James & Jade
"Hey preggo!" Odette greeted happily as they entered her home. She was in the kitchen, making food while her children ran around the house.
"Is that my new nickname or something?" Olivia groaned, she was feeling much better after napping in that bumpy car ride.
Elliot grinned at the sound of the nickname as he walked closely beside Olivia.
"Auntie Liv! You don't look so good." Jade frowned as she stopped to look at her.
Olivia smiled weakly and opened her arms wide waiting for a hug.
She grinned and ran towards her, hugging her tightly.
"Be careful, sweetie. Auntie Liv is feeling a little sick." Elliot told her in a kind tone.
Jade nodded and loosen her grip. She then let go and gestured for Elliot to bend down so she could greet him as well.
He bent down and hugged her tight as she kissed his cheek.
"I'm so happy for you." She gushed. "I can't wait to have a cousin! I hope she's a girl because I'm sick of James."
Elliot laughed, pulling away from Jade so he could see the excitement on her face. "I hope we have a girl too."
Olivia suddenly felt her heart race from happiness as she heard Elliot speak about the child inside of her. She sat down on the couch as James made his way beside her.
"Hey auntie Liv." He greeted as he munched on a baby carrot.
She kissed the top of his head and smiled.
Riley joined Odette in the kitchen and was helping her prepare food.
Elliot joined Olivia onto the couch and showed her the book Riley had given him in the car. She took it from his hands and read the title.
"Oh." Was all that left her mouth. She then opened it and scanned a page, nodding at the interesting information.
"Would it be helpful if I read it?" He whispered into her ear so that James and Jade couldn't hear.
"It's a gift from your sister, read it."
He nodded. His eyes examined her to see if she was still sick. "Do you need to go home?"
"Look at you being so caring."
He popped his non existent collar while a smug smirk formed on his lips. "Total boyfriend material."
"Oh you wish." She laughed lightly.
"I don't need to, honey. I can get all the girls I want without trying."
She cocked an eyebrow at his exaggerated confidence. "So then why was your last date 6 years ago if you're such a ladies man?"
He let out a nervous cough and scanned his mind for a good comeback. "I'm just waiting for the perfect time." He lied, it was true his last date was in high school. Elliot just gave up on dates.
She rolled her eyes.
"Wait, you and Auntie Liv haven't gone on a date yet?" James questioned as he titled his head. He was always the one to be curious.
They both looked at each other, hoping that one of them would speak up.
Jade then quickly got up and ran towards the kitchen.
"No, we've gone on dates before. It's just-" Elliot answered but was interrupted when Odette interrupted.
"It's complicated." She said as her hands held a platter filled with fruits.
Elliot and Olivia nodded vigorously bur unsure as to why they were agreeing.
"What does complicated mean?" James asked.
Odette set the platter of fruit down onto the table and sat down onto the arm of the couch beside Olivia.
"It means that it's not simple." Riley answered as she walked into the kitchen with a glass of water in her hand.
"How is it not simple? Aren't Aunite Liv and Uncle Elliot together? Why haven't they gone on dates?"
Elliot then stuffed his face with fruit so that he wouldn't have to answer his many questions. Olivia quickly glanced over at him in annoyance.
They were all suddenly looking at her, waiting for her answer.
"Well, the thing is James. Your uncle Elliot and I have been best friends for our whole life's and we hang out a lot so once we became a couple we didn't consider our hang outs dates because we're used to it." She finally answered, satisfied with her answer.
Elliot nodded, agreeing with her answer hoping that he questions would stop.
"Go on a date!" Jade exclaimed with excitement as she clapped her hands together.
Their eyes grew slightly larger at the thought of going on a date with one another.
"I totally agree with that." Odette smiled as she nudged her little sister.
"How about James and Jade plan your first date." Riley suddenly brought up with a grin.
Jade jumped and with excitement. "Yes! Me and James always help daddy plan his dates with mommy! Now we can help you."
"That would be nice." Odette added as she reached for a slice of apple.
"Umm, I don't know." Olivia bite down on her bottom lip, suddenly feeling nervous about going on a date with Elliot.
"Oh come on, Liv. They actually come up with good ideas." Odette coaxed while munching on an apple.
"Sounds like a good idea to me." Elliot smiled, seeing the reaction on Olivia's face.
James and Jade beamed with happiness, they then took both of Elliot's hands and yanked him towards the stairs. He followed with an unsure look on his face.
Once they were gone Odette moved to Elliot's spot. "How are you feeling?" She asked Olivia who was now closing her eyes.
She shrugged. "I've just been really sick and tired lately."
"That's what being pregnant does to you."
Olivia sighed and remained still, she was slowly falling asleep.
"So when are you two getting married?" Odette asked, she adjusted her flower printed dress and smiled.
Her eyes shot open once she asked that. "What makes you think that we're going to get married?"
Odette cocked an eyebrow. "You do know that mom and dad really want you guys to get married."
Riley was quietly listening while she typed away on her phone.
Olivia shrugged, not knowing what to say. She changed her position so that her head was resting on Odette's shoulder.
"If I could choose anyone for you it would be Elliot."
Riley fist pumped happily, agreeing with Odette. "You two are perfect for each other." She added.
Olivia never thought that her and Elliot would be a great couple, they've been best friends for a long time and she's never looked at him as a potential boyfriend. It was just too weird.
Suddenly James and Jade ran down the stairs with Elliot behind them.
"We're finished!" Jade grinned as she made her way towards Olivia.
She opened her eyes and straighten her position, a smile formed on her face once she saw the excitement on their faces. "What's the plan?"
"You're just going to have to see tomorrow." James smirked, he had a smug look on his face.
Elliot chuckled and sighed. "I didn't know these kids could have such great date ideas."
She looked up at Elliot and smiled. Excitement suddenly rising up inside her too, although Olivia had gone on many dates already she couldn't wait for this one.
