Not Just Another Cliché

"Emily, are you mad?" Casey questions as he looks at my grand idea.

"Emily you genius!" Holly laughs taking her shoes off with Seth and Jamie.

"Come on Case. It's not like we weren't the only people who thought about it. Half the seniors are in it. Please. It'll be good physio too. Win win." I smile.

"Fine." He gives in with going in for a swim and we all cheer.

"Luckily enough, I have my bikini in my bag from coachella. I forgot to clean it out, I just threw my new stuff in hehe." I say running into the gym with Holly behind me assuming she has hers in her bag too.

What is it that they say? Great minds think alike?

We quickly change into them and I put my other stuff in my bag when I come across a second swimsuit and I smile then run into the pool area.

Jamie, Seth and Casey are already in the pool since they just took their shirts off because they already had shorts on.

I walk up to Katie who is looking at everyone having fun.

"You wanna get in Katie?" I ask.

She scoffs and looks down at her atire.

"Skinny jeans and a jumper. No thanks."

"What about this?" I say holding the bikini out to her.

"Are you sure?"

"How would we play chicken with only 5 people?" I ask in a duh tone and she chuckles running to the changing rooms.

When she comes back, me Holly and Katie take each other's hands and run and jump in together.

When we finally rise from the water, I laugh and brush the wet hair away from my face.

I wrap my legs around Caseys waist and lean in about to give him a kiss and then I jump up and push his head under the water.

Seconds later, he jumps back up and smirks at me.

"Oh you better run."

I scream and start running but it's almost impossible in a pool so eventually Caseys massive figure wraps itself around my body and pulls me back to him and moves his head over mine and I move mine back and our lips meet and I smile.

I look away then and see Holly taking a picture with Katie Seth and Jamie smiling at us making my face go red.

"Okay who's first?" Holly asks sitting on Seths shoulders as he holds her legs safely.

"Katie and Jamie can go." I smile.

"Grand. Hop on." Jamie says to Katie as he bends down a bit allowing her to get on his shoulders but she seems a bit hesitant so I walk over to her and smile.

"It'll be fine. Imagine Amber looking at you on Jamie Dawns shoulders playing chicken with Seth Mitchell and Casey St Cloud." I smirk and she smiles then jumps up on Jamie's shoulders and then I get an idea.

"How about, instead of chicken, we play volleyball?" I smile and the rest all cheer.

"We play winner." Casey yells over everyone's screams and pulls me over to the side with him while Seth hops back in with the volleyball net and ball.

Katie, still on Jamie's shoulders, throws the ball in the air and hits it with power but Seth jumps making Holly go higher so she can hit it but Holly falls back off Seths shoulders making everyone laugh.

I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I turn around and see more seniors looking down at me.

"Can we play?" They ask cautiously and I smile and say yes.

We decide on a no shoulder game and 5 on each time so it's me Casey, Hayley, Ben and Laragh and we are playing against Seth Holly Katie Jamie and Erin.

Everyone else playing winners.

I have first serve and it goes beside Holly making her belt it back over and Hayley yells mine and then it continues back and forth for a while until Casey belts it making it go over everyone on the opposite team declaring us the winners.

Everyone is high-fiving and then I look up and see 2 chaperones looking down at us and I freeze. Crap.

"Whose idea was this? Volleyball?" Ms Benson asks.

Everyone turns away and I slowly raise my hand.

The frown disappears off ms Bensons face and she smiles.

"4 years in this school and not once did any of the teachers succeed in making everyone work together like I seen just there. Good job Emily. Food is being served so everyone get showered and dried. Towels have been placed in the shower rooms so get dressed into your pjs and then a movie will be played and if you want to watch it you can but if not you can continue messing around but not in the pool."

We all hop out and I grab my bag then walk into the shower rooms and correct the shower to the right temperature and then I clean my hair and body then walk out with a towel wrapped around my body and walk into a cubicle.

