It was New Year's Eve. Piper and Jason threw a party at their penthouse. Piper had a plan in action. Jason would force Percy to dress in a tux, while Piper forced Annabeth to wear a blue dress. The plan was to have Percabeth together by 12 am, so they would kiss when the ball dropped.
They had both just gotten out of really bad breakups. Piper and Jason managed to get Percy and Annabeth in the same area so they would talk to each other. Piper checked her phone,
'11:49. I've still got time.'
Piper and Jason watched as Percy and Annabeth talked on the balcony. Suddenly, the ball dropped. Percy leaned in and they kissed. Jason turned Piper around and kissed her.
"Happy New Years Pipes."
"Happy New Years Jace."
