Fire Starter [Minecraft Diaries Fanfic]

"Katie?".... The voice echoes. I had a huge headache. Everything was black. What happened? Where am I?

"Katie? Please wake up" the voice rang again through my ears which caused my headache to worsen. My chest ached.Who is that?......Hailey!

My eyes snapped open as I quickly sat up to see Hailey kneeled at the side of the bed and another woman on my right that I didn't know. She had brown eyes and long black hair. The woman stepped back as my attention went back to Hailey.

"Hailey..." I breathed out. I couldn't remember anything but I saw the worry in her face. I was assuming something bad happened. I looked down at my attire to reveal that my armour was  taken off. Leaving me in my skin tight dark red suit. It was fire proof and perfect for me. It hugged every curve.

"What happened?" I asked her. She smiled weakly "you were shot, in the chest by an arrow" she said sadly. An arrow? Me? Shot? By an arrow? I was weak enough to get shot once and pass out? Are you serious?

"I was shot...?" I asked. I'm such a weakling.

"Yes, you were injured badly. But our friend Aphmau saved you" she said smiling great fully. Ew, I had to be saved? Now I really am a weakling.

I looked around the room to see that the lady known as Aphmau had friends. One was a girl and had blue hair the other was blonde with blue eyes I felt like I've seen him before.

"How are you feeling now?" The girl known as Aphmau asked. I would have naturally given her a snarky remark but she seemed genuine when she asked....she actually cared...

"I'm fine now....a little pissed but fine" I said calmly. "Thank you" I thanked her. I tied up my long and light brown hair I went to stand up I was pushed back down by Hailey.

"Where do you think your going?"  She asked me with a hand on her hip. I sighed finishing the pony tail "I'm going back out there-" she cut my off "no your not. And that is an order, we'll send all of our guards out there"

I looked across the room to see a mirror. I looked like a wreck. I had that anger gleam in my crystal blue eyes that reflected off my pale skin. I looked tired but mostly pissed.

"How could a arrow take me down so easily?" I breathed out. I felt so weak. I should have been by Hailey's side....I don't remember anything.

"Don't be hard on yourself Katie, I know you wanted to be by my side. Whatever happened I know you did it for a good reason. Remember Katie, you have fire powers but your not immortal" she chuckled at the last bit. I nodded.

"I suppose" I pouted. I felt like a child.

We heard screams from outside. We all jumped and looked at each other. I had a plan.

"We must move now Hailey! We have to do something!" I said feeling out a bit. She sighed but nodded "your right. Let's go. We must have a meeting now." With that we all hushed out of the room. Aphmau ordered  of her guards to got retrieve two others.

Hailey decided to go into the main guard tower once we got there Hailey turned around to face all of us.

"Any plans" she asked. Scanning the room.

We all kept our heads low. My idea wouldn't work. I knew it wouldn't work.

"Very well then, I suppose we have to call all of our warriors to fight then. How else are we going to stop them" she said. I knew she didn't want to call all the troops. People would get hurt or even die. She didn't want it to be this way.

"What about the alliance?" I asked turning to Aphmau.

" lord Hailey, this shouldn't be at war yet, we will try and talk peace to the lord Burtemi. But for now, we shouldn't call the alliance yet" Aphmau said. Oh my god, that's great. She's that lord hippy then right? With all that make peace and stuff...now we're really all gonna die.... But it wasn't a bad idea.

For a brief second our attention was brought to the door, Aphmau's guards arrived bringing a boy with blue eyes and sandy brown hair, and a girl that I didn't know. For a brief second or two the aura in the room shifted.

"Agree my lord. We still haven't spoke to their lord ever since they declared, that if we don't find his niece, then he WILL declare war" I said to her. It was hopeless. There was going to be a war. Who ever the niece is she should've stay'd with her uncle, this is a bigger mess than it needs to be. I hope she feels ashamed.

"Katie, we can't even go outside our gates without the absolute risk of getting shot!" Hailey said in a worried but panicked tone. It's been a while since anyone declared war. I guess she's just scarred.