I change into checkered pj shorts and a white tank top and Caseys oversized grey jumper.

I brush my hair and then quickly dry it with the hairdryers and then throw it into a messy bun.

"Thanks for that Emily. It was really fun." A few girls smile at me and I smile as they walk away.

"You ready?" Holly asks me and I nod and put my converse on then walk out with my backpack on my shoulder.

We meet the boys outside the showers and we walk pass the pool where Casey pretended to push me making everyone laugh.

We walk into the gym and put our bags by our sleeping bags then walk into the cafeteria and grab 2 boxes of pizza.

We sit at a table and we are told to take 2 pizzas and whoever sits with you has to take 3 slices each and then just share the rest among each other.

We quickly finish our food and then we are asked to go back to the gym.

"Okay so we are told its way too early to watch a movie. It is 10 after all but if you want we can watch it at 11:30. That gives you an hour and half to continue messing around for a bit. Sound good?" Melissa asks and everyone shouts yeah.

We exit the gym and walk into the football field.

"You know, us cheerleaders have been to every football game but we never actually played." I think out loud.

"So you want us to play with you?" Seth questions.

I look at Holly and Katie and Hayley and Ashley who joined us who smirk at me knowing what I'm thinking.

"Not exactly. We want to reverse the roles a little bit." I smirk.

"Emily?" Casey questions with a worried tone laced through his voice.

"Don't worry. We have spare uniforms behind the gym." Holly smiles a sweet but evil smile.

"But cheerleading and football are two completely different things. Cheerleading isn't a sport and cheerleaders aren't athletes." Casey and Seth say and we all gasp.

"Go get ready." We all say together.

The boys moan but they go anyway cause they know that there's no way they will get out of it.

"I don't think it's fair that only we get to see it. I think they deserve a much bigger audience." Katie says and we all chuckle as I high five Katie.

We all run into the school and start whispering to people to come out and sit in the bleachers as there was a show from the cheerleaders.

Eventually, everyone is sitting in the bleachers and I stand up on the bench with a megaphone and get everyone's attention.

"Okay so cheerleaders have been cheering for the footballers for every game and the guys get all the praise. Obviously feminism is important and needs to be highlighted so everyone, please welcome the Tigers cheerleaders!" I yell and throw my hand in the direction of the locker rooms where the boys are running out through a banner that Ashley and Hayley are holding up.

The boys freeze since they didn't know everyone would be there.

"Come on guys!" Holly yells.

We told the other footballers that it was  Caseys idea so they all had to do it and it was foolproof. The footballers are looking pretty really.

"Ready. Okay." I begin to do the routine as the boys start.

I step back and allow them to start cheering as I record it along with Holly.

"Emily, I said it before and I'll say it again, you are a genius." Holly screams and I laugh and bite my tongue as I high five her.

The boys finish and begin to walk back inside but we stop them.

"Now boys, if we just jumped in the same spot during your games, you wouldn't be very happy now would you?" I tease and they all throw their heads back whining.

"Throw a few flips in there." Holly yells enjoying their misery.

"And don't forget pyramid!" Katie shouts shaping her mouth with her hands for it to be louder.

Ashley puts music on and Title by Meghan Trainor begins to play and we all laugh throwing our heads back as the boys attempt cartwheels and flips.

They try the pyramid but they all kept falling and by the end, they were all lying on the floor puffing and panting.

I walk over to a breathless Casey and bend down and speak into the megaphone.

"What was it your were saying about cheerleading not being a sport?" I smirk.

"I was wrong." Casey chokes out.

"What was that?" Holly asks holding her ear.

I hold the megaphone up to Seth and he shouts.

"Cheerleading is a sport. Cheerleaders are athletes." Seth says.

I go around all of the footballers making them say that while we record them and then finally, I reach Casey.

"And now mr quarterback, what was it you were saying?" I question holding the megaphone up to his lips.

