Loyalty (Sasuke Uchiha)

I trailed behind Sasuke as we made our way to the next hideout.

I hadn't spoken to him ever since he released Suigetsu, one of my Father's experiments that I had hated the most. Well, there was Sasuke himself that I hated.

But I was still in shock. I felt lost at the moment, unsure of why I was still following Sasuke.

Orochimaru was dead. And I made a promise to Naruto...

I hid my shock, my emotions behind a brick wall, placing a tense expression on my face.

"By the way. It was your team, wasn't it? The team that brought down my great predecessor, Zabuza Momochi."

I narrowed my eyes at Suigetsu as he appeared before us, swimming casually in the huge puddle he created in the middle of the path.

"Whatever happened to his blade.. The Executioner's Blade?"

But Sasuke didn't reply while I continued to glare at him and his shark teeth.

"Say.. If you tell me where the blade is, and I take possession of it, then I'll be willing to help you."

I gritted my teeth together in annoyance.

But Sasuke kept walking, ignoring his comment with a "Put some clothes on."

I scoffed.

Finally I felt Suigetsu's eyes look at me for the first time.

"My my, Miyako. You look even more beautiful compared to the last time I saw you." He flashed me a grin, showing off his nasty shark teeth.

But I only simply kicked his face.

I smiled as we stopped at The Great Naruto bridge. It was calming seeing his name, reminding me that I could go back to him in the future.

"The Great Naruto Bridge? What a weird name." I rolled my eyes as I heard Suigetsu slurping through a straw right next to me.

"Say, was the great Zabuza Senpai strong?"

"Obviously not since he's dead." I muttered sarcastically.

"Aw, don't be so bitter to me, beautiful. Just because I didn't ask you out before-"

"Shut up." I snapped.

But Sasuke never replied to his question. I moved my eyes to his face, seeing him look up at the sign that read "The Great Naruto Bridge", an unreadable expression on his face.

"What's the matter, Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked.

Nothing.

"Sasuke?"

"Nothing. Let's go."

"You miss him, am I correct?" I dare asked.

Sasuke was silent for another moment, before starting to walk off, ignoring my question.

We arrived at the graves of Zabuza and Hakku, only to see no sword.

"It's not here. Say, Sasuke, are you sure it was here?"

"Yeah."

"But it's not here. I wonder why?"

"Isn't it obvious? Someone probably stole it, idiot." I snapped.

"Hmm. You're right.. It wouldn't have walked off its own." Suigetsu said, ignoring the fact that I called him an idiot.

"Sasuke, sorry. But without the blade here, me joining you will have to wait."

Thank god.

"What'll you do then?" Sasuke asked Suigetsu as we walked on through the village.

"What else? I'm gonna look for it. The blade of the Seven Ninja Swords Men of the Mist was passed down from generation to generation. That was the system. I aspired to become one of them and trained for it. Since Zabuza Senpai is gone.. I'm the one who should possess the Executioner's Blade."

A person suddenly shoved Suigetsu's shoulder.

"Watch were you're going, baka!"

I watched as Sasuke grabbed his wrist, preventing Suigetsu from doing anything more stupid that he already is.

"What? You have a problem bro?" The guy who shoved Suigetsu came back.

But I watched in amusement as his expression turned into one of fear as Sasuke glanced at him.

I rolled my eyes as the dude walked off, sending insults in our way.

"You're so nice, Sasuke... unlike my beautiful Miyako here.."

I swung my fist at him, colliding my knuckles with his face as he fell to the side. If I had punched him any harder, he would've flown.

Sasuke sent me a warning glare but I only turned around, continuing to walk off, leaving them behind.

I glared at the girls that were admiring Sasuke from the other side of the room. Could they at least keep their whispering and squealing quiet?

We stopped in some store so Suigetsu could eat after being trapped in a water tank for a long time. I sat on the inside as Sasuke sat next to me, leaning back against the wall to glare at the girls.

When they saw my expression their eyes widened in fear before looking away quickly and probably gossiping about me.

