"Why can't we play it?" Luke bugged Stevie.

She had just woken up from a nap. Luke was very bored the whole time. He didn't want to listen to music or watch a movie. He just patiently waited for Stevie to wake up so he could talk to her. That's all he wanted to do: talk to her.

When she had finally woken up she was in a grungy mood. Not wanting to do anything besides listen to music. But Luke knew once they arrived at Coachella there'd be a small chance of him seeing her again.

They weren't "friends" so they had no reason to hang out. Luke didn't even know if Stevie had a boy friend who she'd meet up with when she got there. He didn't really know anything about her, and that's what he was trying to change.

"I don't want to." Stevie stubbornly replied. She had her mind set. She didn't want to give in.

"Why not?" Luke exclaimed. He didn't think it was as big of a deal as Stevie was making it.

"I just don't want to."

"Give me a good fucking reason!" Luke almost shouted, causing him go instantly regret it. He didn't mean to get that mad.

"I'll say something that I don't want to." Stevie finally admitted. At parties that's always what ended up happening. And Stevie wasn't a good liar, if she tried to lie about the truth people would call her out on it.

"Well then don't answer questions you don't want to." Luke stated laughing at Stevie because that was the reason she didn't want to play the game.

"But then it's not 21 Questions..." Stevie trailed off, surprised that Luke would give her the opportunity not to answer. She scratched her head. It wasn't itchy just a nervous habit she had. She looked over at Luke who was tapping his fingers along the arm rest. She assumed he was thinking about something, or at least that's what it looked like.

"Well it doesn't have to be that version of the game. It can be our version, Luvie's version." Luke smiled triumphantly at Stevie. He'd been trying to combine their names for some time now but nothing really sounded good.

"Lubey? As in lube that is used-"

"No idiot. Luuuvieeee. Like our names combined." Luke was embarrassed that Stevie didn't catch on. Nevertheless even more ashamed that she had brought up sex and he changed the topic.

"That's lame." She told him. She honestly hated it when couples blenders their names together. It wasn't like Luke and her were a couple but the idea in general made her stomach churn. Plus their 'couple name' sounded more like a sex aid than anything else. "How are you supposed to spell that anyways?"

"L-U-V-I-E."

"That sounds like lOvie." Stevie remarked.

"Well the Lu is supposed to be like Lou instead of Luh." Luke told her.

Stevie laughed, Luke had really thought all of this through. "I still think the name is lame, but I'll play."

"Do you want to ask first?" Luke asked her. Stevie was unsure of exactly what to ask. Was it supposed to be personal intimate questions or just generic ones. She thought it'd be best to let Luke start.

"No it's fine, go ahead."

"Where are you from?" He asked her, he really was curious. He didn't know if she was a Californian native or she'd just come for the festival like a lot of people did.

"Born and raised in The City of Angels." Stevie proudly said. She was happy by his question. It wasn't over the top extreme and personal.

"What's your favourite colour?" She asked not wanting to repeat the same question he asked her. She could tell by his accent he wasn't from around here. She assumed he was either from New Zealand or Australia but wanted to change things up a bit. She could always ask him later.

"Black." He replied.

"That's not even a colour." Stevie stated. It was a bit of an 'assholey' statement but she didn't mind being honest about small things like that with Luke.

"Oh no. You're one of those fucking people." Luke sighed. He was leaning against the window now so he was completely facing her whereas Stevie was still facing forward every so often turning her heard to the left to look at Luke.

"What people?"

"The ones who nitpick everything." Luke spat out. He looked frustrated, Stevie wasn't sure what was going on in his mind.

"Why is black your favourite colour?" Stevie ignored Luke trying to get the conversation back on track and not making Luke upset.

"Because it's the same colour as my heart."

"Luke, your heart's not black." Stevie shook her head. She knew by his voice that Luke was serious. Something told her that he truly believed he had a black heart.

"How would you know?" He asked her more sympathetically than other emotion. Anger and hurt weren't in his voice at all.

"I just do."
