"Family?" I asked her giving her a skeptical look, I wasn't having it. She seemed sketchy, in the way she floated around, to the way she talked and looked at me. I didn't trust her at all.

"I suppose we can get into that later, hm? Right now we better get home" she said motioning me to walk with her, I hesitated but then remembered I didn't have much to loose.

"So...tell me about yourself" she said as sparks and flames flew around me in a graceful way. "...I'm not very interesting to talk about..." I said honestly. I mean I didn't do much in Pikoro to mean anything. I can't even talk about family and friends because.....what family and friends?

"Oh no, no! Nonsense! I find you extremely intriguing. You're the one and only fire element on the entire planet! You're miraculous and powerful, you're just misunderstood darling....these...amateurs want to control you and turn you into something you're not.....you can't play with fire darling, you'll only get burned" she said warningly smirking.

"So again....tell me about yourself" she repeated sounding a bit agitated. "Um...well my name is Kathryn Scarlett McCall....I got that name after-" she cut me off "after your great grand mother who died sometime before you were born" she said smiling slightly, "now that's not what I mean by tell me about yourself. When you come with me, everything changes, your name, your job and responsibilities....everything" she said gazing off into the distance creepily.

"That's a lot of change" I commented not knowing if I liked the sound of that. "Oh but darling, change is good. It's like ending a game of pretend, and finally being who you really are....and they're are other...family members as well, and you get to met them all" she said as we finally came to a stop. My eyes widened when I saw a purple portal In front of me....I've never seen a portal before but I've read so much about them.

"This is our ticket home darling" she said walking up to it gazing at it in all its glory. She looked back at me wondering my I haven't moved and smiled "you haven't seen a portal before...have you?" She asked and I felt kind of bad and shameful for that fact that I haven't she soon teleported in front of me cupping my face "What have they done to you...? Keeping the worlds wonderful secrets away from you....these marvellous gifts of our world...." She said sadly.

We were quiet for a moment but then she said "well...that's fine. Remember, everything changes, starting right now." She said offering a hand. I didn't know how to feel about this, but it was better than any offer I could get anywhere else. I eventually took her hand in mine and her grin grew, I prepared for pain or anything else I would feel once we stepped through. I closed my eyes and soon felt almost like a gust of wind. "We're home" she said in almost of a whisper.

My eyes fluttered open the see the marvellous nether. It was prettier than spoke about in any book I've ever read. Glow stone in the distance, rivers and streams of lava.....it was a world of red. It...it was spectacular. "You like it?" She asked me and I nodded. "Good. I'm happy you do. You'll have you're own room and everything. It can be right next my office if you wish it so" she said as we walked side by side "okay" I agreed still in shocked of were I was.

We walked into a building made of nether rack, it was huge inside. "How many floors are there?" I asked in awe. "There are around maybe 30..." She said as if it was no big deal, "wow....." I said looking up trying to even find a roof but only finding floors and floors. "I suppose it is 'wow'" she said chuckling a it but it actually seemed genuine.

"Angel, you're back" a boy said walking up to us. He had black hair and dark blue eyes, he was wearing jeans with a grey v-neck, hands in his pockets., it was clear he was older than me but by how much I didn't know "I am" she said nodding, the boy sent me a death glare "who is this?" He said in a bored tone. "Now, Gene. This is the girl I told you about. I would expect you to show her full respect as you do to me, she is our family now. We die for eachother no matter how longer you've known eachother." Angel said sternly.

"Yes mam" he said and the lady known as 'Angel' smiled "good. Now, go bond, get to know one another, show her around and absolutely no arguing." She said as she evaporated. He sighed "I was suppose to come and get you, you know but she insisted she'd do it herself. I don't know why you're so important but I mean if she insists that you stay here with us and that you're family, then you're family" he said with a small smile.

"My names Gene, as you probably picked up on....but I don't believe that I picked up on yours?" He said politely. "Umm....Kathryn, but everyone use to call me Katie" I said with a half smiled. "That's a horrible name. But that's okay, because I get to give you a new one! I'm really good at picking names" he said proudly.

"So...tell me about yourself" he said and I remembered what 'Angel' said before. "Umm.....I like....jack Daniels?" I said awkwardly. Soon a wave of embarrassment came over me. It just came out, but surprisingly a boom a laugher came from beside me and Gene smiled "then I think we'll get along just fine" he laughed as we began our tour.

"And this is you're bedroom!" Gene said happily, I laughed. He seemed pretty nice, he was funny too. But still something told me to be careful but who cares anymore?

He opened the door for me and my smiled grew, greys and whites filled my room. It was a room for a god. It was amazing. "Thank you" I thanked still eyeing every detail in the room. "Your welcome. And if you didn't notice, it's right across from mine" he winked and I laughed. Huh, nice try bud. "And Angels office is right down there" he pointed to the end of the hall. "We're going to have dinner soon...ill make sure to come and get you till then" he smiled. "Okay...thank you"I said happily. "No problem.....oh, and...welcome home Blaze" he said with a smirk as he walked out closing the door.

Blaze......I like it. I brought my attention back to the gorgeous room. I dashed to the bed burying my face into the duvet. And it didn't catch on fire. I sighed with glee. I smiled gazing at the room...my room. I decided to get changed, I waltzed over to the closet, I quickly opened it to find it full of clothes. I felt the odd material, it wasn't cloth, plastic or leather.....it felt like my fire proof suit. How did they know?

I just shrugged leaving it be and grabbed a jumpsuit. I quickly slipped it on some clean undergarments I found and pulled on the jumpsuit , I took a glance in the mirror. I looked cute.

I stayed in my room for about 30minutes but then curiosity got the best of me and I decided to walk around by myself. I noticed Gene wasn't in his room since the door was left open but I didn't want to snoop in his stuff so I continued down the hall. I saw Angel's office but decided to steer clear of it so I wouldn't get in trouble, but then I heard yelling from the other side and gave in.

"If shadow knights are what you need then trust me, I know few" I heard a voice say, it sounded like Gene.

"Well, perhaps that can be a side mission for you. But until then, stick to what I told you...and keep her out of it." I heard a voice that sounded like Angel's say angrily.

"But I don't understand your plan, what am I suppose to do then? Lock her up? Kill her?" I heard Gene say then a heard a smack and winced it sounded painful. "You shouldn't speak of such things, careful Gene....don't forget what I've promised you" Angel said warningly. "I'm just saying...she won't help....I know she won't" Gene argued.

"She will if she knows what's good for her! And you...you shall help her..." Angels voice said sternly. "Well, I hadn't said that I wouldn't help her...." Gene trailed off. "And I had no doubt you wouldn't....She's and eye catcher....careful Gene....don't play with fire" and with that I ran like hell to my room hoping no one had heard nor seen me.
