All of us
"Mornin'" Carl said as he kissed my cheek, then continuing on chewing his cereal. I smiled.
"Good morning." I chuckled. My smile faded as I proceeded to talk. "You know that meeting Deanna's holding tonight... Do you think they're gonna kick your dad out?" I asked.
"I don't know...maybe...but if they do, you know I'm gonna go with him, right?" He asked, pulling me close to him. I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Me too." I said.
"What about the group? your dad?" He asked. I sighed.
"I haven't seen him in, what, days? How do I even know if he's alive anymore. He's with Aaron. We don't even know him yet... And what if they find someone? You know how much we threatened Aaron, who knows what people might do to him... Who knows if someone killed him or if he's hurt... Or he might be alive but I just don't know." I shrugged.
"Don't think like that. He's alive." He told me. I nodded.
"So if your dad leaves...you're just gonna leave all of us too? Judy, me, the group... You'll just leave all of us?" I asked.
"We don't even know if he's gonna be kicked out yet. Don't worry about it." He said I nodded and let go of him. Michonne walked in and Rosita walked out of the house. Mic hone came in to watch over rick while he was passed out.
"I'm gonna go make sure everything's alright with your dad." I said and walked to Rick with michonne.
Rick was still asleep. I decided I should probably change the bandages and stuff on his face.
I kneeled down so I was level with him and began to replace band-aids with fresh ones and stuff like that.
Michonne was sitting in a chair in the corner of the room.I noticed ricks breathing patterns change and he opened his eyes and looked at me. I looked to his eyes after I was done putting on the last bandaid.
"Hi." I said and took my hands away from the bandaid on his face. He sat upright and chuckled.
"What's so funny?" Michonne asked. Rick looked up at her, startled.
"I didn't notice you were here." He said.
"What's so funny?" She asked again. I looked over at Rick.
"This is like the train cart. At terminus. This place was supposed to be safe, but it's not..." Rick said. I looked up at him.
"Just because one person abused their wife and got into a fight with you doesn't mean this place isn't safe, rick." I said.
"You saw Nicholas abandon aiden. And you saw Nicholas escape, so that he could live, and then Noah died." I looked up and saw Glenn, carol, and Abe.
"Don't talk about him. Don't talk about Noah." I said. Glenn nodded.
"Is this what you wanted to happen?" Glenn asked rick.
"No. This isn't what I meant to do." Rick sighed.
"They might kick you out now and it's literally for nothing. They think you're dangerous." I finished putting bandage on ricks hand and stood up.
I walked outside and walked down the sidewalk. A couple Alexandrians we're talking, but all attention turned onto me when I walked by them.
"What, you think I'm dangerous too? You think I'm stealing guns too? We aren't dangerous. We're just survivors." I shrugged, turning back around and walking away.
"Melissa!" I felt arms wrap around my waist. I turned around and saw Trevor smirking at me. I pushed him away and backed up.
"What the hell do you want?!" I yelled. He looked at me and smirked once more.
"You." He said and pinned me against the nearest wall. He made it so that there was no space in between us. I squirmed trying to get away, but nothing was working.
"Shhh. Now, where were we?" He asked and began kissing me. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I tried to get away. He ran his hands down my face as he kissed me roughly.
"LET GO OF HER!" I heard someone yell before the weight of Trevor was taken off of me. I kept my eyes shut as I heard arguing and fighting from beside me.
I felt two hands cup my face and I jerked back.
"Hey, hey, you alright?" I heard carls voice. I tried to hold back sobs but failed. I slowly opened my eyes and saw carls concerned face. I was quick to wrap my arms around his torso.
"Where'd he go?" I whispered, wiping my mouth with my sleeves.
"He ran off. Oh god, I'm so sorry." He said. I shook my head but didn't answer.
After a while I began to laugh. Carl let go of me and looked at me like I had three heads.
"Why are you laughing?" He asked.
"We never catch a break, do we?" I chuckled. He smiled softly and shook his head.
"Let's head inside and watch Judy." He said. I nodded, wiping tears from my eyes. "Okay." He held me close to him as we walked down the street, glaring at anyone who stared at me. Who wouldn't stare? A married, seventeen year old girl, walking down the street and crying. I know I'd stare.
"Goddammit have some respect, would ya?" I heard Carl say to some staring kids. We walked inside his house and I sat down on the couch.
"That wasn't your fault. Don't feel bad," Carl said. I nodded, holding his hand.
Rick walked through the door, and me and Carl stood up.
"You aren't coming tonight." Rick told Carl.
"What?" He sighed.
"I'm gonna have to threaten some people. Maybe kill one. I don't want you there. You can watch Judith." He told Carl. Carl didn't argue, but I could tell he wanted to. Things have been better with him and rick lately and he didn't really want to ruin that.
"Sorry, Carl." I sighed.
"You too." Rick said.
"Rick, I'm going to that meeting tonight. You aren't my father to tell me what I can and can't do." I said. He sighed.
I heard Judith's cries and I walked back over to the couch.
Carls pov
She walked over to the couch and had Judith in her hands. I sighed and walked over to them. Dad walked upstairs and I saw down beside Melissa.
We didn't talk. She rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes with Judith in her arms. I wrapped my arm around her and stroked her hair, looking at Judith in her arms.
Judith was fast asleep in Melissa's arms. Judith looks so much like my mom did. Beautiful.
I looked down at Melissa on my shoulder. She was asleep too. Her cheeks still we're tear stained. I feel so bad for the shit she has to go through. I wanna hell her feel better but I don't know how. I can just tell she has all of these emotions stored up inside her but she doesn't want to admit it to anybody.
I felt her wrap her free arm that wasn't holding Judith around me. I smiled and kissed her head, leaning my head on the couch and falling asleep.
Melissa's pov
I woke up on the couch with Carl. Judith was no longer in my arms, so I'm assuming rick or someone brought her upstairs. I looked outside and noticed the time.
It's almost time for the meeting.
I slowly inched myself out of carls grasp, careful not to wake him up. When I succeeded, I walked out of the house and I jogged over to where a big group of people were sitting around a campfire.
"We're here to talk about rick Grimes. About how he beat Pete up, about how he stole guns, how he-"
"Can we wait? There still people who need to come. Rick, Glenn, Nicholas, they're not here either, they'll be here soon. Can we wait?" Maggie asked. Deanna didn't answer.
"They'll be here." I said.
"As I said, we're here to talk about Rick Grimes,"
