Divergent: Christina's point of view

Authors Note:

The next few chapters in the book are going to be made up by myself, because in the book, this is when Tris talks to Tori about bieng Divergent, and Tori's brother, and also when they hang Tris from the chasm, and Tobias saves her, which is good for me, now there could be more Will, and Christina parts.

Chapter eighteen!

The days have been crawling by slowly. Since then I have passed to more simulations, in one of them I was forced to swim in a tank full of shark, and I woke up just as one of them was about to bite my face off. In the second simulation I was hanging over the railing again, and this time the floor was full of dynamite so if I got off the railing I would be blown away, so I had to hang on for dear life. I guess I'm pretty lad that this time it was a simulation, and not real like the time before that.

So far I feel like every single person in initiation has been loosing it, Tris is barley around I have no idea whats gotten into her latley, Al just seems mad about everything, something about him seems off, Will though is getting hotter by the day, the teasing has been going up. Peter...well Peter was always crazy, and Drew quieter than usual, and Molly, she's growing a mustache.

I have to say I knew that facing our fears woud be hard, I didn't think it would turn almost everybody insaine. Right now I'm in my bed waiting for Will to awake so the teasing can start again.

I hear a shift, and then a shufffiling of feet. I wait a few seconds I wont show that I;m awake untill he takes off his shirt, just then Will slips off the shirt showing his beautiful muscels, his blonde hair shaggy his green eyes shining.

before he is ab;e yo put on his clean shirt, I shift, and pretend that I have just woken up. I yawn for dramatic effect. Then Will gives me that smile, that tells me that the funn has begun. He walks twoards my bed, then quietly lies down next to me, he turns on his side that way he's facing me, but I turn away from him. He wraps his arms around me, the same way a husband does to a wife. He then tugs me so close, that a shiver sends down my spine.

"Good Morning, beautiful." He whispers in my ear, his lips barley grazing my ear, I don;t think he has any idea of the affect he has on me, yet maybe he thinks the same thing.

I roll to my other side, so i can face him, when an accident happened, my face slammed into him, and my lips accidently landed on his, I quickly retreat that was a mistake, een though the kis, or the smash, or whatever you'd like to call it, lasted for less than even half a second, but just enough to know that when we kiss for real it will be amazing.

"Sorry that was an accident-"

"It's okay, really dont sweat it." He says, then gets up, and moves out of my way, great for having fun, nice going! I think to myself. After the little incident Will and I change in silent secretly glimpsing at one another every chance we got. 

When we're ready we don't even ask or tlk we just walk together to the launch room. On the way Uriah, and Marlene join us.

"hey hey." Uriah says sweetly. We smile, but niether Will or I say anything. We just walk in silence.

"What happened with you too?" asks Marlene.

"Nothing we're fine." I answer. "So what have you been up to?" I ask trying to defuse the tention.

"Uriah, and I were just talking about how later we were going to play a round of cards with Lynn, ans some of the other Dauntless- born initiates, want to join?" Says Marlene.

"Sounds like fun." Says Will.

"I'm in." I say, Marlene chirps with joy.

"So what was in your fear landcape yesterday?" Asks Uriah.

"Stuck in a fire with no way out." Says Will.

"Mine is a bit of a comlicated story." I say.

"Go ahead," says Uriah. "I love complecated stories, and it's not like anyways we are filled with stuff to do." Shrugs Uriah.

I launch into the story, of how Eric made me hang on the railing of the chasm for five minutes, after brutely loosing to the fight with Molly. Uriah, and Marlene were taking by suprise.

"I knew that Eric was harsh, I didn't think that he was this...evil!" Says Uriah.

"That's Eric on a good day." Says Will. "He made Al, stand infront of a target while, Four threw knives at him, but he's fine, Tris volunteered to take his place, she's fine, but Eric is just cruel."

"Hearing this makes me slightly happy, that we got Max as our training leader. Don't get me wrong, he yelled, and pushed us to our breaking points, but he did nothing like that." Says Marlene.

"Now I feel even worse that we got Eric, as our mentor." I say.

"Oh, I'm...sorry?" Says Marlene.

"Don't be I was just bieng honest, after all I was Candor, so what card game are we playing, bieng among the Candor, there was a lot of card games, and it all counted on skill, because no one can cheat, because we couldn't lie." I say.

