XXII: Entrapped
Miyako's scream echoed throughout the lake. Well, it would have if it weren't for the fog that limited her sound.
Her crystal eyes suddenly glowed as her scream slowly formed into an enraged roar.
Three tails eye pulsed as he released Miyako's body, the end of one of its tails burnt as she fell to the ground.
She turned swiftly and landed on her knee and hand, sending a harsh shock wave throughout the lake that gradually began to clear the fog.
Three tails watched her with wide and familiar eyes as white chakra begun to envelop her entire body.
Miyako stood up slowly, under the possession of Shiroryuu as she watched her child with narrowed eyes.
"Do not kill Miyako, Isobu." Shiroryuu warned
So. I see you are still alive. Isobu was disappointed.
"I never died, my child. I was always there, roaming the world freely until the perfect vessel was created in order to seal me." She flashed him a slight smile.
What do you want, Shiroryuu?
"Are you aware of the goals of the Akatsuki?"
I do not care.
"They aim to capture all of the tailed beasts."
To revive the Ten Tailed Beast, I assume?
"That thing must never be awakened again. Its my time to join in the fight. Allow me to protect you."
Like you did during the wars?
Shiroryuu narrowed her glowing eyes at Isobu as he whipped out his tail, aiming for her gleaming body.
Shiroryuu stopped Isobu's tail with her hand, before slamming it down into the water. Huge waves were emitted throughout the lake.
By this time the fog had almost cleared.
Kabuto approached them stealthily, a syringe in his hand, filled with the solution that kept Miyako's beast sealed.
Now, if he could only get close enough to inject in into Miyako's body without getting discovered by the beasts.
You may be the light side, the other half of the Ten Tailed Beast, but that doesn't mean I'll take pity on you.
Isobu swung all his three tails at Shiroryuu once again, as Kabuto took that chance to instantly appear behind Miyako.
Shiroryuu sensed him in an instant as she whipped her arm back while building up a barrier around herself to deflect Isobu's swing, but Kabuto had the needle pointing towards her arm. She gasped as soon as she realized that she had just thrust her arm into the needle, as Kabuto shot the solution into her system.
He had expected more of a challenge to get up close to the Mother of Beasts. But he found her chakra well controlled and kept at a small extent so that the Leaf Shinobi wouldn't feel her presence.
Shiroryuu knew of Miyako's anxiety. Although Miyako treated her bad at times, Shiroryuu honored her wishes of not having her discovered by the shinobi or the Akatsuki.
Shiroryuu's barrier dissolved as she crumpled to her knees, the white chakra around her flickering.
Just as Isobu swung again, Kabuto scooped Miyako up into his arms before racing out of sight.
Isobu just stayed there and observed as he let Kabuto run away with his mother. Shiroryuu was not the mother of the tailed beasts, as everyone believed her to be. Longing to rest his body and powers, Isobu dove back down into the water, ignoring Shiroryuu's arduous screams.

Miyako
I woke up with sweat covering my face as I laid tranquilized.
My entire body was numb from my torso to my feet as an uncomfortable tingling sensation rung throughout my body.
"Good. You're awake."
I moved my head to the side, seeing Kabuto approach me with a syringe.
I sent him a harsh glare.
"What happened?"
"You foolish girl. You don't even remember."
"Last thing I remembered was that I was being crushed to death.. Shiroryuu took over, didn't she?"
Kabuto stopped in front of me, kneeling down on the ground so he could scrutinize me closer.
"Do you remember anything that happened between Shiroryuu and three tails?" Kabuto inquired.
"No." I replied in a straight tone. "What did you do to me?"
"You have the Mother of the Tailed Beasts inside of you, which allows your body to heal faster than those jinchuuriki with a tailed beast inside of them. But its taking longer to heal your body because you were crushed by a Tailed Beast."
"Are my bones still broken?"
He glowered his eyes at me. "No."
"Then I'm fine. Now let me go." I snapped in irritation.
"Now now, princess. I'm afraid I can't do that."
I blinked up at him. "Excuse me?"
"I am well aware of your intentions. And it is that which I cannot release you."
"You bastard." I growled. "Release me!"
"I know you plan on helping Naruto in some way, and I know your urge to kill Lord Orochimaru. Now, I cannot kill you, but I can keep you trapped like a caged animal."
"You think you can entrap me?!" I roared, straining against the drug he had injected into my body to make me numb.
"Why, I already have."
My eyes dilated as I felt him insert the needle into my neck, sending a chilling sensation throughout my body.
I watched Kabuto with hatred filled eyes as he took a few steps back and performed a few hand signs, a green force field forming around me.
"This should keep you locked away for a while. It keeps the person inside locked in while allowing those on the outside to cross through it. Oh, and your powers are only effective outside the barrier, leaving you with only taijutsu to defend yourself with. Try what you want. Only I can break this barrier."
"When I get out of here, I promise I will give you the honor of dying at Shiroryuu's hand." I yelled after him as he turned on his heel.
"Whatever keeps that imagination of yours running, princess."
And with that, Kabuto disappeared from my sight.
It just happened that at that moment, whatever he injected inside me begun to take effect.
The feeling in my fingers and toes deliberately came back as I sat up slowly, now feeling the aftereffects of the three tails' terrifying strength. Although my bones were no longer crushed, I could feel the broken parts grinding against each other as I struggled up onto my feet, hissing in torment at the slightest movement that would cause my body to spazz.
I reached into my chest, pulling out a tiny syringe filled with a small amount of liquid.
I eyed my belt that carried my small number of weapons, along with a few vials and a syringe, given to me by Father just in case I got myself into any trouble. Like right now.
Good thing Kabuto didn't search my body while I was unconscious.
I stabbed the needle into my arm as I felt this cure start at its work.
Well, it wasn't really a cure. It was just a pain numbing solution that lasted for a maximum of who knows how long, but lets just hope it is in effect long enough to get myself out of here.
I pressed my hand against the barrier as it shocked me.
Damn.
I could feel eyes surrounding me as the forms hid in the trees, waiting for the perfect moment to strike me.
I brought my hands to my face, performing a set of hand sides as they emerged.
Orochimaru's failed experiments.
I dodged a.. hand, no, a stretched arm as it shot at me, tearing through my haori with its nails.
I looked down at my torn haori as it sizzled.
Poison nails.
"Sorry, princess. We can't let you finish that jutsu."
I turned to the man who had spoken, his build huge, a nasty scar going down his entire face as he stood there with arms crossed. His eyes were a dark blue as he smirked down at me.
"Come at me, big boy." I said, holding my arms out to him.
He smirked, shaking hid head as he approached the barrier, before stopping just inches from it. The other experiments watched me cautiously.
"Come closer. Let me tell you a little secret." I said with a small smile, motioning him to come closer with my finger.
"If you try anything, princess, we will kill you."
"Don't worry. I won't." I lied.
The second his body came through the barrier I grabbed his shirt in my fist, yanking him down into my lips.
I forced his mouth open as he was taken by surprise, pouring just a bit of my chakra into him while sucking just a tad of his soul of him.
And then I pulled away, smiling at him. Now I controlled him. A little trick Orochimaru had taught me.
His dark blue eyes were now glowing a bright blue as he stared down at me, emotionless.
Kill them. Kill them all.