"Can you afford to relax like this?"

"But.. You're the one in a rush. Why're you gathering us together anyway? And why did you bring Orochimaru's daughter?" Suigetsu pointed his spoon at Sasuke.

I glared holes through that idiot's face.

"I'll kill you." I growled at him.

"I'll tell you when we've all assembled. And as for Miyako... Orochimaru and I share one thing in common. To protect her."

My heart skipped a beat. I averted my eyes from Suigetsu as I watched Sasuke. He looked very much more attractive up close. But that scowl of his was still a problem.

"Hmm.. 'Alright let's go conquer the world!' You're not gonna say something like that, are you?"

"Do that on your own time. I'm aiming for... something much bigger."

I shut my eyes in annoyance.

"If anyone else started saying that, I wouldn't believe it for a second. But with you... I think it's maybe possible.. And that's the strange thing.

Oh say... The Great Naruto Bridge, was it? Ever heard of a large blade near that bridge?" Suigetsu asked a girl that dared to come by our booth.

"Well... Oh, maybe there was.. What about it?" A girl replied.

"He's looking for that blade."

"Huhh?!! Someone might know about it.. I'll go and ask! Oh dear!" She screamed in excitement, her entire face turning red.

My eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

And then the sound of other girls' screams filled my ears.

I shot up onto my feet, standing on the booth. I sent them all a deathly glare, their eyes widening in fear. I knew they could feel the rage literally seething off me.

"Miyako." Sasuke said.

"What?!" I snapped.

He grabbed my hand, yanking me back down onto my butt.

"You're quite the ladies' man, eh?" Suigetsu said.

I felt my anger boil even more.

And then it tipped when all the girls flooded over, surrounding Sasuke with their heart eyes, claiming they knew of the blade.

That's it.

I crawled over Sasuke, ignoring his surprised expression, then jabbing my finger in front of their faces.

"You have five seconds to get lost or I will kill all of you." I growled.

Their eyes widened even more, all their faces turning red in embarrassment and then they ran off screaming.

Sasuke snaked his arm around my waist, pulling me back onto my seat.

"Ehh? Miyako, are you jealous? You like Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked.

"Tch. Of course not." I said with arms crossed.

"Good. Because remember, you are mine!"

I punched him.

I separated with those fools after that, telling them to come find me once they found the damn blade.

I sat alone in the far corner of a near empty restaurant. Whenever my waitress came by to ask what I wanted, I forced her to get me something very strong that would make me forget my stresses.

Surprisingly, she complied.

I felt the disgusting eyes of men staring at me with hunger in their eyes as the waitress finally delivered my drink.

I met her eyes with a glare.

"Thanks."

And then I downed the drink.

I would regret my decision very soon.

"They'll kill you when they find out you have me." I warned the bearded man, the leader of this castle.

"You are tied up in the most powerful rope created, one that restricts power and strength. You think you are one to speak?" Tenzen tried to sound intimidating, but I could hear the fear in his voice.

"I'm just saying. You drugged and abducted the wrong person." I shrugged.

I smiled when I heard footsteps racing up the stairs.

Tenzen panicked, grabbing a knife and then yanking me up on my feet. He wrapped his arm around my chest, pressing the blade of his knife to my neck.

Ew. Suigetsu appeared, a grin on his face before it was replaced by surprise.

"Miyako??"

"You know him?" Tenzen asked me.

"Sadly."

"Hmm. How did you manage to get yourself captured, I wonder.." Suigetsu said, an amused smirk on his lips. He didn't even glance once at the knife that was held to my throat.

"Shut up!" Tenzen yelled, causing me to wince since his mouth was literally right at my ear. He drew the knife harder against my skin, the blade piercing the layer. I felt a small trail of blood trickle down.

"You.. You defeated all those men by yourself?!"

"Well, duh. Even with legitimate weapons, attacking me is pointless. But now... If you don't release the Princess Miyako, I will be in big trouble.." Suigetsu wanted. An image of a furious Sasuke flashed through my mind.

