Chapter 22
Tris' POV
My eyes grow wide. The shock is eating me away, taking away my surroundings, focusing on the one picture. A person outside of the flaming main building of erudite, dressed in black from head to toe and holding a gun in his left hand. The hood of their jacket is up and they have a mask on, not a single bit of skin exposed. A sign is at their feet, the numbers '666' are written in red, standing out against the white background of the sign. A hand on my shoulder snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Tris, this happened 10 minutes ago, we need to get to erudite. Teigon is with Shauna and Zeke's and we already have someone watching the initiates. Now come on, we need to get our jackets and weapons." Tobias says in a hurry, a stern look on his face, but eyes still soft.
I nod and we start running towards our apartment. We push people out of the way as we run, making sure we're quick. We get to our door and unlock it, immediately running to our room, grabbing our jackets. We put them on and grab two guns and amo for each of us, putting them in our belt holster.
I grab some throwing knives and a small first aid kit that fits in my jacket pocket before we run out of the door and to the trains. There's snow covering the grass, the cement luckily melted of snow for now. We run to the train tracks and wait good two minutes, catching our breath, before the train comes and we jump on.
"Tris. You haven't said a thing since you saw the picture, I'm getting a little worried." Tobias says once we get on the train.
"Sorry, I'm just taking everything in. I wonder if Caleb's okay, or Cara. They could've been in the building when whatever it is that happened, happened." I say and look into his eyes.
"It was a bomb, Gus told me. 666 blew up apart of the erudite main building and we need to take them in." He says and I nod, resting my head against the cold train wall.
I see a hint of flame out the door and quickly walk over to the door, holding the handle so I don't fall. It's the Erudite building. There are dauntless everywhere, mixed in with all of the erudite who are evacuating the building, plenty of them scrambling around outside already.
"It's time to jump." I say to Tobias as the train get's closer to the building.
We both back up and run, jumping at the same time, both landing with a thud. We start running towards them. A dauntless member runs up to us, silently leading us through the crowd to get to the building.
Tobias is in front of me as we weave through the crowd, the man leading us is in front of him. While walking past a crowd of erudite, one grabs my shoulder. I whip my head around to see Caleb, his hair tossed around a little and a few smoke stains on his blue dress shirt, other then that there are no injuries.
"Oh my gosh, Caleb!" I say and hug him briefly.
"Beatrice, what are you doing here? Why aren't you with Four? Did he leave you?" He says it quickly and I roll my eyes.
"I'm a dauntless leader, and dauntless are the protectors of this city, so we need to get people out of that building, which means I'm going in. And Four is already in the building, we did not split up." I say and he nods.
"Wait, Your going in the building? Are you crazy?" he says as I'm running towards it.
"Crazy=Genius!" I yell back before I push open the doors to the building, immediately getting hit by a wave of heat, the flames coming from the staircase about ten feet away from me.
Tobias is leading erudites out of the building safely on the other side of the building, pointing in the direction of the doors I just came from. I decide to hold the doors open, as the erudite run out of the building, keeping my hand raised to signal that they exit over here.
The noise of screams and cries floods my ears, almost making them ring. The flames crackle fills the background noise, the flames slowly going out as the water sprays from the spouts on the ceilings. What could've triggered someone to do something like this?

I updated! I finally got my medicine and I'm slowly getting better, especially with having this week off of school.
