It's been along time since I've been to the surface. I don't know how long it's been. Down here in the nether you tend to loose track of time. I've pretty much been hanging with Gene 24/7, and it's pretty awesome. Angel stays in her office most of the time, we sometimes see her at meals and sometimes just looming around the mansion, or outside. Gene says she's planning something, he said if she already had a plan we'd have a meeting.

He says that she's talked to him a lot, about getting more people to come, stuff like that. Gene says that we're going training today like we have been pretty much since I've gotten here and I'm...excited? I mean I was already pretty much trained but Angel says that Gene can teach me things humans can't. I don't know why that sounds so alluring and pleasing, but it does. I've already learned so much, things I never thought I could do.

Being here, in the neither, is different. You think differently, feel different. There's a completely different feeling of being here, something indescribable, powerful. Sure, it's dark here, there's no sunlight, trees, flowers or grass. But, I kinda don't care.

Angel told me that coming here was only one part of truly being myself. There's training, and accepting, understanding and other stuff And Im excited for it all. Gene tells me I'm a hand full and that I've changed...but for the better. I think he's just jealous because I'm happy and he's cranky all the time.He says I'm more fun and carefree, I dunno..I don't see it but whatever right?

Also, we've gotten more people here, there's a boy named Toby and his sister Myra we haven't see them around a lot though. Only at meals. Gene says it's because they haven't evolved or something? I don't know.

Right now I'm lounging in my room surprisingly. I made sure I was ready for training and now I was only waiting on Gene. I've learned a lot about Gene, but I don't think I learned anything I really wanted to know about him. He keeps that stuff to himself.

I then heard a knock on the door which made me smile. I simply get up and walk towards the door, I open the door only to have Gene jump on top of me covering my mouth. I tried talking but he kept shushing me. He looked back and kicked my door shut then looked back at me.

This boy is heavier than he looks....

"Okay Blaze, I'll let go....but you can't yell at me" he warned. He looked cute from down here that's for sure. His dark hair messy yet put together- what am I talking about? I need to shut the fuck up right now and focus. No. I need to have a little fun. Okay, true.

He slowly moved his hand away. There was something weird that flashed in his eyes when his palm grazed my lips. I wanted to yell at him yet laugh randomly at the same time. I was conflicted. He then looked into my eyes, I was short of breath and he chuckled lowly.

"Come on, I wanna show you something" he said as he hopped up and offered me a hand. I gladly took it. He kept me behind him and he scoped out the hallway for people I was assuming. "Okay...follow my lead" Gene whispered and I nodded. He dashed out the door and I soon chased after him. We hid behind pillars and under tables until we finally made it outside of the mansion.

We both both released a breath neither of us knew we were holding. "Geez, I haven't ran from someone in a while" I chuckled trying to catch my breath. Gene raised a brow but I just gave him the hand signal to just forget about it.

Gene began to walk away. "Hey! Wait! Mind telling me what we were running from?" I asked him catching up. He ran his fingers through his jet black hair. "Angel" he said blankly. "What? Why?" I asked him. She wasn't a bad person. "Because...." he said walking faster as he hopped around holes of lava. "What do you mean because" I mocked him. I didn't like this back and forth game.

We went back and forth bickering for what felt like hours, I would ask him a question and he'd answer it with a one worded answer. I think he only did that because he knew it irritated me. Which only made me more irritated.

" are we there yet? You know I think Angels going to get mad..." I told him and he scoffed "you think I care about her?" He asked me as he glanced back at me with a smile, but his smile soon dropped and he stopped to turn to me "Listen here Blaze...there are only two people on this whole planet that I care about...and none of them are Angel" he said in a very angry tone.

"Who are they?" I asked. But the words flew out of my mouth by its self. He just stared at me for a while not saying anything until he said "My brother...." he trailed off.

Gene has a brother?

"And...?" I asked curiously. He looked at me as I slowly died from the lack of air my body was allowing my to intake through Gene's gaze. "Myra" he spat out and sped pass me. My heart felt like it was stab and cracked open to find nothing but space. 'Whatever' I thought.

"Hm...Myra eh?" I questioned nudging him a bit. "Mmhmmm" he hummed. "How come you never told me!" I playfully slapped his arm and he rolled his eyes. " I don't know" he shrugged. "And when do you ever hang out with Myra?" I questioned. Like Gene was always by my side.

"We're closer than It seems" he spat out dryly. Geez for a guy with a crush he seems pretty pissed off about it. "Okay...well, I'm happy for you!" I told him and he narrowed his eyes at me. "And why is that?" He asked me. " Because my bestie gotta crush" I teased him and he cringed "ew. Don't call me that." He said sternly. "Awe come on! My buddy ol' pal has a crushhh!" I teased as I danced around him with made him groan in disgust.

"I think I felt the whole world cringe.." he mumbled and I laughed. "Okay now for the real question" I said seriously. "What." He said annoyed. "Is it going to be outdoors?" I asked him and he gave me a questioning look. "What?" He asked me. "Is.it.going.to.be.outdoors." I asked more clearly. He looked at me irritated and annoyed "what's going to be outdoors?" He questioned. "You know, the wedding" I said and he groaned louder which made me laugh.

"You're impossible" he said and I laughed. "I'm amazing" I said proudly. "No. you're annoying" he pointed out with a chuckle. "Okay, yeah that too" I shrugged and he just shook his head and laughed. It wasn't long until got to where Gene wanted to bring me. He stood and asked" are you ready?" I raised a brow at him. "Ready for what?" I questioned him hesitantly when I saw what was in front of him. A huge hole that led to a pool of lava.

"To jump" he said casually. "Uhhh. I'm not jumping" I said scared. He laughed "Don't worry you won't die" he said with a laugh. "Yeah. Said by every murderer ever" I said as I slowly backed away. "Blaze come on, trust me" he said. I kept looking at him then back at the pit of lava. Who was I going to believe? My eyes or Gene?

"Come on blaze. Why would I all of a sudden want to kill you?" He asked crossing his arms. "Uhhh because I keep annoying you!" I said moving farther away. "Blaze. Stop being a scared cat. This is apart of your training." He said with a laugh. I narrowed my eyes at him it wasn't the Lava that scared me. It was the probable depth that scared me. I never learned to swim. I couldn't learn. If we jumped in he would die first anyways....right?

"And what exactly are we training? How to die?" I asked him and he laughed. "No idiot. Trust and loyalty" he said sternly. I sighed. I can't be scared of something that I don't know. Besides..he could be tricking me and the lava could be super shallow. Okay. Fuck it.

I sped walked up to the pit preparing to jump. "Wait. Hold onto me" he said and I raised a brow. "I don't need you. I can do it myself" I said glaring at the lava. "Okay...fine. But hold onto my hand at least. Don't wanna loose you just yet" he laughed and I narrowed my eyes at him which only made him laugh harder.

I slowly made my way by his side and carefully slid my hand into his. He smiled at me and he quickly jumped in I screamed as he pulled me in right after him.

Im sorry for not updating a lot...um been quite tired lately and just not feeling up to it. But not only that but it's been difficult since the person I'm writing with has been going through some hard times as well. Um, I haven't spoken to her recently but that only because I don't want to be a bother, so yeah. I'm going to try and write more often but more specifically on this book, and finally for the next chapter comment who's P.O.V you want it to be.