"Poker," Says Uriah. "just to let you know, it's okay to bluff here. I find it so facsinating to hear about your old factions, I mean all i've ever known was Dauntless." Says Uriah. We all nod.

"I don't know about Candor, but I can tell you for sure that in Erudite there's nothing intresting, about reading and learning all day." Will says.

"Thats all you did?" Asks Marlene, "What did you do for fun?" asks Marlene in shock.

"For fun... I memorised the whole city map, right you know Edward? The guy who got stabbed in the eye, he's been studying the physics of hand to hand combat since we were kids, for fun." Says Will.

"That sounds boaring, but he must've been really good, but obviously not so good if Peter got ranked first." Says Uriah.

"Acctually, Edawrd got ranked first Peter was second. Then when the 'incident' happened, Edward and his girlfriend Myra quit. Then someone crossed there names out, and changed the order, but originaly Edward was first." I say. Rolling my eyes on the word 'incident'.

It remindes me of Will, and my incident.

"Yes!" Shouts Lynn. "Wooho!" She whoops. The rest of us groan.

"Thats the third time in a row that you won!" Says Uriah.

"Uriah," She says with a hurt expression. "Don't hate the player, hate the game." She says, and no matter how frusterated we are, we can't help, but laugh at Lynns comment.

"When we become memmbers, we should go into the casinos, and play for eal, against the real Dauntless gangsters." Says Marlene.

"Me maybe, you...not so much!" Says Lynn.

"Hey do you guys want to play Black Jack?" Will offers, and no one objects. Somehow Will does amazing, and starts winning back all the poker coins. We all stare in shock as Will wins yet again another black jack.

"How do you do that?" Complains Lynn. "No one is that lucky!"

"I guess Erudite did help with one thing. In my spare time I learnt how to count cards. All those hours of studying really paid off." He says smugly.

"So your cheating?" Says Uriah.

"No...I'm just using math to help me." Will says.

"So what your saying is that you cheat with math?" Uriah says.

"I'm not cheating!" He says anoyed."Everyone thinks that Math is a game of luck, but what they don't know us that it's about who uses the best formula." Will says.

"Yeah, well I slept through Math." Says Marlene. "It was too hard, and the teacher was too boaring."

"Hey, our Math teacher was my aunt!" Will says.

"Really?" Asks Marlene. "and you thought she was intresting?"

"Yes I thought my aunt was intresting." Says Will. "Can we just get on with the game?" He asks, we all get quiet as Uruah shuffles the cards. Watching him is starting to make me dizzy. Uriah layes out neetly piles of two. Will and I both reach for the same one. Noarmally if that would happen, we would laugh, but now it's just wierd.

"It's okay." I say. "You can have it." I tell him, and take the pile that's right next to it. I hold it uo, avoiding Wills eyes. Marlene looks back and forth from Will to me, she looks at us suspisiously.

"You kissed!" Acuses Marlene.

"WHAT?!?" Will and I say at the same time.

"We did not kuss!" I say.

"Why would you think  that."

"I knew it." Marlene says, and just like that our secret is gone.

"That's just really sad. If you guys were brave you would have saud ut, and faced the consequences." Says Lynn.

"What's important here..." Uriah says taking charge. "Is... when did it happen?" He says excitingly. Lynn groans at him, and he just shakes her off.

"The kiss furst of all lasted fo less then a fraction of a second-" Will says.

"Whatever nerd!" Lynn says.

"We were lying down on a bed together." They all raised they're abbrows at me, as if queshting. "Long story, and I turned to Will, and our lips bumped." I say.

"Awesome." Says Uriah.

"The queshtion is..." Says Marlene. "Do you enjoy ut? and most importantly do you want it to go further?" I figure this is my limit i've always been an awefull liar, well hello U was Candor. I decided to take the easy way out, I casualy change the subject.

"I never knew that the Dauntless could be so.."I thunk of the word. "Amity."

They all look at me, as if what I said was so bad. Instead of saying 'just kidding' I shrug like it's true.

"We are not Amity!"

"How dare you say that!"

"That's an unsult to human kind!" T once he room erupts into a fight. They all shout thunking that they're winning, but what they don't know is that I already won. Our secret will be kept for a little longer, but soon I have to come to a conclusion with my thoights, and Will and I have to decide what we're going to do.
