LONG CHAPTER SORRY
Melissa's POV
"Hey, Noah." I sighed while I mopped the halls. Noah is another guy around Beth's age who is also forced to stay at the hospital.
"Hey, Melissa." He smiled. He was taking towels back and forth from the laundry room and the hospital rooms.
"Where's beth?" I asked.
"She's helping dawn with a patient. He fell from a building. Go down the hall, you can probably hear dawn yelling at her." Noah sighed.
"This place sucks..." I mumbled.
"I know..." He said. I began to walk down the halls with the mop. I began to feel lightheaded, but I ignored it.
I walked down the hall and sure enough, I heard Beth being yelled at by dawn. I saw dawn slap Beth in the face.
I walked in. "Um, sorry but...could I borrow Beth for a second? I need her..."
"For what?" Dawn asked, annoyed.
"I need her to help me find the- the janitorial closet..?" I said. I mentally slapped myself in the face. Dawn nodded and began working on the man that apparently fell from a building. He won't make it. No way.
Beth walked out and I quickly walked away from the room with her.
"Thanks." Beth sighed.
"No problem. But this is why I avoid dawn. So she doesn't...hit...me. I've had enough of that already." I whispered the last part.
"What?" I shook my head.
"Never mind."I said.
"And she wouldn't hurt you. You're fifteen." Beth said. I scoffed.
"That why did she knock me out and then threw me into the trunk of a car and kidnapped me, bringing me here to work against my own Will, not knowing if I'll even see anyone from the group again?" I said. She sighed and nodded.
"Yea... That makes it sound so much worse..." She said. I nodded.
Just then, some officers came in, wheeling in a woman with a bite mark on her arm. We followed them into the room, and dawn and the doctor came in.
"Melissa, hold her down for me." Steven said. I shook my head.
"I can't-"
"Do you want her to live?!" He yelled. I nodded and rushed over to her. I held down her shoulders, while Beth held down her good arm and helped dawn hold down her legs.
I saw doctor saw a piece of wire or something through her arm. I felt dizzy again, but I knew I had to stay conscious. Her arm was cut off, and I fell to the ground, blacking out.
Daryl's POV
Were almost at the hospital. It's been about a day or so since Melissa was taken.
Maggie, Glenn, Abraham, Rosita, Kayla, Eugene, Carl, Judith, and Tara and Gabe are waiting outside in a fire truck Abe found.
We have two of their officers. Were gonna make a trade. One of theirs for one of ours. Then one of theirs for one of ours again.
So it's me, carol, rick, Sasha, tyreese, and Noah are gonna take the two officers and trade them for Beth and Melissa.
How did we find the hospital you ask? We just followed the tire tracks from when they took Melissa. Easy.
I'm gonna get my daughter back.
Melissa's POV
I can't stand this anymore. Me and Beth and Noah tried to escape, but none if us made it out.
"I cannot fucking believe it!" Beth said. I stumbled back, shocked at Beth's words.
"This is the first time I've heard you swear. Wow." I slightly smiled. "We will make it out. I promise. We will make it out alive." I smiled. She nodded.
"Come on, I need to find the janitorial closet." I chuckled. She smiled and nodded, walking me to the janitors closet. There was barely anything in there, though.
"This is all?" I asked. Beth nodded and sighed.
"Yep..." She said. I sighed.
"Let's go mop up the blood from our earlier patient..." Beth said. I looked at her.
"I've seen someone get their leg chopped off... " I didn't wanna say Hershel's name. "I didn't black out or anything... It's just that, it was a peace of wire splitting her skin... If I didn't faint I would have puked." I sighed. She nodded.
"Were still going." Beth chuckled, I rolled my eyes.
"Fine." I sighed. We began to walk to the other side of the hospital.
"Is anyone here my age?" I asked.
"How old are you again?"
"Fifteen." I said. Beth shook her head. I sighed.
We made it to the woman's room.
Beth was called out of the room by Dr. Steven. I was left alone to mop up the room. I looked over my shoulder and saw that the woman was still asleep. I began to sing Need You Now by Lady Antebellum.
"Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor.

