Fire Starter [Minecraft Diaries Fanfic]

We all stood silent as Aphmau read the letter out loud " Lord Hailey of Pikoro, I allow you and some of your guards to come with you so that you know we won't take advantage of the situation" I scoffed. As if I would let her go alone...we were planning on coming anyways!

"I do not like war, but to talk peace might be able to work with what's on your mind. From lord Xaveen Burtemi" Aphmau signed as she finished. Talk about what's on our mind?!? How about a war? Yeah? That seems like something important to think about! Especially when you started it!

I crossed my arms in frustration. This letter didn't help at all, weather the man was delusional of his own war or he was playing dumb was unknown and agitating.

We all stayed silent thinking, and the odd girl from before walk towards the messenger bird.

She kneeled down in front of it "hey, Little bird. I need to ask you something" she said to the bird. Is she okay?

"Y/N this isn't the time to be Snow White" the man known as Garroth spoke. I choked on my own spit chuckling silently. I think I have a new favourite.

"Garroth, something doesn't feel right. Somethings wrong" she said to him. I chuckled. Yeah, your head.

Then the sandy blonde boy said "wait.....okay.....go on" go on?! Go on with what?!

She just nodded and turned to face the poor bird once again. I could barley watch. I was bound to crack up eventually. "If your wondering no. I can't understand you, but I know what you feel. Sense magics" now I was gonna howl with laughter. I know she's an ether but this was all too funny for me...what can I say? I'm a child!

"Now, I need to know, did lord Xaveen really plan on taking down the archers?" She asked the bird. I was beginning to get impatient. She was completely ridiculous.

"So, it's a trap?" She said in a low voice. I'm gonna say something! This is soooo stupid!

"A trap?" The girl I know to be Katelyn said tucking a price of blue hair behind her ear.

The odd girl thanked the bird and faced us again " the archers are still out side waiting for us" she said.

Aaaaand then it slipped "WHAT?!" I exclaimed. Hell nah, I ain't dealing with this, shoot me once same on you, shoot me twice...flames will spread. I was not, I repeat NOT going to deal with this.

"Then plan B?" Garroth asked curiously.

"Yes. The archers grow few and in a certain distance, most of them are gone" she said

"But Burtemi is really far, can you handle this?" Katelyn questioned.

She nodded "I've been practising last night. So it wouldn't be much of a problem" she been practising?! Last night?! Now I really need to keep a keen eye on her, if she wanted to she could have killed us all.

"Well then, we'll head out in a few. Get ready all of you. Get the horses, I'll go on my broom got it?"  Hailey ordered. I didn't like the fact she was going on her broom. What if they shot her from above...then I couldn't save her, or help her.

Everyone split up leaving Hailey and I.

"Hailey.... I don't know how I feel about you bringing your broom..." I trailed off. If that odd girl from before was right....she could get shot.

" it doesn't matter how you feel Katie. I'm bringing my broom" she snapped. I stood there and just blinked for a moment as she began to pack.

Then she sighed and thought about what she said "I'm sorry Katie...I..I...I didn't mean it. This is all so stressful. I'm sorry. Your opinion matters to me more than anyone else, I hope you know that" she said sincerely.

I nodded "it's okay. I understand, it's just that... If there main weapon is arrows perhaps it's not a smart move to be using a broom is all. I just don't want you to get hurt" she paused for a second and turned to me with a groan "your right. Ugh! I'm sorry. I'm just not thinking straight. Maybe I'll create a temporary barrier with an easy spell" she pondered.

"See? Now your double save!" I said with a smile. She chuckled I went to leave when she said "thank you, oh and Katie?" She called for me I spun around quickly "yes my lord?" I teased.

"I heard Katelyn like destroying things too" she said smirking. "She does?!" I exclaimed with joy. "Mhm, and guess what? She was actually apart of the jury of nine" she chuckled softly.

Wow.....oh my god! Does that mean she's Katelyn the fire fist?!

"Wait....hold up.....fire fist Katelyn? Or another Katelyn?" I asked. I can't get excited too quickly.

"Fire Fist" I said with a bigger smirk. "OOOOOOOO MYYYYY GODDD!" I said as I sped out of the room, with Hailey's laughter trailing behind me.

So know the horses are saddled and ready, food and water was packed along with some other necessities. I even met Katelyn! But like I had to keep my cool, and be super smooth. I couldn't mess that up. She's even more amazing than I thought! And she seems to like me too! YES!

Me and Katelyn have been talking for about 30minuts or so maybe more. We haven't seen anyone else. What's taking them so long?

Then in the distance I saw the odd girl. She walked over to us looking somewhat prepared.

"Where's Aphmau and Garroth?" She asked. How am I suppose to know?

"Probably still preparing. They'll be here soon" I said leaning against the horse. Once everyone came the Ether girl flew up and extended her wings "go fast okay?" She said to all of us. I scoffed. Well, I'll go as fast as my feet will take me, I don't run if I don't have too.....scratch that....I don't run at all.

Pretty much the minute the gates were opened and we stepped out arrows where shot left and right. The shield was effective. I'll give her that. Once time went on, and no more archers were to be seen, she took down the shield.

It was along and quiet ride, once we finally got there the girl said "guys don't let your guard down" ....what did you think I was gonna do?

But soon enough we all sensed people watching us. We all froze, listening. After seconds later people jumped out of the bushes and trees attacking I yelled "don't hurt them! It'll only make things worse!" I said blocking an arrows

"Y/n! Go in with Aphmau and Lord Hailey!" Katelyn said blocking another arrow. Arrows where coming for left and right. As I blocked another one I made eye contact with Hailey. She seemed worried. She was gonna get hurt, they had to hurry.

"And protect them! I will never forgive myself if anything happens" I said as I threw one to the ground. They soon enough went onto Hailey's broom and flew over. I knew I couldn't stay out here too long. I knew my anger would build up. I just trusted that Hailey knew my time limit.

And arrow hit my hind leg. Katelyn looked at me with a worried expression I grabbed the arrow and ripped it out with a grunt. Damn that hurt...

I assured her I was fine. I contained to block and trip. I couldn't kill them but no one said they can't kiss the floor a little bit.
