Good Guys Hardly Ever Come Along - {Ashton}

[A/N: Okay, honestly this title sucks soooo much, but bare with me. I'm still trying to heal from this stupid concussion lmao]

***

You and Ashton were attending a party at a spacious house. There were hundreds of people there, and twice as much of bottled beers scattered around the whole place.

The two of you had drove there together and he seemed a bit reluctant to go. He didn't want you to end up doing something you'd regret at this party.

You walked into the party, Ashton close behind you. The music was blasting, and people were dancing along. Red solo cups were in practically everyone's hands, and the entire room had the horrible aroma of alcohol and cigars.

You rubbed your arm, becoming a bit nervous of the atmosphere. You had only been to a few parties in your entire lifetime, and the majority of them were birthday parties with a man in a Barney suit. But this? This was new to you.

Ashton watched you. "You okay?"

You looked up at him and only nodded, then you begin to half-smile as you noticed your three closest friends heading towards you.

They came over and hugged you, and awkwardly waved to Ashton. He didn't really like these three friends of yours, only because they pressured you into a lot of things in the past. But being at a party with them? That was the worst case scenario.

"You should come upstairs. They're playing Beer Pong," one of your friends smiled, grabbing your arm without hesitation.

Before you could even say goodbye to Ash, they had already split the two of you up.

They were yanking you up the stairs in excitement and mischief. One of them turned around and smiled, "Loosen up a bit!"

You took in a deep breath, and giggled. It's not like it was bad to have a little fun...

                          ***********

After a few rounds of beer pong, you couldn't deny that you were 110% wasted. You and your friends stumbled around the upper half of the house, playing x-rated games, and dancing like you never danced before.

You were the giggle-freak of the night. Anything was funny, even if you saw someone just standing and looking around awkwardly, you'd burst into laughter without proper cause.

You headed over to a cooler and grabbed a drink without care. Your friends cheered you on as you snapped open a beer bottle with your teeth and began gulping it down as if it were water.

You scrunched up your face after you finished, then raised your bottle in the air after you were done.

You had never partied like this before, and you were sure you had never consumed this much alcohol neither.

You began to feel light headed, and the heels you were in felt as if they were made out of cardboard and a toothpick. You wobbled around, eyesight hazy and stomach gurgling. You fell down onto the floor roughly.

"Y/N!" your friends shouted, running over to you.

They rolled you on your back and tapped your cheeks to wake you up. Your eyes wandered around the ceiling above you, and you smiled at the space. You giggled for no reason again, the tickling in your sides causing all of it.

Except, no one was tickling you. You were a bit---a lot over your limit and you couldn't probably answer a simple question if you were asked.

All of a sudden, your friends quit hovering over you, and looked in the direction behind you, as you still lied on the floor, acting like you had lost your mind in it's entirety. It was Ash, running up the stairs and over to you. His friends were following behind.

He kneeled down and took a good look at you. "Oh, shit." he mumbled.

He threw your arms over his shoulder and helped you up from the floor.

"I love you, Ashton," you slurred your words, rubbing your cold lips on his left cheek.

You could hear the deep giggles from his chest as his cheeks turned beet red. "I love you too,"

He helped you down the stairs, your head dangling after each and every step. After you said goodbye to your friends and Ashton said goodbye to his, the two of you walked out to his car.

With your arms still wrapped around his neck, he opened the passenger's seat door, and sat you down. Your head kept leaning all around and you couldn't see anything. Not even Ashton's face as he shut the door.

He walked around to the other side and got in, starting the car up.

As he began to drive, you turned on the radio and put it on a random station. You turned up the volume a little and sang horribly along with the song you knew nothing about, that just so happened to be playing on the radio.

Ashton took quick glances of you as he drove on the empty road, and he couldn't help but to laugh at you. He wasn't entirely drunk, but he may have had a few drinks.

You howled along to the song being played on the radio, and it killed a bit of time. Before you knew it, you were parked in front of your small home. Ash got out and opened the door for you, grunting as he threw you over his shoulder again.

"Ash, I really, really, really like your hair," you said out of the blue, as he helped you up to the front door. You ran your fingers through his soft, dirty blonde hair and smiled like a child.

He used your key and opened the door, letting the two of you in. He took off your heels for you, and walked you to your room, and sitting you on the edge of your bed. He went over to your closet and picked out some sleeping clothes for you.

You could barely sit up straight. You were just too far gone.

He came over to you and helped remove your tight dress that you had on, then he slid you into some sweatpants and an overlarge T-shirt---the second one he had left over your house after spending the night.

He took off your jewelry, and he put your hair up for you, and he even helped remove your makeup. He did all of it without saying a word. His hazel eyes spoke for him.

After all of that, you began to feel queasy. "Mmm," you mumbled, holding your breath.

After he changed into something more comfortable, he noticed you looking as if you were about to vomit all over the place.

He ran you to the bathroom as you released all that you had drank tonight. His large hands rubbed in a circular motion on your back as you sat on your knees, hovering over the toilet.

"Gosh... did you drink a whole ocean?" Ashton gagged, turning his head away from your mess.

You wiped your mouth with a towel he handed to you and flushed the toilet.

"You should brush your teeth," he laughed at you.

And you did; Once you were all ready for bed, you lied down next to him.

"I wanna watch cartoons," you muffled into your pillow as Ashton scrolled on his phone.

"Well, if you say so..."

He turned on the television in your room and you watched Looney Toons, blinking slowly. He sat his phone down and lied down on the edge of the bed, near you. He looked into your eyes, his hands tracing from your eyes, all the way down your brown cheek.

"You should never drink like that..." His raspy voice cooed to you. "I don't ever want you to end up doing something you'd regret. Especially while you're drunk,"

You only looked at him, giggling and smiling at the beautiful, loving boy you called your boyfriend. He cared so much about you, and was a bit over protective at times, but he never made it into a bad thing. He just wanted the best for you.

"I know I sound like your dad or something, but I just---"

"Want the best for me?" you half-smiled, "I know.. you say it all the time,"

You kissed his soft lips, pulling him in closer to you. His hands snaked around your waist and your hands were around his neck. You stayed like that for a while, holding each other close while your lips stayed together.

When you parted, he smiled at you and kissed your forehead. "Next time, when we go to a party, we're going to spend the night together."

You only laughed at him, and you rolled your eyes after. Good guys like him hardly ever came along.
