Chapter 4 (tobias)
Tris' POV
Right now Tobias,Teigon, and I are on a train to erudite.
We are going to erudite early so we can let Caleb meet Teigon. Although last time I talked to Caleb he was rude, he still deserves to meet his nephew.
"Hey tris, we need to jump now." Four says and takes his arm off from around me, getting up and helping me up with my free hand. Teigon is in my other arm, asleep.
I hold Teigon close to me and when it's time I jump. I feel like I'm flying, without a worry in the world. When I land I come back to reality and I see Tobias walking over to me.
"You ready for Caleb?" He asks and grins a little, putting his hand on the small of my back.
I nod, "Yeah, I just don't want him to freak out. You know how he can be."
He nods and chuckles a little and I crack a smile.
I grab his hand and we walk in a comfortable silence to erudite a main apartment building.
Right before we enter the doors Teigon wakes up and his beautiful eyes look into mine. I smile a little and we walk in.
We walk to the front desk and I hand Teigon off to Tobias who cradles him in his arms.
"Excuse me." I say to the front desk and she holds up a finger, only paying attention to her screen.
"Excuse me!"I say a little bit louder and harsher and that gets her to look up.
When she's sees me her eyes pop out of her head. Either it's because I'm dauntless, a leader, or both.
"Yes ma'am, sorry about that. What do you need." She asks, straitening her posture and look me in the eyes with a little bit of fear.
"I would like to know the number of Caleb Priors apartment."
She nods and gets typing on her computer. "He is in....apartment 34b. The elevator is right across the hall from you and the stairs are to the left of it." She says and I nod.
I look back at Tobias and he has a smirk on while he looks at me.
"I like this whole six thing you have going on right now..." He says and trails off.
I smile and grab his hand again, heading to the stairs.
"Why thank you. Oh! When are the next initiates coming again?" I ask.
"In a few months, we will just need to find out what to do with Teigon."
Once we stop talking we are already up the stairs and just got to calebs door.
Here goes nothing. I knock on the door and a few seconds later Caleb answers with his hair combed neatly and his suit all blue.
"Beatrice..." He says, his eyes going wide.
"Tris." I say.
When he looks at four his eyes go wide. But when he looks at Teigon he looks as if he could faint.
"Wha....I...um..." He clears his throat. "Well I see you gave birth."
"Yes, just last week."
"Why didn't anyone tell me?" He asks and looks almost hurt.
"We just did." I say and he finally lets us in.
"Why not earlier."
"Because you decided to be mad about it and be rude about the fact that I was pregnant in the first place. That doesn't earn you anything nice."
He just rolls his eyes then looks back at Teigon who is staring at Caleb with his beautiful eyes full of curiosity.
"His eyes..." Caleb says quietly and trails off.
"Do you want to hold him?" Tobias asks Caleb and his head snaps up, nodding.
Tobias passes Teigon to Caleb carefully, making sure his head is supported.
"He's handsome." Caleb says.
Tobias pulls me towards him and to his side, holding onto my waist. We are both smiling a little at Caleb as he stares at Teigon.
"I'm sorry." Caleb says so abruptly that I almost jump.
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I was a jerk about your decision to have a child. And I'm sorry about that. You two are clearly responsible enough for this and I respect it." Woah.
"Well thanks, I guess." I say and Tobias nods.
"Well we need to get to a doctors appointment." Tobias says and I nod.
With that Caleb hands Teigon to me and walks us out the door.
"Thank you for letting me meet Teigon." Caleb says and that's the last thing I hear from him before he shits the door and we walk off.
"That was better then I expected." Tobias says and I laugh a little.
"Yeah it was."
As we walk to the hospital part of erudite almost everyone looks at us. Guys we are dauntless not serial killers. Well...not most of us anyways.
We finally get to the hospital and I sit down while Tobias checks us in. As I look around I see people from all factions around, this is the most advanced hospital.
My eyes lock with an amity and I immediately recognize him. Robert.
His eyes widen when he sees Teigon and his jaw drops.
"Beatrice..." He says and walks over to me.
"It's tris." I say and grin, standing up.
"How have you been?" He asks and keeps glancing at Teigon.
"I've been good. And before you ask this is Teigon, Four and I's son." Teigon looks at Robert.
"Oh, wow....um. Congrats." He says and right then Tobias comes over.
"Hey, I checked him in. Robert." Tobias says to me but at Robert in the end, nodding his head.
"Four." Robert says and stiffens a little.
"So what brings you here Robert?" I ask to break the weird silence.
"I think I may have torn a muscle while reaching for an apple on a tree so I'm getting it checked out. What about you two?"
"Just a check up for Teigon." I say. I really don't want to go into detail so that's a good enough excuse.
He nods and right then a nurse calls out "tris."
I wave bye to Robert with my free hand and four and I walk with the nurse to a room.
"Ok what seams to be the problem?"the nurse asks once we sit down.
"Well we're not sure if newborns are supposed to have tears when they cry or not but he doesn't and we just wanted to get it checked out." Tobias says and I nod.
"Ok. Well newborns aren't supposed to have tears when they cry yet but we can get him checked out just in case." She says and we nod.
I set Teigon onto the little table and hold his hand, so I can make sure he doesn't fall.
The nurse takes a needle and cleans Teigons arm.
"Okay. So this needle is different from others. It doesn't hurt, it has the tip made in such a way that it will feel like a mosquito bite, meaning you will feel nothing. So don't worry about your son crying." She says and I nod.
Teigon looks at me and she puts the needle into his arm, drawing some blood into the tube.
And the whole time Teigon didn't make a noise. It worked.
She finishes and puts a bandage onto where the needle was.
"I will go get this tested and bring it back to you in a bit." She says and leaves just like that.
"Do you think Teigon is fine?" I ask Tobias and look into his eyes.
"Probably. I just hope if he isn't it isn't anything serious."
I nod. "Yeah, I agree with you."
"We have the results." The nurse says coming in. That didn't take long.
"So there is, in fact, something wrong. But it isn't anything major. Teigons tear ducts have a hard time producing tears, only barely enough to cover the eye. So he will most likely never cry most of his life. You should bring eye drops with you just in case he ever has abnormally dry eyes. Other then that he is perfectly healthy." The nurse says and I nod a little.
My little one may never cry tears of joy or sadness in his life.

Hey guys I'm very sorry for taking so long to update. I had a little bit of writers block while writing this and I have missing homework in a few classes that is still not done. But I updated! I probably won't get and update in this week end because I'm going to the I heart radio music festival so I won't be home and next weekend I'm going to comic con, but I will try to update during the week next week.
