me. Ben is beyond recall." You walked through the door, and Anakin backed away to let you by.
"You see, one of the perks of being trained (and also dead) is that I know what's really going on in his mind." The boy tapped the side of his translucent head.
Now that he wasn't moving or disappearing, you could fully take in his appearance. His sandy hair was ruffled, and he, to your surprise, wasn't wearing the robes of a Jedi Master. He had an expression of confidence, his scar making him look rugged. He stood dauntlessly, as if he was ready to either fight or gloat. In his eyes, however, you sensed years of torment and pain. They held kindness and responsibility, but it felt as if it had taken him a very long time to gain these qualities.
"So, what you're saying is that Ben can be saved?" You asked.
"Exactly. I know that you can feel the good deep within him," as he spoke, you remembered the warm feeling that you'd gotten when Kylo had been reading your thoughts. "The point is, he can't do it on his own. You must help him. Draw the good back to the surface, stop the darkness from drowning Ben, and slowly, Kylo Ren will be the one that drowns."
"How am I supposed to do that?"
"Where's the fun in giving you all of the answers?" Anakin chuckled. "People have been brought back from the dark side before, but the success rate is pretty dismal. I know that you can figure this out. He's coming back here now, so you should probably clean up the mess that you've made. I'll be in touch when I can." He gave a slight wave and vanished into nothingness.
You quickly used the force to bend the door back into place and set it back into its frame. You swept up the shattered glass and did your best to smooth out the shredded floor.
You had just sat down on the bed when the door opened and Kylo entered the room. He removed his mask and set it down on a table, running his hand through his sweaty hair. He removed all clothes apart from a black top and pants before he even acknowledged you.
He reached into his robes and pulled out a metal cylinder. He held it out to you silently. You took it, feeling it's power.
A lightsaber.
"Go on, activate it," Kylo said, stepping back a good five feet.
You took a deep breath and activated it, but much to your shock, it wasn't a lightsaber. A tendril of (color) curled out from the handle, resting on the metal floor. You quickly deactivated it before it could do any real damage to the metal floor, which had begun melting on contact.
"It's a lightwhip." Kylo said unemotionally.
"Why are you giving this to me?" You asked quietly.
"I have to train you."
