1. Finding out
I was scrolling through my instagram feed and reading all the lovely comments my brother's fans leave on my pictures. They write things like:
"You're so gorgeous"
"I wish I looked like you"
"Hope you have fun"
And other adorable messages like that. Oh I almost forgot to tell you, I'm Shawn Mendes' twin sister. Sophie Mendes. I have black curly hair the same as him with chocolate brown eyes. Being his sister has it's perks though. I sometimes get to travel around the country and occasionally get to meet other famous people. I've met the whole 12/12 of the old magcon and saved a few of their numbers too. I've also met Bea Miller too, we are really close friends now. She's super sweet.
"Soph, I need to talk to you." Shawn knocked on my door before entering.
"What's up?" I locked my phone and stared up at him, crossing my legs on my bed.
"Well I asked mom and my manager and guess what?" He spread a wide smile across his cheeks.
"We're having chicken wings for dinner?" I asked. I have an unhealthy obsession with chicken wings okay. It's not normal.
"Yes but that's not what I wanted to tell you." He sat on the edge of my bed. "You get to come on tour with me."
"What?" I screamed. "OMG SHAWN." The biggest smile spread across my face. I'd always wanted to go on tour with my brother, so I could travel around the country and actually spend time with him. We're quite close but he's always busy recording or performing or at interviews, so we don't spend a lot of time together.
"That's not the best part." He continued. "You know you said you always wanted to visit New York?"
"Yeah"
"We can. Straight after the tour we get to meet up with magcon in New York and we can hang out for a full weekend." He finished and I literally threw my arms around him.
"Oh my god it's official. You are the best big brother ever." I screamed into his ear while hugging him. Even though we are the exact same age, I still call him my big brother because he's so much taller than me.
"Calm down Soph. I don't want to be deaf before we leave." He chuckled and I mouthed 'sorry' as I released him.
"When do we leave?" I asked more calmly now. Although I was still exploding inside!
"Tour starts next Friday so we'll probably leave Thursday. Our first stop is Florida." He smiled before leaving. I jumped up and down with excitement before sending a tweet
"@SophMendes: I'm super excited to be going on tour with @ShawnMendes best bro ever."
I read the replies that came flooding it.
"@Mendesoriginal: @SophMendes Yay. I can't wait to meet you :) and Shawn."
"@SophMendes: @Mendesoriginal you too :)"
"@EllieDeming: Don't forget to update your vlog ;) Favourite part of Monday. @SophMendes"
"@SophMendes: @EllieDeming i could never forget that :) <3 I'll do a tour update with Shawn ;)"
"@EllieDeming: OMG SOPHIE ASDFGHJKL. @SophMendes You replied, omg I'm crying. ily"
After replying to a few more tweets and after I had eaten dinner, I decided to fall asleep. Until my phone buzzed and I got infatuated with my brother's tweet.
"@ShawnMendes: Can't wait to tour with my sister @SophMendes. I've got a surprise guest traveling with us. Can you guess who it is? ;)"
I scanned through the replies from his fans before I decided to reply to his tweet.
"@SophMendes: @ShawnMendes omg you invited Niall Horan without telling me? :O ;)"
"@ShawnMendes: @SophMenndes haha not exactly ;) "
"@SophMendes: @ShawnMendes :( I can still meet him in my dreams ;)"
"@ShawnMendes: @SophMendes you do that"
That's where our conversation ended. We literally spoke online when we're in the same house, in rooms right next to each other. Yup, this is basically our sibling relationship!

Heyyy! Hope you liked the first chapter. There hasn't been any Reed yet but trust me there will be a lot coming up ;) Just give it time. They will meet. Reed is alive in this story I swear.
