Divergent: Christina's point of view

Chapter Nineteen!

It's already night, and Will and I parted our ways with Uriah, Lynn, and Marlene. The walk back was just awkward, really what was I supposed to say 'um, hey remember this morning when I accidently kissed you, uh, didi you like it?' Not! I really need to talk to someone about this. Maybe I should tell Tris, that's when I realize that I haven't seen Tris the entire day. That's something I can ask Will, thanks Tris, wherever you are! I think.

"Have you seen Tris?" I ask Will. He hesitates for a momment.

"Actually I have not." He says, I nod. Another momment of silence.

"Do you think something happened to her?" I ask.

"I sure hope not." Will says. It gets awkward again.

"So...do you think that sh-"

"CAN YOU PLEASE STOP THAT!" Will says out of nowhere. I look at his face.

"What am I doing?" I ask. He looks at me with an agrivated expression.

"Stop trying to change thesubject, why even bother, the point is that we accidently kissed, and what we OBVIOUSLY both want to know is, if it meant something? so please just cut the crap!" He says, I stare at him, my jaw litteraly droped to the floor.

"Where did that got come from?" I say mockingly. "RRAAWWWEE" I say like a Cat. He tries to look serious, but I know what I saw, and that what his lips twitching up into a smile. "Oh come on, don't be such a Eric!" I say.

"I'm not an Eric!" He says.

"Good, because he's hairy, mean, and farts a lot." I say.

"I'm not even going to laugh at that!" Will says.

"I saw you smile." I say. Then a second later he starts to laugh hysterocially, clutching his stomach. If there's one thing I can do better than anyone else that's to make Will laugh. Will begins to lighten up.

"Has anyone ever told you, that you woukd be a great comedian?" Will asks.

"Yes people have said that all the time to me back in Candor, but the comedians in Candor were all mean all they basically did, was make fun of everyone, don't get me wrong some of it was hilarious, but the poor people." I say.  "Have you ever thought that we'd be here in Dauntless?"

"To be honest, no I never saw myself here. I always visualized myself as an Erudite, I mean it's all i've ever known. I always did think, thiugh, that the Dauntless were amazing, I just never thought that I would be one untill I got it as my apditude test result." He says, with a dour expression.

"I understand what you mean." i say. When we enter the bunk, I see Peter, lying down on his bed, coking his head to the right obviously deep int thought, next to him on her bed is Molly, shakimg her head at Peter. there's no Tris, no Drew. I look around for Al, but I don't see him.

That's when I hear a sob, it's Al. I look for him, and so does Will.

"Overhere." Says Will. Sitting hunched over his boddy is Al, for the first tim Al actually looks small to me. I sit down next to him. I wrap my arms around him, and squeez him tight.

"Al, what's wrong, do you want to  tell us what happened?" Will asks, puttting his hand on Al's shoulder. He shakes his head.

"Is it that bad?" I ask, he nods, what could he have posssibly done.

"I'm sure it's no that bad." I say trying to sound strong.

"I don't want to talik about it." Al says.

"Are you sure, budddy?" Asks Will. Al nods, I give hi one really tight squeeze, and let go. I leave, as Will and I walk to the bathroom to brush our teeth I ask,

"What do you think happened?"

"I don't know," says Will, "but haven't you notuced how wierd Al has been acting lately. Obviously there's something going on that we don't know about."

"So what should we do?" I ask.

"Us, nothimg. We should just sleep, and in the morning we'll figure out what to do." He says, right now I feel like he is my boyfriend trying to soothe me. He begins to brush his teeth, and I also do. Right before we I lye down on my bed. Will grabs my arm, and ouls me into a tight hug. Everyone is already asleep. He kisse me on my forehead. Then lets go.

"Goog night," He whisperes. Then goes to lye down in his bed.

I try to fall asleep, but I can't. I'm so worried about Al, Tris. I'm also worried about Dauntless initiation. I can't fall asleep. That's when I hear footsteps. I don't know who it is. I prepare to strike him. I waut for him to come close, close...closer.....Now! I reach to hit the person, but the person catches my hand, and that's when I see that's Will.

"Relax it's just me." He whisperes.

"Can't fall asleep either." I say, he nods his head.

"Sorry if I woke you up." He says then turns to leave.

"Will," He turns to face me. "Will you stay here with me?" I ask. At first he hisitates.

"Sure." Then he climbs into my bed I face to my left, and he holds me by my waist. The feel of our boddies is so natrual it's like were two peaces of a puzzle that fit together. He skims my hair with his hand, I don't want him to stop, and he doesn't. Then I relax, and as simple as that fall sound asleep.
