Epilogue
A few weeks go by, and Cam and Kai are about to find out the sex of their baby. Neither one of them has a specific preference, they both just want a healthy baby.
"Alright you two, ready to find out the sex of your baby?" Doctor Nash asks.
Can and Kai look at each other and smile. "Yeah, we're ready." Kai says.
"Okay, let's see...."
"Oh that's a boy." Cam says immediately once the doctor switches up the angles for a better look."
"Yes sir...it is. Congratulations."
"Oh yeah! Like father like son." Cam smirks.
"Cameron!" Kai says hitting him in the arm.
"Whaaaat. I'm just sayin."
"Please excuse his foolishness." Kai says.
"It's okay. Congratulations you two."
"Thank you." They both say.
After the appointment they head over to Aaliyah's to tell them the news. Odell and Kash were in LA to getaway for a while and as well as look for a potential house to live in. They both decided that LA would be the move for them.
They arrive at Aaliyah's and CJ sees their car pull up in the drive way.
"Mom, uncle Cam and auntie Kai are here. Can I go open the door."
"Yeah, go ahead."
He runs to the door to open it and he runs outside.
"Uncle Cam!"
"What's up lil man." He says giving CJ a hug.
"Hi auntie Kai."
"Hey baby."
"Did you find out what you're gonna have."
"Yup...and we'll tell you when we get inside."
They walk inside and sit in the living room where CJ was watching tv.
"Sooooooooo??" Aaliyah asks.
"It's a boy!!"
"Yesssss!!!" CJ beams. "That's what I wanted you to have! How long till he gets here?!"
"Another 5 months."
"That's so long!!"
"Tell me about it. I'm ready to meet baby boy now!" Cam says.
"It'll be worth the wait though." Kai says.
"It will. Trust me, I know. Everything's gonna change when you hold him for the first time. You can't even describe the feeling. It was that magical." Aaliyah says hugging CJ and smothering his cheek with kisses.
"Mom stoooopp!!" CJ whines.
"Oh hush and accept my love." She says tickling him.
"It's too much." He says in the midst of laughter.
"There's no such thing. Cam, Kai, cherish the moments when they're little, because then they grow up and your love becomes 'too much' for them."
"I'm just kidding mom. I love you." He says hugging her then placing a kiss on her cheek.
"I love you more handsome."
Kai sits back and admires the relationship those two have and can't wait to start building a relationship with her son.

Just a few weeks later, Colin had his trial hearing. Aaliyah went back and forth debating if she'd let CJ come, but she decided against it. Cam and Odell were in attendance along with her. Of course he plead guilty, no one was surprised, due to that being the deal all along.
Liz kept to her word of how long the sentencing would be and got it down to six. Before they took him to the back, Aaliyah was able to get in a hug and a kiss.
"I love you."
"I love you more." Aaliyah says before giving him another kiss.

{5 months later}
"Okay Kai, I need another big push." Doctor Nash says. Kai squeezes the life out of Cam's hand as she gives another big push. Baby Jayden is right on time and ready to see the world. "Okay there's the head."
Cam looks down to see the head and thought he was gonna faint for a second. Nothing that big should come out of there, he thought to himself. "Okay where's the rest of him." Cam asks.
"If you don't come back up here and let her do her job, I can push the rest of him out." Kai says in frustration. Cam shuts up and goes back to playing hand holder. After one more push, he's finally out and in Kai's arms. She's in tears at this point. Her little bundle of joy is finally here. "He's so perfect." She says. "Welcome to the world Jayden Michael Newton.
The nurses take him over to get fully cleaned off, then once they're finished, they bring him back. Cam admires his beautiful wife holding their baby boy. They finally get Kai all cleaned up and Cam goes to the waiting room to get everyone.
Aaliyah, CJ, Kash and Kai's family head to the room. Cam and Odell trail behind them.
"How was it."
"I freaked out when I saw the head pokin out."
Odell chuckles. "Wuss."
"You laughin now...but wait about five months, you gone see the same shit I did and be ready to fall the fuck out."
Odell and Kash found out some months ago that they too would be having a baby. And they just recently found out they're having a baby girl. Odell was more than excited when they found out the news. That would delay their wedding plans just a little, but that didn't matter.
It was tough for Aaliyah to not have Colin around, but being surrounded by friends the loved her and had her back through everything made it all bearable.
Everything seemed to be falling into place despite Colin's absence, and it was only the beginning.