"You have an amazing voice." The woman, who I learn whose name was Joan,'s voice made me jump.
"I thought you were asleep." I said. I've never really sang in front of anyone before.
"I love that song. That song about anyone in your life?" She asked. I sighed and continued to mop the floor.
"Someone..." I said. "How's your arm?" I asked.
"Much better, thank you." She smiled. I smiled lightly back.
"I'm sorry I just don't really sing in front of people... I wasn't exactly allowed when I was younger." I said. My mom never liked it when I sang. Everyone at school thought I couldn't sing, either. I never sang in front of my dad, either, scared that he would judge me, too.
I looked at the door and saw Beth standing there, smiling.
"Why don't we invite the whole hospital? Make it a concert?" I sighed. She chuckled.
"I never knew you could sing so amazingly!" She said in awe.
"I don't, guys..." I mumbled.
"Melissa?" Dr. Steven Edwards came to the room.
I sighed. Did he hear me sing, too? "Yes?" I actually began to grow to like him. He's not mean like everyone else here.
"I need you to go get medicine for the patient that fell from the building. Give him a dose of clozapine." He said. I nodded and walked out of the room, into one of the rooms that had medicine in it. I searched through the bottles until I found it.
"Ah, clozapine." I said. I went to the man and put the medicine in a needle, injecting it into the mans arm. I walked out, back to Beth and Joan. Beth was gone, though. And Joan was gone, too. Probably walking around.
I walked out, when I saw Beth running to me.
"Woah, Beth. You look like you just seen a ghost." I chuckled at her startled face. "What happened?" I asked, picking a green lollipop from off her sweater.
"The- you know that really creepy doctor?" She asked. I nodded.
"The one that forced you to eat a lollipop?" I asked, replaying the memory of one of the police officers/ doctors taking a green lollipop from Beth, putting it in his mouth, then forcing it into hers.
"Well I went into dawns office-"
"Why?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter. Anyways, I went in there, and I saw Joan on the floor. She killed herself..." She said. I put a hand over my mouth.
"That officer walked in and tried to... And I-I knocked him out with a lollipop jar, he fell to the ground and walker- Joan kinda ate him..." Beth rushed her words. I put my hands on her arms.
"Beth, Beth calm down. It's okay. You don't have to tell them. They won't find out." I said. She nodded.
I heard loud beeping noises come from one of the rooms. Me, Beth, and Noah all followed all the officers to the room of the man who fell off the building.
He was seizing, and dying. Dawn stabbed him in the head.
"What happened? Steven sent you in here to give him medicine." Dawn said, looking at me. I looked at Dr. Steven.
"I did... I gave him clozapine..."
"I said clonazepam..." He said.
"You... Said... Clozapine..." I whispered. He shook his head.
"I didn't."
"Well then what happened?" Dawn asked, annoyed.
I was about to talk, when Noah stepping in front of me.
"It was me... I was mopping and I must have pulled I wire or something... Melissa went out to clean towels." He said. Beth nudged Noah's arm.
"What are you doing?!" We both whisper/yelled to him.
"Don't. Don't worry." Noah said. Dawn took Noah into her office or something. We both jumped when we heard Noah's cries of pain. I had to hold Beth back from running to him.

I was cleaning up the bed from what happened earlier. I swore he said clozapine...
Dawn walked in.
"I know it wasn't Noah, he's one of my best workers here," dawn said.
"Then why did you hurt him?" I asked.
"It's my job. You have to be punished for your actions. I take my job seriously here and I hope you do too." She said.
"I don't," I said. She tilted her head. "You can't just kidnap someone and expect them to work against their will. I wanna be with my family, not with you people!" I yelled, and with that, I stormed off.
"Noah..." I gasped when I saw Noah with a swollen black eye and busted lip.
"She knew you were lying... Noah you should have let me take the beating..." I said. He shook his head.
"You can't get hurt..." He said.
"I only ever got hurt before the world ended. Ten times worse than this. Next time, I take the beating." I said. Beth and Noah looked at me, shocked.
"You're parents were abusive?" Beth asked. I shook my head.
"No, only my mom." I said. She nodded and hugged me.

"Where's Noah?!" I asked Beth, worried.
"I saw him running... I think he tried to escape again... But he told me that if we ever did escape, he's find the group and bring them back here." Beth said, trying to stop me from hyperventilating. I nodded.
"God, I hope he gets out..." I sighed. She nodded.
"Beth, Melissa. Get ready, someone's coming." Dawn said. We looked at each other and nodded. We changed from our hospital scrubs into the clothes that we wore when we came here.
"Let's go." Dawn said as two officers grabbed us.
