Communication is Key & Interupption
"You may all know that your mother and I's 25th anniversary is coming up and I've decided that we should go to a resort to celebrate." He started with a smile. "Plus it will be my gift to you and Elliot." He gestured towards Olivia who was nowhere near Elliot. "It would be great family time since it's almost your due date."
She stared at her father. "Dad, I don't think-"
"I think it's a brilliant idea!" Claire gushed as she clapped her hands together, interrupting Olivia.
"Wait-"
"Where are we going?" Odette asked, interrupting Olivia.
"The Breakers." Mark answered.
Their faces suddenly lit up knowing where their destination was, The Breakers was an extremely high class and expensive resort. The last time they had went to The Breakers was years ago before Olivia graduated high school, it was a special place for them.
Claire jumped up and hugged kissed her husband on he check. "It's going to be so much fun."
Olivia certainly did not want to go because she knew that she had to be attached to the hip with Elliot. It's been a couple of days since their fight and since then they've been avoiding each other as much as possible.
"Perfect, we're leaving tomorrow." Mark concluded with a smile on his face, he got up and walked out of the living room.
Everyone beamed with excitement while Elliot and Olivia sulked.

"Do you need help?" Elliot asked with his arms crossed over his chest, Olivia was sitting on top of her luggage that was clearly over packed.
"No, I'm fine." She quickly answered as she continued to put all her weight on her luggage so that she could zip it up.
He sighed. "You shouldn't be bending anyway, you're going to hurt Celeste." And with that he made his way to her and quickly zipped up the large luggage.
He was too quick for Olivia to protest. She got off the luggage once he was finished and glanced at him as he got up.
"Thanks." She mumbled.
"Sure." He replied, walking to the couch to go to sleep.
Olivia bite down on her bottom lip, trying her best to not say anything else to him. She climbed into the large bed and adjusted her position multiple times in order to feel comfortable, after doing that she let out a tired sigh.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Elliot got up to answer it. It was Claire.
"Hey honey." She greeted with a small smile on her face as she slowly made her way inside the room.
Olivia slowly got up. "Hey mom, what's up?"
"I just wanted to check upon you two." She looked around the room and stopped at the couch, noticing the blanket and pillows. "Have you been sleeping on the couch, dear?" She asked Elliot who was standing by the bed.
He hesitated to answer but he nodded anyway.
Claire raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?" She looked over at Olivia who remained still in her bed, not bothering to answer. "Are you two fighting?"
Elliot shook his head. "It's just more room for Olivia, Mama Claire."
She raised her eyebrow once again. "You've never called her Olivia." She stated, now crossing her arms over her chest. "This must be serious."
Olivia sighed. "Mom, we're not fighting."
"Oh honey, I know you two very well so you cannot lie to me." She smiled sweetly. "Going to the resort will be perfect for you two! Rekindle the fire, you know."
Elliot forced a smile on his face. "Sure, Mama Claire."
She smiled at the both of them. "What I've learned being married to your father is that communication is key."
Olivia nodded. "Yes, mom."
"And to never-"
"Look, I'm really tired and we have a long day tomorrow." Olivia interrupted her and smiled sadly. "But thanks mom."
She was taken back her daughter's sudden interruption but she brushed it off and nodded. "Sorry, honey. Goodnight you two." And with that she walked towards the door but before leaving she blew them a kiss then she shut the door gently behind her.
Elliot sighed. "She's really trying, Olivia." He muttered quietly with a sad look.
She ignored his comment and laid down once again, closing her eyes.
