I spoke with Nolan and Hailey last night. It seems like her trip was successful...maybe too successful. She apparently met Nolan, at a camp site on the outskirts of ScalesWind. I don't know what his story is but it must be interesting if she brought him back here.

I gazed outside of my window, to see Nolan helping the farmers. I laughed. What is he doing down there?

I quickly got changed into light blue shorts and white blouse. I got freshened up, brushed my hair and let my long brown curly hair down. It's a blessing yet a curse. Everytime my hair gets wet it becomes curly like legit big curls. It's annoying, after that I headed towards the fields.

I didn't put on my armour this morning, I didn't have much to do anyways. Pulse, it's quite hot out today.

"Morning farmer" I said in a joking tone. Nolan laughed, and fixing his Sweaty blond hair in one sweep. "Did you sleep well?" He asked me.
"I did, did you?" I asked him, and he answered with a "I did".

"So...what is all this" I questioned him. Why was he farming? Surely he didn't come here for that.

"I just wanted to help out, I'm not good at everything but I do now how to farm" he smiled. Interesting...

"Are you a farmer?" I asked curiously, he laughed, "certainly not. My friend was, she taught me a lot actually..." He trailed off. Oh...his friends a girl?

"Oh...well, you don't have to help you know" I said. I mean there's a reason for the farmers to be paid by Hailey. There our main food source, and they make a good amount of money if you ask me.

"I know... I just wanted to help. It feels good helping people for no reason" he smiled as sweat beads dropped off of his forehead.

"Well...would you mind if I helped?" I questioned tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear. I had time, there was no way he would get this field done by himself.

He smirked leaning on the shovel "I suppose not"

"Ugh! Why is this so tiring!" I exclaimed whipping the sweat off of my fore head. It's been about 2 hours since we began, and we've only done 25% of the field. Harvesting was tiring, but hoeing the ground and making sure it's good for planting new crops was harder, I certainly know what profession I'm not going into.

"Awe come on! Giving up already!" Nolan laughed. It was so hot out. How is he not dying?. "I'm not giving up, just need a break" I said pausing for a minute to catch my breath.

"Don't you have fire powers or something? Can't handle the heat?" He teased. I was shocked he knew, but I knew Hailey must have told him. "Oh honey, I can handle all types of heat" I teased.

"You can? I'll be sure to remember that then" he said, I froze and blushed deeply as he laughed at me. I didn't expect him to say that...

"How about we work for another 30mimutes or so and we'll go get lunch?" He offered. Ooo food, I'm in! "Hell yeah" I said beginning to work again, while he laughed.

"So....did you grow up in Pikoro?" He asked me. "No...no and yes" I said. He looked confused for a moment "what do you mean?" He asked me.

"Well...I was born in Tu'la" I said. I didn't really want to go into details. "Do your parents live here then? Like did you move here from a young age?" He asked me. I froze at the first question. How was I gonna answer that? I didn't really want to tell him the truth...but I don't want to lie either.

"Yeah, I came here when I was around 8 " I said honestly. "Oh, so where do your parents live?" He asked curiously. I kept my head down and said "they....live here too" I wasn't necessarily lying. When I thought about it I had many mothers. Like Amethyst, Ava and in a way Hailey. They all had a very large impact on my life at a young age and I've always looked up to them...so...kind of the same thing.

"I see..." He said. "What about you?" I asked. He chuckled "what about me?" I sighed. "Well....have you lived in ScalesWind all your life? Do you have parents and siblings?" I asked him. It was his turn.

"Well....no. I grew up in bright port." He said shrugging like it was no big deal. "I've heard a lot of great things about Bright Port" I said honestly. "Are they true?" I asked him. "What is?" He asked. "Well...I mean, it's like the main trading village, so there must be lots of jobs and the I heard they're all very smart there since they're huge in medical aid" I said and he laughed. What was so funny?

"Well, I suppose that's all true. But although there's business, it never seems to grow, no real progress" he said honestly. Interesting.

"Why are you asking? Are you thinking of moving?" He asked me and I laughed "no way, I'd never leave here" I said honestly. "Well...why not? Don't you want to travel? Explore?" He asked me.

I shrugged "I don't travel much now anyways and I'm pretty happy, plus I couldn't leave everyone here..." I said. I've never thought about it much, there was never really a lot to think about. I could never leave them.

"Well, what about siblings?" I asked changing the subject. " well....I have a sister" he said, and then I got excited "Really?! What's her name?" I asked. I've always wanted a sibling....but never really got one.

He chuckled " her name's Giselle" he smiled. I smiled at his happiness, he must really love her....

"My parents live with her, back in Bright Port" he said. Oh.....that's really far....why would he come all this way?. "Why'd you come all this way? That's pretty far don't you think?" I asked him, and he just shrugged "I'm a big boy, I don't need to stay at home" he said simply. Hmmm... I doubt you came all the way here just for adventure.

" can I ask you something?" He asked me and I smiled "sure, what's on your mind?" I asked him. "Well.....you know those two guards that live here?" He asked me. I stood there confused "there are lots of guards here Nolan, your gonna have to be specific" I teased. "Oh shut up" he said and I laughed. "You know like...the red headed ones....I believe they're brothers?" He said. AHHH Fredrick and Ethan.

"Well, you believe right, they are. Their names are Fredrick and Ethan" I told him. He nodded "well....you know the uh......special one?" He whispered like it was a secret and I laughed hard "Nolan, we all know who the Special one is" I laughed and before I knew it I slipped into the mud. Well......shit.

He howled with laughter while I sat there pouting. Well know I'm filthy...great.

A minute or two passed and he was still laughing. Jerk. "Perhaps your the special one" he teased and I faked laugh. Yeah? Let see how funny this is...

"Here take my hand" he said calming down.oh I'll take it all right. I grabbed his hand and pulled him in right beside me, he looked so shocked as I laughed. We probably looked like idiots right now.

"I suppose that makes us both special" I laughed. Because I fell, and he trusted me. He laughed fixing his hair, "I guess so.....now come on, let's got get changed and we'll go and eat " he said and I smiled. That sounded like a great idea.

Dominic's P.O.V

I woke up this morning and I realized that I slept in. I was really tired, I couldn't sleep last night. I got dressed in a tank and shorts, I grabbed an apple and made my way to the bakery.

I began to walk down the path I took a bite into my apple I looked in the way of the beautiful fields and soon spat the apple up. It was that new guy, Nolan working on the farm with.....katie?

She was wearing a white blouse with light blue jean shorts. The hair was tied up into a pony tail, they both looked tired. I watched as he said something that made her laugh and then she slipped into the mud. I hesitated to go and help but it was no use she was already sitting in mud.

I watched as Nolan laughed at her. Jerk. I debated on going to help, until she began to laugh. What's so funny? He was laughing at you?!

I growled in anger. I don't understand what she sees in him. Sure he has a good build and he's not ugly, but he's clearly an ass. I watched as he finally went to help her, he lended a hand but she pulled him into the mud as well and they both laughed. I hung my head low.

I suppose somethings aren't meant to be. The villager and the head guard never gets a happy ending anyways, and they probably never will. Im sorry I'm not enough for her, oh but I wish I was.

I pondered if she still wanted me around. Well, he just came here....he hasn't won anything yet.

And with that thought I slowly made my way to the bakery. More determined than ever before.