"We can send a message to their lord by via bird, and in the next 24hours if they don't reply  we ALL go there. I can build us a fire wall to just burn the arrow shot" I suggested. It's not like I haven't done that before.

"Lady Katie" the odd girl from before said. Did she just call me Katie? Hell no...

"That's Kathryn. YOU do not address me by that name" I said angrily. I didn't know her, and they was the aura in the room was weird didn't help with my mood.

She nodded " Lady Kathryn, that would only let them send fire arrows. If the bird won't work I can bring us there" she offered. How did she know? If I put enough heat into one wall it would work. It would potentially knock me out, but it would work long enough for us to get there.

"And how do you know?" I snapped. She was beginning to push buttons she shouldn't be pushing.

"Well...I-I'm...and ether" I snapped.

I swiftly swig out my sped to her face. I wasn't informed that an ether was coming only a shadow knight.

Then the sandy blonde haired boy came in her defence. What are they dating? "Leave.her.alone" he growled. He was no threat to me. I would gladly show him the door with in seconds with just a swift kick.

"No! She came trusted I promise!" Aphmau swore. I didn't know anything about this girl.....I know Aphmau healed me or 'saved me' but I don't really know her either. I didn't back down. I held my ground.

"KATIE!" Hailey yelled. My attention was on her " I know she's an ether, but can't you see she's willing to help?" She said trying to stay calm. Yelling will only trigger me even more. I looked at Hailey as she nodded at me telling me she trusted her. If Hailey trusts her, I'll do the same.

I lowered my sword and went back to my place beside Hailey. "Fine. But I'll be watching" I warned. She has to know her place. I can't go around trusting everyone can I.

The sandy blonde haired boy looked at the girl and asked her " Y/n are you okay?" I scoffed, I didn't even touch her.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she smiled back at the boy. Seriously? Of course she's fine! She didn't even stand her own ground! I barley touched her!

"Uhm...as I was saying, if the lord won't accept the letter and refuses to speak I can help us through using my powers to create us a shield" the girl spoke.

"Very well then, that's our plan A and B ready" Hailey said sternly.

I nodded "I will send the letter to Burtemi and set their time limit" I offered.

"Let's call this" Aphmau said, and with that I swiftly left the room.

It's been 22hours, I've barley slept. I know I'm not the one to be receiving the letter, but I want to be the one to see it, everyone was given there own room but I know Hailey didn't sleep well. I heard her shifting all night. Since I'm head guard it was agreed that my room should be close to her quarters.

I've been waiting forever. I slept for about 4-5 hours. I'm tired I'll admit that, but I've been showing weakness lately. Me getting shot by that arrow was a disgrace, and a complete embarrassment.

"Lady Kathryn!" I heard a man call my name, I looked up from my slouching position and smiled. It was Dominic. He had black hair with brown eyes, he was the one who took care of the messenger birds, he was 4y years older than me, he was one of my friends. He was also very formal.

I stood up as he ran towards me with delight "Lady Kathryn...." He breathed out. Did he run all the way?

"That's Katie to you Dominic" I smiled, he smiled in glee as he passed me the letter. "Thank you Katie, and You can still call me Dom you know" he nudged me with a grin.

"Oh I know, but you blush Everytime I call you that" I pointed out, as he looked shocked. I just laughed.

"Well, I go to go- oh hey Dom?" I asked sweetly, he seemed excited to hear the old nickname. "Yes, La- Katie?" He corrected himself blushing deeply.

I just laughed and said "your to cute Dominic". And with that I was on my way to see Hailey.

Once I got to her quarters I knocked on the door " Lord Hailey?" .....silence. I decided to knock again, "Hailey.....its me"  I said flatly and before I knew it the door flew open.

Hailey gave me a weak smile. "I...I got the letter" I said. She nodded and open the door wider inviting me in.

"Did you open it?" She asked me. I shook my head " No My lord " I said. She was in her buissness mood I just went along with it. There was no time to waste nor fool around. I understood.

With in seconds she read it and orders me to collect Aphmau's team, we would be heading out in a hour or so. She ordered me to get the horses and other things we may need for our travels. Something didn't feel right about this....