The blade sunk deeper into my neck as I felt more blood oozing out. Suigetsu didn't seem concerned about my well being at all, which annoyed me.

"If legitimate weapons are of no use.."

The wall tore down as a crazy idiot charged at Suigetsu, the Executioner's Blade in the hands of the idiot that swung it.

"Say, that's my Executioner's Blade." Suigetsu said rather excitedly.

And then his body was sliced in half.

I rolled my eyes. Dramatic idiot.

"Ah! You did it!" Tenzen shouted, his hold around me tightening. "You let down your guard at the very end."

Suigetsu joined him in laughter, causing Tenzen to panic and plunge the knife deeper into my neck.

I could feel the vast amount of blood cascading from that wound at this moment, panic flooding in. Shiroryuu couldn't do anything about this since the stupid rope that restrained me blocked not only my abilities but hers also.

"You bastard, are you trying to get me killed?" I snapped. I was worried, scared even. But I was more scared that for the first time ever I couldn't feel even a sliver of Shiroryuu within me.

"Sorry. Blades won't work for me. See?" Suigetsu pieced his body back together.

"And don't worry, Princess. You can hang on a bit longer. Now.. I'm jealous." Suigetsu turned his attention back to the idiot. "You can wield the blade without any special training.. It helps when you have good physique."

The idiot swung down the blade, but Suigetsu appeared before him using water ability.

"I hear you've been telling everyone in town that you killed the Demon Zabuza and took that blade from him." Suigetsu placed his hand over the blade's handle.

"That wasn't me.. It was Lord Tenzen who.."

"Hmm? So you killed Zabuza Senpai?"

"Cut the shit idiot and get me out of this." I threatened him. I blinked a few times to try and force my vision to focus, but I could feel myself slipping.

I froze in Tenzen's hold, suddenly feeling alert when I felt his presence.

"The one who killed Mr. Zabuza wasn't me.."

I moved my blurry gaze over to Sasuke as he made his way up the steps slowly.

His eyes instantly flew to me and the blood that oozed from the knife still in my throat.

I could feel the anger radiating off him, his teeth clenching together, rage flashing through his eyes.

"He's the one! He's the one that killed Mr. Zabuza! All I did was bring the blade back from the grave!" Tenzen yelled out, yanking the knife out of my neck and pointing at Sasuke with it.

I gasped, trying to pull my hands up to cover my bleeding wound, but it was no use in this role. The surrounding around me suddenly got blurrier.

Sasuke was in front of me in a split second, shoving Tenzen's filthy hands off me as he took me in his arms, before appearing back to where he stood in front of the stairs.

"Cut the rope.." I drawled out, my head rocking back. I tried my hardest to stay conscious.

My vision was now getting more foggier as Suigetsu's words slurred.

I could feel the ropes fall into pieces around round me as Sasuke pressed his hand on my neck to help stop the bleeding.

In an instant I felt Shiroryuu react inside of me. The feeling of her presence, of her power within me instantly put me at ease. As much as I hated to admit it, I enjoyed her soothing and calming presence.

Even now, as I laid here in Sasuke's arms, I could feel her chakra enveloping my wound, relieving the stinging pain.

And then I felt her slowly piece it back together from within, as she forced me into slumber.

"Well, I understand now... what kind of guy you are." I woke up, hearing Suigetsu's voice. I didn't open my eyes, knowing that it was Sasuke carrying me once again.

"And you're exactly the way I imagined you to be. Anyway, I have my blade. So I'll help you as promised.

So which way do we go? Oh wait. The nearest route, right? That would be your answer."

I took that moment to flash from Sasuke's grasp, kicking Suigetsu across the face.

"Owww! Miyako!!" He cried out.

"You almost got me killed, you idiot!" I screamed at him.

"Miyako."

I glanced over at Sasuke as he watched me with a slight frown.

"What?"

He only looked away after staring at me for a few more moments, and then begun to walk away.
