Chapter 15
Tris' POV
The initiates come today. Which makes Teigon 5 months old and adorable as ever. He can sit up on his own and can almost crawl, considering his leg is partially fake. But he's also a bit young to be crawling.
We dropped him off at Zeke and Shaunas, they want to be ready for the future when they have kids, so it all works out perfectly.
Right now, Tobias and I are making our way to the choosing ceremony. I wanted to go this year, so we are. We're on a Train full of dauntless also headed there and I'm grasping onto Tobias' hand, making sure I don't lose him.
"Hey, they're about to jump." Tobias says and I nod, letting go of his hand to be ready. The dauntless start jumping and I go to a gap where I can run and jump. I run and when I jump it feels like in flying, until I land on the hill and slip onto my butt.
Tobias comes walking over to me from where he jumped, laughing a little. He sticks out a hand and I grab it, getting up.
"So, how was your landing." He asks and I punch his arm and laugh.
"Just great."
We walk to the doors, ignoring the stares we get. Faction leaders that go are supposed to go in before any of the members, so that's just what we do.
When we walk through the doors, we try not to be seen by my dad, since I want to surprise him. We make our way to the back of the room, watching as him and Caleb talk. I signal for Tobias to stay and get on my hands and knees. I crawls down the aisles, hiding behind the chairs as I zig-zag down the auditorium seats. By the time I make it to the row before my dad and Caleb, people are trickling in. I'm crouching behind the chairs that they're in front of.
One...two....three!
I pounce up over the chairs and let out a little scream. Both of them jump and Caleb yells a little.
"Beatrice!" Dad wheezes out. "I thought someone was going to murder us. I was about ready to push Caleb out of the way." He says and I laugh more then I was before.
While laughing I give them both hugs.
"Nice to see you both again too." When I pull away from my dad, I see Tobias making his way through the crowd of 16 year olds with their families trying to find seats.
He finally makes it to us and grabs my hand, kissing my forehead. "Nice scare." He says to the three of us and I laugh while Caleb glares at him.
"Hello Four." Dad says and nods.
Tobias grins and nods back.
"Well, I have to go. The ceremony is about to start and I am the one announcing everyone this year." Caleb says and we all go our separate ways into the crowd.

The ceremony is almost over, and if Tobias and I want to make it on the train before the one the initiates take, we have to go now. So we do. We get up and try not to get too much attention.
We go through the doors and immediately start running. My heart pumps with adrenaline, and I'm smiling. We run outside and the air hits my face with a cool breeze, but not cold enough to be bothersome, although it should snow sometime soon.
We get to the train tracks and stop, to wait a little bit before the train comes, which isn't long.
The train makes its way toward us and I start running, Tobias is front of me. We job for a few seconds before Tobias jumps in, me going in a few seconds later.
"How many transfer initiates did you see?" I ask Tobias while catching my breath.
"Around 9." He says and sit down, leaning against the wall.
I smirk and go over to him, straddling his lap. He smirks back, remembering the last time I did this, when I was sixteen. 4 years ago.
He leans in and we kiss, our lips gentle, but not barely touching. His hand goes to my back and pulls me closer to him, our bodies pressed against eachother with no room between us. I smile into the kiss, causing him to do the same thing. He pulls back and looks out the door, his eyes filling with disappointment.
"I'm afraid we have to get off now."
We get up and he grabs my hand, giving it a squeeze.
We looks at eachother in the eye, signaling to go. We look back and run before jumping. Our hands let go while in the air and we both land on our feet onto the gravel roof.
We go to the roof and he looks at me.
"Could we go together?" He asks and swallows.
"Of course. Come on." I say and get on the ledge.
He gets on next to me and grabs my hand, squeezing it harder than usual.
"Ready?" I ask and he nods.
I bend my knees and we jump, the air blows our clothes to our backs. Before we know it, we hit the net, the air getting knocked out of me.
I let out a laugh while Tobias climbs over me to get off the net, landing on his feet and stumbling a little bit. I start moving towards the edge of the net and sit on the edge.
I look down into Tobias' dark blue eyes and smile. He smiles back up at me and sets his arms on my thighs, leaning a little against me. Before I know it though, I'm getting picked up by the waist and put over his shoulder.
"Four!" I screech before laughing a little.
He laughs before setting me down and locking his lips on mine.
I'm going to like this initiation.