He sighs and stands up taking the megaphone off me.

He knows me too well. Do it right or not at all!

"I, Casey St Cloud, say Cheerleaders are indeed athletes and cheerleading is a sport and we will forever be grateful for everything the cheerleaders have done for us throughout our Highschool football careers." Casey says and everyone cheers while Casey picks me up and runs around the field with me making me chuckle as I scream stop into the megaphone. I hear everyone else laugh as well.

Casey then gently drops me on the ground and leans on top of me as he kisses me making me smile beneath his lips and everyone 'Awh'.

I stand up and chuckle.

We walk back over to the others hand in hand.

"I can't take you seriously in that uniform." I chuckle and Casey joins in.

"Are you happy?" He questions with a grin on his lips.

"Only thrilled." I smile leaning in for a peck off my boyfriend.

Casey smiles then throws his arm around my shoulders as I link our fingers and kiss his hand.

"Are we allowed be in here?" I whisper as Casey drags me in holding my hand.

"Well we went into the swimming pool, I say here is better than it." Seth answers.

"Where did daredevil Em go?" Holly asks and I chuckle.

We walk into the drama room and look through all the costumes on the rack.

I find a long old fashion dress and I go behind the curtain and change into it.

A few minutes later, everyone walks out of the curtains wearing old fashioned clothes.

I hear She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 playing from Hollys phone as she plays music.

"Here take a picture of me and Emily." Casey says passing his phone to Seth.

Casey picks me up and I throw my head back in laughter and I see Holly smiling over Seths shoulder at the pictures.

I then climb onto Caseys shoulders and we both do peace signs and Seth takes another picture.

I climb off Cases' shoulders and then we stand back to back doing the gun pose.

"If you guys are finished your photoshoot, they are starting the movie." Hayley smiles sticking her head in the door.

We change back into our clothes and then run into the gym quickly so nobody noticed us.

The Movie is The Duff and its 11:50 and everyone is lying down watching the movie that's shining from the projector onto the big screen.

My head is resting on Caseys chest and my legs are in my sleeping bag that are on top of Hollys body. Holly is leaning her head on Seths shoulder.

We have a big blankie covering us and I hold it close to my chest as I play with the necklace Casey got me the day he told me he loved me in coachella.

I lean into Holly and whisper.

"Do you wanna come pee with me?" She nods and stands up.

As we walk towards the door, I see Katie and Jamie making out.

I open my mouth in shock and then soon enough, it turns into a smirk.

We quickly go to the bathroom and once we are both finished, I lean against the sink drying my hands with a paper towel.

"So Jamie and Katie huh?" I say with a smile playing on my lips.

I'm happy for Jamie. He deserves something like this.

"Now that I think about it, they are pretty cute." Holly joins in.

"Let's get back." I say as we link arms and walk back into the gym and in the same positions.

In passing, we see Katie and Jamie sneaking in a couple pecks while they hold hands.

"So what do you think is best?" I whisper as I look up at Casey who is wearing a questioning expression.

"Kamie or Jatie?" I say and Casey raises his eyebrows in confusion and I point down at Jamie and Katie.

He lets out a deep chuckle and kisses the side of my head then messes with my fingers.

I sigh and lean back into Casey as I bring his hand up to mouth and kiss it.

"I am totally and utterly in love with you Emily Hunter." I hear Casey whisper sending chills down my body.

I turn my head so I'm looking up at him and I squint my eyes and bite my lip.

"That's all I've ever wanted to hear."

So I'm pretty proud of this chapter if I do say so myself!

Next chapter will still be a bit of senior lock in but only the start :)

So guys recently, my laptop played games on me and when I went to start writing, everything has disappeared and to say I didn't cry would be a huge lie.

I bawled.

This is my first story I've been proud of. I've made so so many but deleted them all because I wasn't proud but I like this one.

It showed me to back everything up ASAP!

But anyway, all is good now :)
