Chapter 24
Tobias' POV
I can't sleep. The images keep running through my mind, keeping me from being able to close my eyes for long periods of time. Tris is snuggled into my side, her right leg wrapped around my waist, along with her right arm, using my chest as a pillow. She was too tired to think about what's going on, judging by the way she was last night.
I can tell that Caleb is having a hard time sleep too, the squeaks of his mattress giving him away every time he moves. I'm sure the rest of the erudite are the same way.
I start to feel tris move around, her trembling hands clutching at the sheets on top of my bare chest. I quickly sit up as she yells, "No!"
I shake her shoulders, yelling incoherent nonsense to try an wake her up. She doesn't seem to hear me as she keeps moving around.
I hear the door open behind me and Caleb's muffled yells. I'm not sure if he's more worried about tris or the fact that I don't have a shirt on.
Tris gasps, immediately locking eyes with me before wrapping her arms around my neck and crying into my bare shoulder. I wrap my arms around her, rubbing the small of her back in slow circles.
"I'm here." I whisper in her ear and her sobs start to quiet down, eventually dulling down to sniffs.
"Are you alright, Beatrice?" Caleb asks.
Dumb question. (A/n; He did a dumb)
"What do you think? It's not like I don't have a family to worry about with the attack!" She snaps but quickly calms down, "sorry, I'm just worried. And I had a dream about Teigon getting taken away and it's just too much for me to handle right now."
"It's alright, I shouldn't have asked that." Caleb says while looking down, his hands in his pockets.
Tris gets out of my grasp and stands up. It's only then that all three of us realize that she's only wearing one of shirts that barely goes past her butt. She starts to blush and Caleb awkwardly looks away.
"I'll be leaving." Caleb says and turns around, walking out the door.
Tris turns around and looks at me with her crimson red cheeks and a small, fake smile that you do when you're embarrassed. I just laugh and wave her back to me, which she does.
I grab her and pull her on top of me, so she's laying fully on my body, her chin resting in the crook of my neck and our legs tangled together. I push her hair away from her neck and leave a trail of light kisses up her neck, making my way up to the soft spot behind her ear.
When I kiss her behind her ear, I hear her sigh and relax a bit more. I take that as a sign to keep going.
I lightly trail my fingers up her leg, over her butt, around the small of her back. As I move my fingers up her back, her shirt tangles around my arm, pretty much off when I reach the top of her neck. I untangle my arm from her shirt, drawing circles on her bare back with my fingers.
Tris sighs again, this time lifting her head and kissing me gently on the lips. The tingling sensation spreading from my lips to the tips of my fingers. I bring my hands up and grab her cheeks, deepening the kiss.
There is no sexual tension in the air. Only passion and love. No need for sex, no need to ruin a special moment with a sexual drive. Especially with her brother across the hall.
She pulls away just enough to let her lips brush against mine as she talks.
"Have you even slept?" She whispers, resting her forehead on mine.
"No." I whisper back.
"Sleep, baby, sleep."
And I do.

The next morning I wake up and turn, my eyes still closed, to grab tris and hold her in my arms. When I reach out, I feel an empty sheet and a slight crinkle. I open my eyes and find a note, it has tris' handwriting.
"I'm sorry."

So...it's been almost two months...and I'm sorry. I've done lots of dumbs and haven't been braining very well lately. And it doesn't help that I had a friend betray me, leaving my with no friends that are girls to hang out with at school. Only guys. Yippee right? At least the guys treat me well, and not like a piece of garbage. Lol, sorry for taking forever. Like and comment as you please. Love you initiates!

ANOTHER THING: while I was "gone", I went to the Ellie Goulding concert!!! That's how I found out about broods, as they were there, along with Bebe Rexah! shastazz also went, but in a different state XD. Btw, we snuck into Vip seats that were triple the amount of the tickets we bought, and it was all my dads idea😂...
