Turning Point
I ran down the long white hallway, my hand tangled with Frisk's. If she tried to leave I wouldn't let her. The army marched behind us. "Plan?" Frisk asked. "No clue." I answered. "Guards ahead!" Frisk warned me. I pulled out my gun and shot twice. They crumpled down with a clash. At the end of the hallway was a large metal door. A monster came forward. "Through that door is the headquarters. Chara should be waiting." The Loox. "Thanks." I said arriving at the door. We stood getting our guns ready. "Run through the forest until you find the army's base. Tell them what's about to go down. Good luck." I said. "Farewell Frisk and Asriel." The monsters departed. When there was no one left and eerie silence I turned to Frisk. My ears rung. "Ready?" I asked her. She nodded. "One... Two... Three!" We burst through the door and ran into the unlit room. The air changed. It was cool but dry. It was so quiet I heard my own heart beating. I gave Frisk an unsure look. Silence passed until someone spoke. "So you found me." Chara said. "Well it won't be so easy leaving." The door swung shut. It clicked. Frisk ran over and tugged on the handle. She looked at me fear replacing bravery in her eyes. "Locked." "Then we go forward." I said. Frisk walked past me and into the dark. I followed her lead eventually catching up with her. I glanced at her movements and expression. "You're tense. Are you nervous?" I asked. "Are you not, Asriel!? We're trapped in a dark room and Chara could be nearby!" She said. "You're damn right about that." Chara's voice rang nearby. I spun on my heel and shot into the darkness. There was a ping and the bullet clanked against the ground. In Front of us yellow mist stared to spin in the air. It created a mini tornado-looking veil. Inside it a black silhouette formed and held their arms up. Frisk tilted her head to see what was happening. A prickle went up and back and my hair stood up. It felt like lightning was dancing through the air. I shrieked. "Frisk look out!" I tackled her to the ground and fell on top of her rolling across the tiles. Meanwhile above us yellow light shot straight forward and poisonous bullets spewed and shot everywhere. It died down and the light faded. I rolled into my back and pressed my arms against the turquoise tiles. I breathes heavily. My chest rises and lowered. "That was close." I sat up. My body ached from the impact and Frisk didn't look to hot either. She looked at me and gasped for air. "Thanks." She said. I helped Frisk up and looked around the room. "Here let me try something." I held out my palms and my hands started to tingle. I summoned fire that emerged from my palms. I guided the fire to the top of the room, the flames grew as they got higher. This took a lot of magic energy. I let my arms fall and fell over into Frisk's arms, sweaty. She struggled to catch me and support my weight. "Asriel you're so heavy!" Frisk strained. I breathed in and out and stumbled when I stood up. "I'm fine. I'll walk it off." I said. I brushed myself off and avoided my fatigue. I looked around the now lit room in awe. "So this is headquarters." The room had turquoise tiles and the walls were marble. At the end of the room was a staircase that went up two steps to a wooden table. Above it on the wall was the traitor symbol. An upside down Delta Rune. "You made it." Chara said suddenly appearing in a chair at the table. Her feet were kicked up on it and her arms were behind her head. Chara stood up and jumped off the step landing on one knee in front of us. I stumbled back almost crashing into Frisk. I gained my balance and stood up straight. "I've been waiting for you. I knew you'd be here soon. And Frisk almost sacrificed herself." Chara grinned demonically. I tried to look strong along with Frisk but we couldn't do it. My gut was tingling and my stomach dropped. I felt
sick. Locked in a room with Chara. "Do you both have a death wish? You ran into this base with no plan and you want to kill me?" Chara chuckled. "Well you aren't going to make it out alive if that's what you plan. Chara smiled and started to laugh. She raised her arms and started to lift off the ground. The air changed and the world became black, we were going into a serious battle.
