The Brothers

Colin decided to give Luke a break and come in and do Luke's duties.

"I'm on my way to the club, I'm gonna make a bank run, then I'll be on my way to the airport." Colin says on his way to club.

Aaliyah sighs. "Alright. Just hurry back. If you would have seen the look on your son's face all day yesterday, you would have never left."

"I know Aaliyah. Don't make me feel any worse than I already do, okay."

"I'm not trying to make you feel bad."

"Yeah, well it sure sounds like it."

"Just hurry back."

"I'll text you before I take off."

"Okay."

"You go see your father?" Colin asks Shaun as he hangs up the phone.

"Yeah."

"How's he doin?"

"Good."

Colin nods. Shaun never said much. He pretty much did everything Colin told him to do; which was drive him around. Keep him out of trouble.

They pull up to the club, Colin goes in and heads to the office. Not long after he's there, he looks at the television monitor that displays videos from the cameras around the club.

"The fuck?" He says while getting up from the desk. He heads downstairs to see what's going on.

"Can I help you gentlemen?" He looks over to see Simon walking up behind them. "The fuck is this?"

"Inspections...I'm sure you heard of them." Simon says.

"We've already been inspected."

"Good, then you should pass this one. It shouldn't take long." One of the other guys says. They disperse and begin to inspect the place.

"What the fuck are you up to?" Colin asks Simon.

"I'm not up to anything Mr. Kaepernick."

"This won't end well for you. I hope you know that."

"Oh no. It won't end well for you."

"Yeah, well good luck with that."

"My smoke detectors aren't up to date. You're kidding me right?"

"I wish I was."

"You can't give me a warning for something so small as a smoke detector?"

"I'm afraid not. Two more problems from this club and we shut you down."

"You can't be serious."

"Have a good day Mr. Kaepernick." They leave and Simon's the last one to walk away.

"I'm sure that partnership sounds good right about now."

"No. It doesn't. Now get the hell out of my club." Colin says then walks away. He goes upstairs to the office, and after conference calling with Cam and Luke, he sends emails out to everyone that was scheduled today that he was closing down the club tonight. He called for a crew to come out and make sure everything was straight so that there would be no more mishaps with an inspection crew. Then he made a call to Aaliyah.

"Hello."

He sighs. "Baby..."

"Don't even bother. I know what you're going to say. Just go ahead and book flights for me and CJ to leave tonight and we'll just cut this thing a couple days short."

"Aaliyah."

"Save it Colin."

"Alright. Be lookin out for a confirmation email for your flight."

"Thank you." She says then hangs up.

Vacation is finally over and everyone's over at Colin's place for breakfast to discuss the next steps.

"Aye Kap, pass the syrup." Odell says.

"So, I take it everyone had a nice vacation." Luke says, sparking a conversation.

"Definitely. Kai definitely enjoyed herself, and that's all that really mattered to me." Cam says. "Aaaaand, if everything works out as planned, hopefully ya boy will be a father. Hopefully."

"Oh word. Thought you shot blanks." Odell jokes. Everyone but Cam laughs.

"Colin, get him before I do."

"Awww take a joke Cam." Colin says.

"Yeah Cam, take a joke." Odell mocks.

"Shut up."

Odell laughs. "Well ya boy finally got some."

"Wooooord." Colin asks. Shocked just like everyone else. Akasha wasn't giving it up at all to Odell. Aaliyah told Colin it was mainly because Akasha wasn't sure of how serious he was and didn't think he deserved it just yet.

Odell nods. "Yup, and it was magical. I'm really in love with this woman. So don't be surprised if your kid has a playmate, Cam."

"Well if it happens, congratulations in advance to you both." Colin says. "Well its time to discuss some things. We all know about this cat Simon. For some odd reason, he wants to come after us. Why? Don't know. We gotta be on our P's and Q's. No slip ups. Had a crew come by, they made sure everything was good."

"What'll happen if we end up getting three citations? Then what?" Odell asks.

"Then we get shut down. Still not sure how exactly Simon will get his hands on the club if it does come to that, but I'm sure he will find a way."

"Well, in the eight years we've been up and running, we ain't have shit happen, so we should be straight." Cam reassures.

"Exactly. We're legit, and play by the book. There's nothing much he can do." Colin adds.

"Can't do shit but wait for a slip up, which never happens."

"Man, fuck a nigga name Simon Stern. Shit." Odell blurts out.

"Feelin bad there Delly dell?" Cam asks.

"Hell yeah. Let's just jump this nigga and get it over with."

"Now I understand why you leave it up to us three to handle shit." Luke says to Colin and Cam. Cam and Colin both laugh.

"Dell, how bout you just stick to finessing the women bruh." Colin says.

"Oh no, see I'm a one woman show now. Only woman I'm finessin is Akasha Giselle Williams."

"Look our boy man. He's growing up." Luke says.

After breakfast, Colin cleans everyone's plates. Cam comes to join him. Odell and Luke get a head start to the club.

"Aaliyah still mad at you?"

"Yup. Haven't talked to her since she and CJ touched down. Tried poppin up at the house, they weren't there, and she not answering my calls."

"Well how bout I get Kai to talk to her. Apparently they've planned some girls night out this weekend."

"You know where? The club?"

"Nah, not the club. She didn't say where...but she said girls night, and then going to the club while we there isn't a 'girls night.'"

"Oh. You ain't gotta talk to her. I'm sure they'll talk about it regardless. You know they tell each other every gah damn thing."

"That is true....y'all will be okay." Cam says giving Colin a pat on the back.

"I hope so bruh. You know her ass stubborn."

"That's true too. Give her time." Colin nods and they finish up the kitchen.
